### "Be Prepared for a Nightmare if Zen Planner Doesn't Work for You"

We were trying to handle scheduling our tennis court usage & managed billing. Both ended up being complete flops for our business - something I bet our on-boarding agent would have realized while meeting with me numerous times, but never said anything.

Pros

The support & training I received at the beginning of the project was really great.

Cons

We are a busy, small company & struggled making the time to figure out how to make Zen Planner work for our business. As soon as we discovered it wouldn't work, we requested to have our account paused while we determined what to do - not that big of a request since we really weren't even using the system yet. They make you sign all these terms & conditions basically saying they can still charge you if they want during a pause that has to be approved anyway. So we decided rather than go through the hassle & potentially be charged further we would just cancel - their loss. Now they are saying we have to give 30 days notice so they are going to charge us another month for a system we never even started using. The customer service here is completely focused on getting you locked in & after that expect to be taken advantage of. Disappointing that a company supposedly designed to help small business just takes their hard earned money instead.

The best part of Zen Planner is the amazing customer service. Every time I call they are super friendly, very knowledgeable about the product, and just awesome to work with. I've called them probably 20 times and never had a bad experience or talked to anyone that wasn't super positive and friendly.

Pros

I love how you can use minimal features of Zen Planner and keep it very easy to use will still doing everything necessary to run your business. At the same time, you can expand on the features as you get more comfortable and experienced with it.

Cons

I have nothing bad to say about the software.

Cons

didnt merge with a lot of other softwares and the price is quite expensive. i worked in a privately owned gym so it wasn't worth the cost after a while

Pros

This product was able to replace a lot of our ad hoc "systems" with one comprehensive platform. Through this, we have saved a lot of time and our members are able to simply and consistently sign up for classes without problems. Love this product.

Cons

I honestly have not faced any issues with this product that their customer service departments have not been able to address within a few phone calls. Probably one of the best customer service departments I have worked with in recent memory.

Overall, Zen Planner is a really good product that I will keep using moving forward.

Pros

This is a very capable piece of planning software. Part of my business involves scheduling clients for multiple classes through the day. Zen Planner allows myself and my staff to keep track of class dates, times, client attendance, etc. It also allows for communication of cancelled or modified classes instantly.

Cons

Somewhat limited in the ability to brand with your company's logo or color scheme.

We've used them for years and has seen the functionality of the software expand based on the market demand. Easy to use. Cost effective and top notch customer service.

Pros

Easy to use but has a ton of functionality.

Cons

When there is something in trying to figure out how to do sometimes I find that the online support is outdated. When that happens I just write them a note and I get a response within a hour though.

When we started to expand our Taekwon-Do school I had to divide and conquer with my current 2 black belts. They would teach nights I had to be at another location. After reviewing many different membership tracking softwares and website I was torn between MindBody and Zen Planner. I found MindBody lacking in some areas and liked the look of Zen Planner (plus it was compatible with iOS and Android, since we 3 black belts had both. Once I made my 1st initial payment and took the 1st 2-3 set-up classes it took over a month for customer service to help me upload my students into the database. At first I tried myself but was just taking way too long. When I asked customer service they told me to send it in a specific format (which I did convert from Excel). When I did send the file, I didn't hear anything for days. Emailed back after 2-3 days and customer service told me it was the wrong format. So I reformatted and sent again. After that fiasco I didn't feel like paying $70 a month for subpar customer service and cancelled my subscription.

Pros

Lots of options to make online accounting, marketing and attendance easier.

Cons

Maybe too much to choose from. Interface is very confusing at times. Customer service is the worst for the amount you pay per month.

Pros

For business and client management, nothing is better! Zen Planner's customer service is second to none. Hands down the best in the business!

Cons

I would love to see improvements in the workout tracking. I need to be able to differentiate different levels of performance, i,e; RX, Scaled 1, Scaled 2, Scaled 3, etc..

My previous CMS software got to be too expensice. ZenPlanner has slightly better pricing and overall, I think it is more user friendly than my last product. Customer support is excellent.

Pros

Customer support. THere's a lot to learn w/this software. Every time I call, I'm greeted with a friendly voice who patiently walks me through whatever I'm trying to accomplish

Cons

There's a lot to learn, and it isn't a perfect fit for how I run my business --- but it does what I need it to do!

