This has somewhat become a criteria when I evaluate other daycare or presale. I love the fact that I feel that I am up to date with my child's daily activity. Pros I love this app! I feel very lucky that our daycare chooses to use this. I get update on activities (video and photos) as well general status (eg. meal, diaper change) and other chat functions. It gives me such a peace of mind knowing exactly what my kid is up too...it is always the highlight of my day to receive pictures/videos. Cons The lack of ability to bulk save all photos and video. I setup a reminder to go in the app and save them once a month. This is quite a boring and time consuming task. Review Source WH Walaa H. If the Daycare is closed they will tell you on the app. I think this is a great app that will be around for a long time. Cons The last thing that I liked was when it freezes up and you have to restart your phone. I think this app works great best on an I phone androids make it go slow and freeze up. Love the updates to see what my daughter is doing throughout the day and Cons Personally don’t have any issues with the app itself but teachers do need to be careful when they are inputting the information to provide it to the correct child and being accurate and consistent. As a parent, its nice to know that its already written down and available to you at any time vs having to remember information when you get home from daycare like "did she poop today?", "when was her last bottle/diaper change/nap?" Pros HiMama allows you to see what and when your child has been up to all day - diapers, meals, and naps are so important to helping keep an infant on schedule and HiMama does a great job. Plus we get to see pictures posted of our little one throughout the day! I appreciate having the reports at the end of each day that tell me if we're low on supplies and just generally how her day was. Cons I don't see her activities (tummy time, play time) and I'm not sure that's an option as part of this app (I also don't know if its already available). It would also be nice to know her mood throughout the day (happy, crying, just fine) so I know how my kid is going to be when I'm going to get her...or if I should try and get her a little early if she's had a tough day. My parents and staff love this program! Pros I love how easy HiMama is to use, and that it was very simple to teach my educators to use as well. It has a great parent app, and our parents love to be able to check out their children's reports each day. It has really increased our level of communication and customer service. Cons It seems that parents are not able to download picture directly off that app as we seem to have some parents that email asking for us to send them the pictures directly. I haven't looked in to this yet, but it a common request I get. Alternatives considered [Storypark](https://www.capterra.com/p/152602/Storypark/) Reason for choosing Lillio StoryPark had way less options. We love that hi mama has all of the daily information in it such as feeding, and diapering. You will surely remember maintaining a daily school diary which include homework assignments. Class test marks. Additionally you had to get them signed from parents. This is the all in one digital childcare app which can be used by schools, crunches and day care institutes. You can easily make profiles of children. Our school has been able to keep us informed with our children's day with ease, and I look forward to getting photos and videos through the app. I wish all school were able to have something like this!! Pros I love being able to see pictures and videos of my children while they're at school. It gives me insight into their activities! The daily report is a great feature at the end of the day that summarizes everything that was logged throughout the day. It makes it easy to know how snack and nap time went that day. December 9, 2023 5.0 I think if you're looking for a quick and easy way to share the kids' activities, from the most fun moments to the most successful, do what I do, use LILLIO! Pros Lillio is a great piece of software for those of us in charge of toddlers. It helps me enormously in managing my staff's schedules, planning the children's progress and organizing meetings with parents via SMS notifications. It allows me to keep them informed of the progress of activities with their children. Without doubt one of the best in its field, in my humble opinion. Cons Applying re-occurring push notifications about Supplies that need to be brought. Sometimes we forget about the supplies that are requested for our child because they happen early in the day. Even though I have to use it, I don’t like it. It’s very inflexible and like I said before, you can’t edit attendance records which is ridiculous. That just makes no sense. I find it stressful. It is not an easy app to use. It’s not streamlined for a busy teacher you can’t edit and it’s not a flexible app. Pros I have to take attendance three separate times - twice on paper and one via the app which is all digital. The hi mama app is good for accountability purposes because everybody (admin) can see whose in school via the app so that they can make decisions, etc. It is good for the parents because you can give updates to the parents via email. Cons My issue with the software is that sometimes we don’t have Wi-Fi so how can I go back in and edit the attendance records? And there’s no justification as to why I can’t - it makes no sense to me because I’m not trying to edit the attendance record so that I can get paid more money or anything, it is because we’re an SED program and we already take attendance on paper 2 times, so I’m going to go off of that now my administration thinks I’m not taking attendance on those days at all or they don’t remember that we didn’t have Wi-Fi that day - but that feature is not made available and I think that ruins the whole purpose. Our parents love the pictures and information they receive. We love that we’re able to add the standards to our lessons so our families can see what we are working on with their children. The standards are already programmed into the software. Pros We love this program at our childcare center. They have more than stepped up to help us during COVID and families being home. They now provide daily lessons to send to our families, more data features to store temperatures, and they support team is beyond compare. Cons We really have no complaints with this program. Being able to comment on pictures if needed and keep track of their day. Cons It really depends on the admin/ECE updating those reports. If the person decides there will be minimal updates then that's what we are getting.
