The Interact tool has been pretty great for our employees from the beginning. While it's not necessarily the top tier in terms of functionality, it's exactly where it needs to be for the cost for smaller organizations. Our employees continue to use it more and more for people information, news, and tools and resources.

Pros

We really appreciate the customizability of everything. I feel like even if there isn't a widget built for what I need, I can often work my away around it by using HTML or other options.

Cons

Customer Service - while our CSM is actually phenomenal, the technological support when something needs to be fixed or updated sometimes takes months.

Their UI is little bit difficult to understand to use.

It's been an amazing experience. I love the polls, questionnaires, and ways to customize the colors to your company.

Pros

Interact was a great product when we started using it; however, with their newest UI release, it is even more amazing. You can even translate pages for team members who speak other languages than English! The new UI feels so fresh and clean, and extremely interactive.

Cons

The one gripe I have is that when you use the "carousel" to display images, the bottom text block can cut off some of the image. It also doesn't allow you to adjust profile pictures well. Some people upload a vertical picture, and when it shows in the profile bubble, it squeezes it all in. It should be similar to Facebook or LinkedIn, where it shows you the circle that will appear.

Pros

The software is very intuitive, which makes it easier for our intranet content to be managed by lots of different people. Interact are also always listening to feedback and improving the system.

Cons

Some things don't work as you would like them to, like creating tables, but there are easy work arounds.

My experience has evolved over the years. We implemented our intranet in 2016 and I did not have a good impression from that experience. I think a lot of it comes down to your customer success manager and the team that helps you through your implementation. In 2016 we felt like we were on our own a lot - we didn't get direct answers from our implementation team, we were sent to the community for nearly all of our questions. That's not helpful when you're looking for a quick and easy answer – you spend time trying to find what you need in the community and if you come up empty you have to submit a support ticket. Our customer success manager in 2022 is AMAZING. Shout out to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. She is helping us get through any obstacle that comes our way as we prepare for our move to Manchester. It's really incredible how good customer service goes a LONG way in determining your overall perception of the product.

Pros

There are many great out-of-the-box landing page widget options and a decent wysiwyg page editor that allows for customization. You can generally accomplish what you want to do – but there might be some random workarounds you need to do to get there. They have a great support team that can help you accomplish your goals if you can't figure it out on your own. Once you're familiar with the product you can do a lot, and with ease - but there is a steep learning curve to get to that point. It looks like Manchester provides some easier and cleaner options, which is also good. (We're currently migrating from Dallas to Manchester.)

Cons

Search functionality is the biggest complaint we receive from our users. You can do things to improve search, like add best bets and keywords, but our teammates expect a Google search and that is not achievable in our experience.

Incredibly good and a huge improvement over our previous Sharepoint offering.

Pros

The targeting of communications to those that need it is impressive. No more scatter gun approach. The constant updating of the product is impressive with new features and improvements regularly introduced.

Cons

Some issues with profile syncing at our end, but these are now being ironed out.

There are a lot of restrictions, a lot of glitches and it has been difficult to create what we envisioned

The interface looks professional and all our apps are easily accessed

Cons

The content development in the backend is complicated, illogical and difficult to use The calendar view is difficult to read and is visually unappealing Information can't be pulled through automatically from other apps (Workday profile info) Favourites don't show up in mobile Push notifications are only seen in the app so what is the point? Users in other areas see content that is restricted to them

This product allowed us to communicate effectively during the pandemic while our staff were home working.

Pros

This product is very easy to use and maintain. There are a lot of changes you can make your self without having to request and wait for impact. We were able to add quick links to applications required for our staff which makes this a one stop hub for all employees. It provides communication from all areas and all countries seamlessly. Product updates are highlighted and are always looking for ways to improve which includes listening to your suggestions.

Cons

More testing before product updates are implemented would be beneficial as sometimes small glitches can occur.

The team at Interact is responsive, communicative, and innovative - they are constantly looking for ways to provide support and often challenge us to approach our communication challenges in new ways. Interact has continued to be one of our most valued vendors because of their dedication to service. I cannot recommend Interact enough for your intranet needs.

Cons

I would like to see more automation options available when posting pages, archiving old content, and renewing content. But, as with any ideas I've had for Interact, the team is constantly looking for ways to improve the software so I'm confident this will come with time.
