It’s easy, straightforward, and quick. It has a simple, pleasing layout. Pros What I like the most about buddy punch is how easy it is to access. You can save your login and password and punch in and out in seconds. Cons I don’t like that it is not possible to delete punches. If I mistakenly mess up my punches to the point where the only way to fix it is to erase and restart, I can’t do that by myself. I like that you can see everything. I also like I have the app and can look at it any time. Pros I can see my time card and I can see the schedule for the week. Cons I don't like the way they record the minutes. I would prefer that it just show minutes as opposed to partial hours. The decimal format is used throughout our system. The number before the decimal represents hours worked; the number after the decimal is minutes. To get the minutes in actual minutes as opposed to decimals, you can take that number after the decimal and multiply it by 60. I enjoy that I can punch in and out from my phone once I walk into school. It makes it convenient when I'm in a rush. I also find that being able to request time off is extremely easy and I can edit and give notes to why I need off. I also can see how many hours I have left and my hours for the week. Regarding the decimal format, the three-decimal setup is used throughout the system, however, what many customers will do is export information via Excel, CSV, or Google Sheets, and then update the decimal points from there. Additionally, the number before the decimal represents hours worked; the number after the decimal is minutes. To get the minutes in actual minutes as opposed to decimals, you can take that number after the decimal and multiply it by 60. Finally, you could also run the Payroll Export, Time Card, or Employee Detail reports. These reports include time in both decimal and hours/minutes formats.