This is a great attendance and bill tracker. My members find it easy to schedule classes. Customer Service is satisfactory. There is one Zen Planner rep. She has answered my call a few times. She is extremely, patient, kind, and caring. She's a great teacher. She walks you through the solution and makes sure you know how to troubleshoot. Her exceptional approach to customer service makes Zen Planner worth every dime.

Pros

The ease of building reports. The ease of scheduling a class on the member side.

Cons

Minor glitches. One example. My members should receive one alert when their payment is declined. However, some receive an alert everyday until they pay. That is annoying for the members and makes us look like we're harassing them.

Pros

Customer service is always top notch. If representative can't answer your question, they'll research and provide a solution usually by the end of the day.

Cons

When communicating with prospects, it's very helpful to create email automations. The thing I like least about the app as is its current inability to allow files to be attached to emails.

It has a clean and simple user interface. Creating and managing clients is very easy. The automation is nice.

Cons

I wish there was a way to drag and drop on calendar. Sometimes the calendar acts funky while clicking, ie, it will change the dates on you. The automation editor needs some simplication.

NOTHING GOOD TO SAY BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS TO CONSIDER. THE SOFTWARE IS TERRIBLE WITH REPORTING AND MOST OF ALL BILLING.

Cons

\-THEY WILL REPEATEDLY DOUBLE CHARGE YOUR CLIENT AND WILL BLAME ON THEIR SERVER ISSUE AND IF AN ACCOUNT IS DECLINED, THEY HAVE NO WAY TO RE-CHARGE THEM AUTOMATICALLY AND YOU WILL HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE TO KEEP TRACK OF YOUR DELINQUENTS. -VERY POOR REPORTING - THEY WILL INCREASE THEIR FEES ON YOUR BUSINESS.

I like that I am able to see all the classes available up to a week in advance. I also like that I am able to see who is signed up in the classes that are available.

Cons

There should be text notifications for when you go from wait listed to reserved. Sometimes I do not always check my email and texting is more efficient to receive updates.

We cancelled after a month of attempting to get ZenPlanner to work with our credit card arrangements. They refused. After cancelling, they billed for a second month. When we requested a refund, they insisted we sign a non-disparagement agreement to muzzle us from commenting on their poor customer service and expensive product. As you can see, I refused to sign that kind of BS. ZenPlanner is inflexible, and does not provide reasonable customer service.

Pros

ZenPlanner has many features to manage a fitness club, including scheduling classes and appointments and membership CRM.

Cons

ZenPlanner forces customers to use a high-cost credit card processing company, which kicks back some of the processing fees to ZenPlanner. This cost was substantial. ZenPlanner fees for the software also very expensive compared to many competitors. Finally, ZenPlanner is customer insensitive and its help desk does not want to resolve customer issues.

Reason for choosing Zen Planner

It was recommended by another gym. After using it, and hating the customer approach that ZenPlanner used on me, I am trying to set the record straight - ZenPlanner is expensive and is not customer friendly.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the price to use Zen Planner, nor the overbearing sales reps that constantly email or contact you once you show the slightest interest in the software.

All the things I need to run my business in one system.

Pros

I like that I have a lot of control. Everything is pretty simple to use. If you've ever used a website, you can use this system. They are also very helpful and friendly when asking for support.

Cons

I strongly dislike the user end website. It is usable, but most people just download the app to use instead of the website. Sadly, that's not an option until a staff member signs the user up or the user signs up on the website.

Zen Planner has been a helpful tool for my gym to book personal training clients and group fitness class using an online system and multiple trainers.

Pros

Functionality, generally easy to use, and ability to schedule and book clients.

Cons

The back-end (signing in as a trainer) was a bit confusing and could be more user-friendly. Some clients experienced issues trying to book the right time.

This software includes great features that all inclusive in the cost.

ZenPlanner gives me everything I need to run my fitness business. ZP gives me multiple functions and wide range of customizable options for calendar, membership, private training, events, seminars, payroll, workout tracking and more. One of my favorite utilities that I use everyday is their increadible data tracking and reporting. I am able to see what is going on in my business in every area. The system integrates very well into my website. My members express their satisfaction with the ease of use on the member side.

Pros

Easy to use, customizable, multiple functions, member app, the list goes on.

Cons

Private training payroll not the easiest tool. Does not have easy to track marketing tool for us to tack online marketing to actual conversations.
