### "Perfect solutions for media online storage"

April 30, 2025

4.0

Cloudinary is very robust for cloud storage with easy operation for files sharing.

Pros

Easy to setup for automatic upload from desktop folders. Large cloud storage size, never run off space for important files storage and backup. Fast upload speed to upload large video file size, 1GB file can be finished upload under 15 minutes or less.

Cons

Expensive plan pricing for unlimited cloud storage. There are more cheaper option on the market, but I think Cloudinary has a better option to manage rich media files like video, audio and digital asset.

### "Performs well, but is overpriced"

December 2, 2024

3.0

It works well, and loads links fast. Our developers like it. It's just not worth it from a cost perspective though.

Pros

We were locked into a lower legacy rate which made using Cloudinary a really good deal. It was simple and easy to use, and the links would load fairly quickly.

Cons

It really doesn't make sense price wise compared to many other competitors. If we weren't locked into a legacy rate, we would not use Cloudinary. The UI is also quite dated.

### "Simple, yet powerful"

April 28, 2025

Pros

Easy to access with straightforward operation to start uploading my files and document on the cloud storage. Quite cheap from other cloud storage platform on market. Various operation option to manage rich media like photo, video and audio is what make its special from others.

Cons

No issue right now. It has a good uploading speed and sharing a files with my colleagues is easy to do.

Using Cloudinary is generally positive and efficient, especially for developers and teams managing lots of images and videos. The platform is powerful and highly customizable, allowing users to transform, optimize, and deliver media effortlessly.

Pros

Upload, store, manage, and deliver images and videos easily through a centralized platform. 2. Automatic Optimization: Cloudinary automatically compresses and adjusts media for fast loading across different devices and networks.

Cons

Powerful Transformations: You can resize, crop, add effects, change formats, and apply other transformations via simple URL-based APIs.

### "Simplifies Image and Video Delivery Like a Pro"

April 13, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Cloudinary has been very positive. It's a powerful and reliable platform for managing images and videos, and it significantly simplified how I handle media in my projects. Features like automatic optimization, responsive image delivery, on-the-fly transformations, and a CDN-backed delivery system made a huge difference in performance and workflow.

Pros

cloudinary ui/ux experience is very next level and beginner can easily understand and there dashboard is very good and implementation is very comfortable

Cons

While Cloudinary is a powerful tool for managing and delivering media assets, the thing I liked least was its pricing model and usage limits.

### "Great cloud storage for a great price"

March 18, 2025

5.0

Excellent. We've had great uptime and the costs are very reasonable. The system is useful to us to store large amounts of images that are uploaded and saved to Cloudinary via API, which is a HUGE benefit for the software service that employs me. If I could give 10 stars I would

Pros

Cloudinary is really easy to use to manage large amounts of images, from PDFs to photos to video, and it's also simple to manage folders of these images so that it feels as simple as using folders on your PC. Uploading, resizing, and adjusting the sizes of images is also straightforward.

Cons

The steps to follow for configuring a new installation can be a little confusing, and some newer navigation options seem more opaque than the Cloudinary of a few years ago. However, this is often a reflection of a growing company's increasing software offerings.

### "Powerful and Reliable Media Management Platform"

April 28, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience has been excellent. Cloudinary streamlined all our media handling needs, offered reliable services, and improved our website’s performance and responsiveness. I would definitely recommend it for serious projects.

Pros

Cloudinary makes image and video management extremely easy with powerful APIs, responsive delivery, and automatic transformations. It saved me a lot of development time

Cons

While Cloudinary is powerful, the pricing gets quite expensive as you scale up, and some advanced features take time to fully understand and implement.

### "Excellent media storage platform"

April 17, 2025

5.0

Pleasantly easy to use for any users experience level. I recommend it for any organization that use many multimedia files for their operation.

Pros

Good things about Cloudinary is with its ability to mass manage larger volume of multimedia files like photo, video and audio without issue like quality decrease or corrupted file. The search box is intelligent enough to find accurate file based on the keyword that I type.

Cons

No option to integrate it with windows files for automatic sync. I have to upload it to the cloud storage manually and it can takes time for it to finish, and some interruption issue that require me to reupload the same files again.

### "It is a powerful tool for media management"

March 28, 2025

5.0

All in all, though, Cloudinary’s a great solution for anyone managing lots of media assets; it’s saved me a ton of time on manual edits, but I would suggest budgeting carefully as your usage scales.

Pros

I love how easy Cloudinary makes it to upload and display images and videos on a website with a few API calls — the optimization features alone blew my website’s load times in half, with lightning-fast delivery over a CDN.

Cons

But it starts getting pricey as you scale beyond the free tier, and I’ve found the documentation to be a little daunting trying to work out advanced transforms myself.

