it's incredible. I just wish a few things would get developed faster.

Pros

the ability to track measurements and workouts. Open source filtering of reports. ability to email groups from the app.

Cons

Impossible to get Zen Planner to change to things that should be easy, and that Mindbody Online does way better, like segmenting locations into different accounts, ability to edit payroll after the period is closed, ability to hide team payroll from all employees (seriously?!), ability to create a widget for a different locations, ability to allow clients to enroll in events without having to scroll down to the bottom of a membership purchase screen. When Zen Planner makes platform changes, they can cause a lot of work on the user end while they work out the bugs.

Horrible. Stay away.

Pros

Great advertisements. The ZP people really think a lot of themselves.

Cons

The employees sell the product well and seems to be behind it but lets be real. If you have to sit through several sessions of live online training to learn the system, it is not user friendly. Part of the problem is that it tries to do everything, rather than trying to do a few things well. Email function does not work. After sending several email out to my clientele, I discovered today that all they were getting was the title and no body. What an embarrassment. Today, I spent 4 hours trying to send one email. Eventually had to export each address manually to my google account to get the email out. Took me 20 minutes. I was using google mail before ZP and it looks like I will be going back.

Ease of use and helpful/personable customer support! The tracking of students and financials has exponentially boosted our gyms ROI

Cons

I would like the reporting aspect to be more dynamic as I'm used to Crystal queries/writing. I continually find the Customer Support from ZP makes up for this. The always have an answer for any reporting hurdles I run into.

Some things I needed to do I thought were impossible because it's not easy to find in the menus, but the chat person was extremely helpful.

Pros

Awesome customer service to help with any and all problems, and troubleshooting. Easy to view past due or failed membership payments.

Cons

Can be difficult to navigate. I wish it were more intuitive and user friendly. I find I use the customer service hotline and google many of my questions on how to navigate Zenplanner.

Pros

Customer service was readily accessible by email or phone. Technically speaking, Zen Planner has a lot of features. That's should be a good thing, however....(see cons)

Cons

While Zen Planner had a lot of features, it was terribly difficult to use them. The software was not intuitive, and in many instances required 3 or 4 steps to complete a task when only 1 or 2 should have been needed. It also wasn't attractive in appearance on the business side or customer side. The app was terrible and lacked most of the desktop functionality. Having come from Pike 13, who's app could do it all, it was a big let down to have to go to desktop to complete most of my tasks.

The user interface is so simple and easy to use. It also has mailchimp integration which is great! Also emailing clients is a breeze.

Cons

I wish there was a way to drag and drop on the calendar. Also, when navigating the calendar it can send you do different dates. Hopefully just a bug.

This app has helped us in so many ways specifically with making it incredibly easy for our members to pre-register for classes, which holds them accountable to showing up. It also allows our community to be even stronger and more recognizable by allowing other members to see who else will be training with them and knowing who will be coaching beforehand. The ZP team has been phenomenal and will help you each step of the way to make your customers experience exceptional. If you haven't tried this app out yet, I'd highly recommend giving it a try!

Pros

I will say that it has potential to grow -- but with competitor softwares out there, zen planner needs to get into integrating with other apps and softwares. that is the one thing that I will say has really held me back from recommending zen planner.

Cons

clunky, hard for new users, a little difficult for staff.

Zen Planner has already made our lives much easier. We can keep communicate with our members easier, better records, bill easier and take advantage of reports when it comes to sales and retention.

Pros

The software is very customizable and the support is second to none!

Cons

The apps on mobile devices can be a bit glitchy at times but this is basically a none issue.

Reason for choosing Zen Planner

More customizable software and better customer service.

I'm not the most organized person and doing all admin, billing as well a coaching my clients, Zen Planner helps to keep the back end of my business organized and running smoothly. The automations are great if they're set up correctly. Their customer support is amazing!! Not much waiting time and my issues are always resolved. When I started, they're pricing was pretty competitive. Although, they've gotten much pricier over the past year.

Pros

Having automated billing, emails and scheduling. Being able to pull billing reports at a moment's notice to see where my finances are is a plus.

Cons

Having so many options for reports and automations. It can be very confusing at times and sometimes having two steps to accomplish a task isn't clear.

Pros

I've tried other membership software for martial arts schools and they just can't compete with Zenplanner. The ease of use is equally matched by the amount of detail you can go into with reporting.

Cons

I like everything so far. The on boarding process was incredibly smooth. Everyone has been very nice and thorough.

Overall, I enjoyed using Zen Planner because it was easy to see which classes I could sign up for.

Pros

I use this software for one of my work out classes. It's easy to navigate when booking a workout class that is free for me to go to.

Cons

While it is easy to navigate, sometimes I would like to see classes available for the week instead of day by day.

Always willing and able to resolve anything. Whatever it is they help walk me through it and are always kind and helpful.

Cons

It still confuses me but it's not the software it's the user. If I used it more often I would feel more comfortable with it.

Pros

Love how it helps make my job and tracking athletes along with our inventory so much easier. I'm able to see who of my athletes have been gone for too long. I'm also able to see who had an error with payments so we can solve them right away.

Cons

I wish it would send us a notification that we're low on a product so we can order more before they run out.

Easy to schedule myself into sessions, easy to pay for packages, love the ability to add a scheduled session to my google calendar seamlessly

Cons

Can be clunky to get from the package purchasing screen back to the appointments list to book an appointment.
