MRPeasy continues to provide the highest bang per buck for small manufacturers. The system has evolved to provide a comprehensive and integrated solution that covers purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, sales, and accounting. Helped to prepare material requirements for our monthly production requirements. Pros Improved our ability to Order and track required materials for different production facilities in different locations. Improved our materials forecasting requirements for different factories based on current orders. And allowed us to do more with fewer people. Cons limiting the number of BOM's and Routing allowable on the system at any one time. The initial quantity is very high and took almost 2 year to reach the Cap but once it was reached is caused a lot of issues and we had to start doing regular maintenance on the old out dated BOM's to get the numbers down. It appears that MRPeasy may not be fully optimized for your current workflow. In MRPeasy, parts are deducted from inventory when they are actually consumed by workshop workers. This can be done either per each part separately or all at once. When workers use the simplified Internet-kiosk interface, parts are automatically deducted after they complete the first manufacturing operation of a manufacturing order. If, for any reason, workers do not report their progress, you can use the 'Finish as planned' button. This will automatically consume all required parts. However, for the most accurate and detailed overview of production, we strongly recommend asking workers to report progress in real time. Not sure how it will scale once my operations expand esp bar coding warehouse etc. Pros Really customized. I can pretty much change a lot of things on the fly without hiring a professional coder. Cons Reporting can get better. This software has tons of potential but not sure why they don't introduce more tools such as tracking unfulfilled orders & partial orders, daily dashboard to see what is due and what is behind \[need to introduce on dashboard tasks eg: if an order is delivered then immediately it should alert that invoicing is not done. This would rival bigger players in the market only if they keep developing!!! It integrates well with Quickbooks and it has all of the features needed by a food/supplement manufacturing company. Pros The ease of use and short learning curve, it is intuitive to use, easy to add users and get them up to speed on using the system. Inventory and usage are accurate and easy to use. Cons The inability to substitute materials in a subcontractor BOM/order, makes it more complicated than it needs to be. Need to add a feature like other MRP's to be able to swap materials within an order instead of having to change the BOM short term or writing off the consumed materials. Previously, I was maintaining several complicated excel files to manage our production. Switching to MRPeasy eliminated all of those and greatly simplified our processes. Currently, I have a virtual assistant that takes care of all aspects of our order fulfillment using MRPeasy. It's very hands-off for me now. We now have ultimate stock control and manufacturing accuracy which was loose before we started with the program. As the site manager I can track costs and inventory saving me huge amounts of time and improving our profit margins by monitoring expences and overheads. Pros The ability to work with multiple processes in different stages and related multiple items. MRPeasy is user friendly and came out top when we tested compared to other software programs for ease of use. Cons We process products which go through multiple stages of production. Although MRPeasy can do this well, we have to copy the data regularly which can be a little labourious. Packaging is a great function but it is not perfect yet for the way we package and supply finished goods. Use of the application on mobile devices makes the inventory management more efficient. Pros Easy of use and configuration for small manufacturing operations. Easy configuration of user defined fields which are persistent across several functions. Import, export functionality streamlines integration with customer's operation. Cons Quality inspection functionality was too simplistic for our operation. To our satisfaction the suggested functionality change was considered as an improvement and implemented in a relatively short time period. Pricelist functionality turned on for a customer request, which was not implemented at the end. Although deleted all related master data, we could not turn off the functionality. This area might need more improvement if required by several customers. Would be better if made available in modules as many of the features are not applicable to our operation, e.g accounting. Pros The stock control system is efective and easy to use. Training manuals are excellent. Would be more useful if the BOM was not necessary as we add stock out as the build progresses. Cons A limited number of stock items in the basic version meaning we had to upgrade. Many of the features are not applicable to our operation but we find ways around that. Pros It has really helped with our scheduling and inventory. We use it to manage product and people from the purchasing of raw material to shipping finished goods. For the money it is the best program we've found. Cons It is really hard to get a detailed report on a manufacturing order. I like to see how our projected time matches up with actual on each process but I haven't found a way to do that. We have to create our own reports which means a lot of double entry. January 29, 2025 5.0 Im very happy with MRP, I would just like if the price was a little bit lower in my opinion. But overall it is worth it in the long term. Since this software will help me alot. Pros I really like that the software is very complex and have alot of functions. Functions I didn't think I needed but really want to use now. It is very quick to use and find items etc. I love that I can have control of basically everything. Cons The problem I have is that it takes a while for me to set my inventory up with MRP, but thats most likely because I have not had a great stock control earlier and I have choosen to convert alot of products to BOM in order to have full control of the products cost, time to make and stock for each part.
