Glue Up helps us streamline and centralise many aspects of our work as an association secretariat. It connects CRM, events, communications, membership management, and payments all in one platform, which saves us time and gives us a full overview of our members’ engagement in just a few clicks. Instead of switching between tools, we can see everything in one place: who our members are, what events they've joined, which invoices are pending, and how active they are in the community. This level of integration has made our admin work more efficient and has allowed us to offer a more personalised and professional experience to our members.

Pros

The CRM system is a standout feature. It's incredibly well-integrated, allowing us to easily access all relevant information about our members in one place—from contact details and event attendance to payment history and engagement level. This makes it so much easier to stay on top of our relationships and respond to members’ needs quickly. The platform also makes communication simple and efficient. We can send out targeted emails, notifications, and campaigns to the exact audience we want to reach, all from within the system. That level of control and flexibility is incredibly helpful. The events module is another highlight. Setting up registration pages, ticketing, and managing attendees is intuitive and smooth. It saves us a lot of time and adds a very professional touch to our events. Overall, the platform brings everything together in one place, making it much easier to manage a community effectively.

Cons

The Knowledge Library is very useful and allows us to share important content, but visually, it could be more engaging or dynamic. The current design is fully functional, but a refresh could make it even more appealing for users exploring resources.

Overall, my experience has been somewhere in the middle. Customer service has drastically improved (including response time and helping us solve issues) from the time we started using it in early 2023, and we've had great customer success managers. However, there are some things to be desired, but it looks like a few of those, including API use and calendar integration have been or will be implemented in 2025.

Pros

For the most part, uploading data is easy, log in is easy, and event creation is easy.

Cons

Sometimes, e-mail addresses for contacts will randomly get put on a suppression list and you don't always know it, so password resets don't always get sent. Customers have overall problems using the app. They don't always find it intuitive. For instance, checking in to events on the app could be better. Possibly the biggest thing is 'registering' their accounts so the system recognizes them at log in. Another major issue is how chapter memberships flow down from the umbrella instance and aren't viewable in other chapters, although I understand why this is the case.

So far the overall experience has been positive. We have been engaging with the training modules and meetings and they have been very helpful. We have also engaged with GlueUp via other organisations and have had a positive experience.

Pros

GlueUp is intuative and systematic in it's coinstruction. Support us great and resources that are provided are clear and allow access as needed. We are looking forward to using the tools associated with newsletters and other communication tools.

Cons

We are an NPO and there is currently no donation option so we are using the event management to "sell" tickets as a way to donate. We are eager to see how GlueUp develops this option going forward.

Glue Up is a great option for any size entity. Representatives were very informative of program features. There were plenty of training resources available. Our account Manager checked in with us throughout the year to see if we had any problems or to just update us on program changes. Price was very reasonable. We were up and running quickly.

Pros

Ease of maintaining memberships with one app. Members are invoiced automatically by the software through email instead of our old way of using a database to create/print invoices and mailing them. Sending a mass communication to members is very simple as well. Great option for our small, county owned golf course club.

Cons

I wish it could generate a report of account balances for each member to keep a record of all past due amounts. We have only used Glue Up for about 6 months, so maybe I just haven't discovered the right option yet. I can view individual membership accounts and outstanding invoices. I would just like to print a report of all member balances as of a specific date for Board review.

I originally just wanted a foolproof membership program to invoice members and process payments easier. He showed me several features that would possibly be useful for the club as we progressed.

She also would confuse payments because there wasn't enough detail on the invoices. It can be very technical, and it has limited templates for Campaigns. We would also appreciate the ability to load our own templates.

The backend is easy to figure out, but you have to be willing to spend time troubleshooting workarounds to make it work with the front-end. Also the home page and certain other pages are locked and require you to request help from their in-house developer regularly. Which means they either need to hire more developers to assign each account, or they need to make it easier to update content directly without requiring their developer every time. Doesn't need to be completely like a shopify experience where you can drag & drop (although that would be nice), but you guys do need to loosen the reins a bit.

Pros

Ease of use in terms of backend searches, reporting and updating front-facing site content. Emphasis on backend -- the workflow to onboard and manage users undermines all that's good, and creates more work.

Cons

The most important thing of all -- a streamlined MEMBER experience. Where to start: 1. Registering and completing your profile page does NOT auto-populate into the actual database where it counts. It's just profile info for your profile that's akin to a company only social media page. For all its AI features, it should absolutely be intuitive enough to populate as a member profile in the actual database. Herein starts all the company access and manual login issues that will require you to create a position just to handle -- which again, could be streamlined with one single autofill and then that hire could instead be used to grow your membership using the tools this site offers more effectively. But priority above all else -- it creates more steps for the members and when your members pay a significant amount to be able to access their account and exclusive content, it should damn well be a seamless process. Super basic. If I go into every other detail that trickles down from this one detail, I'd be here all day. But make sure to at least ask these questions at consult/onboarding stage.

Their backend and front-end was a mess and we were paying double per year. At least your website/design/page formatting is straight forward and visually far better. But the clincher for the move was onboarding members and making firewalled content easier to manage. You are better at the firewalled content management part, but we clearly did not solve our member management issue, might have even exhausted the issue further.