### "Transformative Image Management"

March 24, 2021

5.0

Overall it's been terrific. Customer support is responsive, the SDKs are great, and the features are innovative and outstanding.

Pros

I absolutely love the fact that I can upload an image and perform nearly any kind of transformation to it that I need in order to get it to display the way I need it to in my web applications.

Cons

The cost structure for using the platform includes transformations. However, it does not appear to let you make these a 'permanent' feature, so every time a request is made against your transformation it is counted toward your credits. It would be nice to see a way to make this more efficient, i.e. a one-time transformation cost for the image. If you have a thousand images being repeatedly transformed into the same transformation a million times a month, those transformations become extremely costly. And that's only one of the different metrics for the billing credits.

### "Easy to use, intuitive interface, great for Email Marketing team of 1"

May 7, 2018

4.0

Pros

Cloudinary is super easy to use. As the solo Email Marketer for my company, I am frequently swapping out images, setting up templates with new images, editing things, etc. and I was able to jump into the role and start cranking emails out right away. Once we get the code back from our agency, I am able to easily and quickly upload all visual assets to Cloudinary and I'm on my way with my emails! I particularly like the fact that I can upload a batch of images, and update the reference URL in the HTML file to the same prefix and everything flows through.

Cons

The search functionality to find old images you've already uploaded is pretty dismal. Not sure if it's user error on my part, but I had the exact name of the jpg file I was looking for, tried to search for it and no results were found. I tried to add image file type (.jpg and .jpeg) to the end of the name and still no dice.

### "Great interface, easy to implement"

February 25, 2021

5.0

If you want to implement image or video uploading in a very quick way - use it now.

Pros

It was super easy to implement it inside our software. It's super helpful in image managing

Cons

It's a little too much for what we need and therefore the pricing is not the best for us. I would prefer to have some much thiner product if it could make it cheaper. we don't use all the functions

### "An impressive online Image editing tool."

April 29, 2019

5.0

Monthly 20gb free storage and bandwidth just free, with optimization of your software and lots of integration and plugins to support any platform. It is best for my type of work.

Pros

I have to share the preview picture with the client on a project basis before final production. I am very happy with 20gb space that came with registration and same for bandwidth. Now some of my problems are solved. For social media upload, I can just resize uploaded image on the go using URL, which is a very nice feature. The online optimization of images for web use saves lots of my bandwidth. It is very easy to control and add effects just a few clicks. As it, workes from the browser and I don't have to install anything on my computer, less headed for data loss.

Cons

But I don't like taking all the memory by this software, that's all the problem I can find for this software.

### "Great features but the admin console gets stuck often"

August 28, 2019

4.0

Nice solution for transformation but I suggest you to host your files with other service.

Pros

The transformation options for images, I managed to reduce bandwidth in 50% which is very drastic.

Cons

The admin console isn't very friendly, and I will give a few examples: 1) Breadcrumbs in media library - I don't understand why not showing the full breadcrumbs, there is a space for it, so if I need library no.2 I have to click on the parent library and then look for it there. 2) The drag and drop/upload tool isn't good, I tried to upload a few files and it got stuck, they have a lot to catch up with google drive UX/UI. 3) It isn't possible to select all folders like assets from some reason.

### "Image Manager for Websites"

January 9, 2019

5.0

Pros

Being able to serve my images off server and through a CDN. Makes it easy to group my images into custom folders for easy locating and gives an easy way to get the link to serve the image on your website.

Cons

The help documentation is a little hard to understand and for first-time users it doesn't give a good tutorial on the advanced features, they become more learn over time features on our own.

### "Best image tool I've used for web development"

February 22, 2021

5.0

I LOVE using Cloudinary!

Pros

I love the image API and image manipulation tools. Allows me, a non-designer web developer, the ability to correct problems on images or crop, create headshots from, ect. I love that there is an API for me to programatically upload, manipulate, and serve images/videos.

Cons

I wish there was like 1 less click step, honestly, no complaints here.

### "Very good but can be expensive."

January 16, 2020

5.0

Very simple to resize and manipulate images but it really is just too costly in the long run for us

Pros

This is a great piece of kit if you're looking to outsource image manipulation completely and really does do everything you'd probably ever need.

Cons

It can very expensive if you have a lot of image manipulation to do. Especially when you can do everything they offer without outsourcing for free.

### "Feature rich photo and video storage!"

May 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

I really love the variety of features. There are many different API implementations and different rules, such as cropping, storage location, etc. that can be applied to incoming files.

Cons

The interface was a bit confusing at first, but after reading through a little documentation I was able to figure it out and within a couple of hours I had a fully functioning API setup allowing users of my website to easily add and update photos.
