Pros Again, it was easy to install and it perfomed to the client standards., We gathered intel on the particular subject an employee he wanted to investigare and he was satisfied with results. Cons The project was a pilot and it lasted one two weeks, the difficult part was uninstalling the software. It also slowed down the workstation and there were some issues with the installation and some security pop-ups came up. Client was upset and to this day we did not get paid for our work. I love the way I can make sure that my staff is being productive. Being a company that works a lot with internet is difficult not to get distracted. By checking the sites that they are visiting and for how long helps themselves realize if they can be more productive and also helps IT managers keep thins safe. It can also block certain websites and show a pop-up. It has very advanced features but the overlay of the system is completely easy to use anyone can understand it. You can set up alarms to notify you of "unproductive" websites being viewed and with this feature we have 100% reduced the amount of unproductive website viewing. Cons The only con we have with this program is that you are not able to have a constant live stream of your employee's computer. It gives you live screenshots but not a live feed. Once it was in place I was able to quickly see my employee going to Facebook and eBay quite often and for long periods of time. I generated reports and screenshots to document this. I was able to log in from any computer to access this information and see what was going on in real time. Cons The graphs are good but the info titles are available only when my cursor is on top of them. I screenshot, clipped and pasted to get the report I needed. Nobody likes to be surprised by an invoice before they are able to evaluate their licensing situation. Pros Pretty easy to use, once you get the hang of it. Screenshots are great. Reporting is great. New Team Pulse and Dashboard are awesome. Cons I sure wish the agents kept themselves updated. Data connect should not be an add-on, it should be included. The ease of reports is not user friendly. Simple access to reports would benefit me. Pros I like the fact of the tracking of the employees and seeing who is working overall. Cons I think the teaching of reports should be better. I know how to see about burn out but that is not what I am looking for. Reports and analysis potential are huge and alarming options above my expectations. Pros Easy to start and install, easy to navigate and everything is intuitive from the start. Reports are VERY detailed and show you everything you need and some more. Cons Uninstall could be solved better. E.G. If you are using version 8 and you need to uninstall it, you first have to update with new version and then uninstall. There is no auto-update for MAC. November 30, 2018 4.0 With all the distractions from social media, streaming video, etc. employees can be tempted to waste a lot of time on the clock on unproductive activities when they believe no one is watching. This software is proving invaluable in restoring operator productivity and preventing restricted activities on company computer equipment that could result in viruses as well as wasting network bandwidth. Pros Two main features that have been the most helpful are first, the ability to easily create custom alarm triggers along with personalized popup messages to the offending PC/operator. As soon as the employees realize the activities are being watched and flagged they immediately cleaned up their act. Second, the ability to produce a screen shot at timed intervals and upon trigger of an alarm allows us to paint a clear picture of what activities employees are wasting the most time doing as well as spot activities that may not easily trigger an alarm but are restricted based on company policy. Cons Difficulty to find fault with this system. The only issue we have encountered was a bug in the Mac version of the agent software. Customer service was very helpful and responsive. The interface is user friendly and it really overs a lot of features. There is even a free option to use the software. Cons Well the only cons to me is that it's not always nice as a IT consultant to install this for clients and see how some employees get asked to leave because they are doing their jobs, but hey, that's life and that's why there are software out there like ActivTrack. The ActivTrak team took the time to personally reach out to me in order to resolve the issue. They went above and beyond and honestly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend using this product as an activity and employee monitoring tool. Pros ActivTrak is extremely easy to install and simple to use. Most of my initial issues were easily resolved by adjusting the settings. For the first few weeks we had our employees manually log their hours and activity so that we could compare it to the data in ActivTrak. We wanted to see if there were any discrepancies that we needed to address as we transitioned our employees to work remotely. Once properly configured we have found that it is an extremely useful and very accurate product. Cons The cons that we initially experienced where due to user error and not the product itself. January 11, 2018 5.0 Traacking Pros 1 - It's easy to use. All you do is download the program to install, and it will automatically do everything for you. 2 - Screenshots every minute. This is such an incredible feature that allows me to keep track of exactly what's going on. 3 - Graphs and data visualization for productivity. All you have to do is tag which applications/use cases are productive/unproductive, and you can get a quick overview of what the computers are being used for. 4 - Weekly summary emails. This way I don't even have to log in to check, but get a top level summary of the most important news. 5 - Website Blocking. It's really great to be able to block websites simply and easily. Pros This product provides great feedback on the productivity of my employees. I am easily able to see work start and end times, idle times, and productivity times based on applications and programs in use. The ability to see this information in a quick easy to access graph and user interface has really allowed me to manage my employee's time efficiently and keep our office productive even while working remote. Cons I would like the software to have suggested lists for websites to block or trigger an alarm known to contain malware or commonly blocked by other businesses. Reason for choosing ActivTrak I reviewed and tested several products. I believe the user interface and availability to see and easily compile the relevant data was why I chose ActivTrak.