Although using Glue Up is new with my organization, it's been fairly easy to learn and the support through the setup process has been EXCELLENT! I can't wait to see what we can do together!

The interface is user friendly and will increase member engagement. I love how we can customize our events with their own mini-web page that allows attendees to comment and really get one another excited about what's to come.

It doesn't have an available storefront, which I misunderstood, but hopefully it's a capability that can be integrated at some point.

The system is user friendly, has all features we needed, is continuously being improved and developed and new features are added. Their customer support is excellent.

Pros

Easy to use, variety of features, excellent support. Great membership management system, easy to set up and manage, same goes for event planning and email campaigns. Originally we had Glue up only for membership and used other provider for sending out our newsletters but eventually switched to Glue up and enjoy having everything connected and in one place.

Cons

There is nothing specifically that we disliked. The only feature we would welcome is to be able to reset users passwords for them when they ask us.

GlueUP provided us with an amazing customer experience. When we were in the process of choosing a CRM the team was extremely friendly, helpful and available to provide answers to any questions. They also were transparent with the pricing, packaging and making honest recommendations for what suited our organizational needs as a small startup. This was meaningful because we were just learning about CRMs and they offered their expertise and were trustworthy throughout the process. The CRM platform we got the event and membership package. We participated in the customer success orientations that were client focused. They were accessible until we were able to use the platform independently. Our community had a significant growth in the last few years and we decided to implement a membership management platform. This is how we found Glue Up. We use Glue Up for managing our members data base, for events management and for communications. We also tried the community page, which is very similar with a facebook group page. This did not work for us in the end, because our members were already used with another way of keeping in touch, so we dropped the community page. Since it's a complex platform, we are still learning and observing what works for us and what doesn't while using it. It was difficult to identify all details from the onboarding period since it was our first experience with a membership management tool.

Pros

The events management is my preferred module. We even use it for hybrid events combining online and on site events, and it was appreciated by colleagues from other chapters. You have everything you need in one place (set-up, public page, analytics, comms, attendance, survey, badges, certificates). Also works well as data base for members and contacts, connected with all other modules. Our dedicated contact person is very responsive and supports with any questions or case study we have. Very good analytics for all modules. You can see what reach you have with newsletters, membership data, financial data, events data.

Cons

The community page did not work for us because we already had another solution that was well appreciated. Also, we cannot use the payments module at full capacity due to local methodologies for payments and accounting.

Overall it's been troublesome. Our sales cycle was hurried through, and the company pushed a sale through before the product could have been properly assessed by our new digital team. Unfortunately, we've been unable to cancel our contract - which is somewhat understandable. However, we've found the company to be extremely dismissive and condescending when faced with legitimate product concerns. This is not a product for any organisation that is looking for VFM.

Pros

Given that none of the core features service our organisation's needs, we cannot speak to this.

Cons

From the implementation widget to the lack of membership-gating for content, there is a lot to not like about this product. The low send volumes for email newsletters, coupled with the high cost and poor email builder (white-labeled SendGrid) are extremely annoying. The email costs alone make this more expensive than either MailChimp or Squarespace's native mailer feature. If you have the budget, you should stretch to Hubspot, which integrates seamlessly with Eventbrite. We are limited by the number of custom fields we can add to entries/applications. The end user experience is cumbersome and somewhat meaningless. It's essentially just a payment portal with an events widget and a mailer - neither of which work particularly well, or are any better than the free options.

Dear Ashwin, We are sorry you feel that our products are not a good fit for your organization. The sales cycle was initiated on January 11th and resulted in the signed contract on February 26th. During that time, we ensured a demo was provided, examples were shown, took the time to clearly and accurately answer the numerous questions that were presented, and waited for board approval as well prior to the signing of the contract. It was not until after the contract was signed and during the kick-off call where other stakeholders were involved who identified needed customizations, however, realized that your budget and resource limitations could not support your needs. To attempt to address the concerns that were presented, we offered solutions at no additional cost to your organization, however, you did not have the tech resources to support them.

Pros

As an active Chamber of Commerce, we were looking for something that would enable us (and improve) to manage our events, members, email campaigns, CRM, collect payments and be user-friendly at the same time. We wanted to replace several out-dated technologies and instead use one software for our internal operations. It also happened that at the same time we were looking for a new website solution and EventBank was in the process of launching a new solution for Chambers of Commerce. This resulted in a new (mobile compatible) website that was delivered within 4 days against a competitive price and at the same time easy to use and manage. The support we received all our three chapters across China was very well starting with personal kick-off calls, following online webinars and a good FAQ section. Once you have a look at the platform everything becomes easy. Best part for me as Deputy General Manager is easy set-up of roles & permissions to manage and restrict access to certain pages for temporary staff and some of our interns. Also, our members can now update their information and manage their own profiles. Creating Events has never been easier with Members now being able to sign up online and pay for the event using their preferred method. Personally, I am also a fan of the EventBank Manager mobile app. Easy to monitor sign ups for events, membership renewals, email campaigns and check in attendees on spot.

Cons

EventBank's all-in-one platform has few shortcomings that I can think about and it has meet our expectations. We are looking forward to the new products features that are being released in the (near) future.
