Used the software for: ### "Always getting better" September 24, 2014 4.0 The best part about EZRentOut is that it's always getting better. Over last 1 month of my use, there have been numerous useful features that they introduced. One of them on my request. I'll always go for products where customers are listened to with great intent. I love the Orders module. Updating and creating orders is really quick and smooth. Done a great job here! Best part is the warning flag with items that are overdue/booked when adding to an order. So before I proceed with booking or rent out, I know I've got the order right. The other great thing is the optimization on how items are picked. You can have them added such that you pick the nearest available item. I've been using their mobile app on my android. It's neat and simple. But here is real bummer. There is no online rental store that I can set up. They've some customer portal that can do this job but it desperately needs improvement. Their blog says that they are releasing an 'Online Rental Store' in October. Review Source EB Eric B. It helps you streamline processes and automates your operations to a great extent, and does so on a reasonable price. Cons The calendar is a limit, and you cannot filter orders by return dates other than by reports customer support. There is definitely a learning curve to navigate the features, and in the future we’ll be using a scanner to implement barcodes or QR codes Pros Inventory management, serial number tracking, swapping tools to different rental locations Cons The app needs to work, the app sucks. I like that customers can log on and see rental agreements, etc. Cons Some customization features don't seem to work well with our version, or they're simply unavailable. Input of items also required many clicks, though perhaps there's a (non-intuitive) way to accomplish this. Pros Walked right out of a program that was built in 1982. It had been put in a new dress a few times, but was still that same old kunky program through and through. It is good to be here on the verge of 2019 with the EZ Rent Out software that represents the day and age we live in. Cons Still getting familiar with the ins and out, but I have to say I am impressed with it enough to think that if something isnt making sense it is more my inexperience than the software. Allows my costomers to prepay online, sign the rental docs etc all prior to coming in to pick up the equipment. It allows us to minimize the staff attending to customers at point of sale/pickup, and streamlines the whole "rental agreement paperwork" process. It's also a great inventory management tool for us. It's also good to keep track of equipment movement. Cons Cumbersome to navigate through asset and asset stocks. A set of navigation button would be great for you to jump to the next item instead of going back to the list. Or, a short cut list of items in the left hand side for fast navigation would be great! It looks like that product was thought exactly for camera equipment rental (which is what we do). It's online so no clients to install. The website is very fast and responsive (almost as fast as the support ;) ) Cons It can be a bit complicated to navigate through all the settings, add ons and options that there is on the website.
