The ability to individualize learning content based on role and career goals. Since PlayerLync is a mobile app, our associates always have it available. It allows for a more informal self-directed approach to learning, but still provides the reporting and tracking needed.

Pros

PlayerLync makes a true high impact learning environment possible. Videos, job aids and learning resources are available to associates as it fits into their busy day. Administration of Playerlync is simple, so pushing content to associates is easy and quick.

Cons

From a user's perspective it would be easier if the form manager integrated with the Playerlync side of the app. This would allow for single sign on and increase ease of use.

Customer service is lacking. It takes several weeks to get an answer to a troubleshoot question. Plus they are not very timely with updates to the system. I feel our system is outdated

Pros

The ability to have all digital materials and videos live in one place

Cons

Limited to the size of videos and powerpoint presentations for uploading. uploading a powerpoint presentation more than a certain size has to be broken down into parts. Not ideal for someone who is downloading a presentation to use for a class.

PlayerLync allows our Owners to have far more flexibility in their schedules. Putting the training onus on the platform and the Trainee frees Owners up to run their business more effectively. They can track training and progress from anywhere - even on their much deserved days off.

Pros

The software is easy to use for both the administrator and the user. It requires no wifi to access content including videos that have already downloaded.

Cons

We need one more level of folders to help organize content in tabs. It is a little difficult to find something while scrolling due to the amount of content we have.

The customer service is top notch!! Always a pleasure to work with them

Cons

There is currently no API integration between playerlync and our Operations / POS system . We use playerlync for guest facing forms and it would be great to get the guest info directly into our operations system.

It helps us to scale effectively. so it is a perfect platform for big chains.

Pros

Ease of use is certainly why we use PlayerLync on a daily basis. It is easy to adjust content on the backend side but also very easy for our teams in the restaurants to use the platform.

Cons

Missing some functionalities that would make PlayerLync even more helpful to us. Especially in the form section some if-functions would be very helpful. Also the connection between forms would improve the usability of data for use.

I like the mobile access to the product and the user interface for my learners . I like how the content presents and can be helpful for multiple support in operations.

Cons

Some of the rigidity of set up in modules. I would like to create notifications to Users when folks are in observation cues. I would like to create recertification presets- ex: once certified, in 6 months there were prompted to retake.

Annotation and customization of learning goals makes this a powerful training tool.

Pros

Annotation of videos allows for such comprehensive training. The fact that users can access training videos from a mobile device, and that videos can be annotated to draw a viewer's attention to a specific piece of information, or to emphasize a point demonstrated makes training so versatile and worthwhile.

Cons

Users have to make sure they are connected to WiFi to make sure the SleepMode Sync feature works properly. Only rarely did this happen, but there are instances of users missing important content because of connectivity issues.

Playerlync is able to be accessed with no WiFi connection and automatically refreshes uploaded content. The content page is customizable and adds a cool flare to the training. Playerlync forms are easy to use and help keep our daily operations efficient and modern. Great support overall from the entire Playerlync team.

Cons

The backend can be a bit tricky at first.

We are able to disseminate information with remote employees and train volunteers with the click of a button and at a fraction of the cost using Wisetail.

Pros

The customer service and ability to easily customize to our ever-changing needs. We have been able to use Wisetail as an intranet AND as a tool to engage and train volunteers at a fraction of the cost.

Cons

The current admin side is a little clunky, but at the most recent Apex conference, it was revealed that BIG changes are happening to make the backend much more sleek and user-friendly.

We have created a form that allows remote users to participate in creating sales orders in a uniformed manner. We have also used these forms to further develop a process to notify support personnel that new accounts have been created in our legacy systems.

Pros

The software is easy to use, and can be deployed on a number of mediums. We are able to customize forms that we use in our order fulfillment process. We also use the software to create test that enable us to measure knowledge and design content to increase employee development.

Cons

that is was slow to be made available to different electronic platforms, i.e. android v iOS; and on different operating systems.

I had been looking for an LMS for a few years before coming in contact with Wisetail. Their program is exactly what I was wishing would be available for businesses to create their own content but have a delivery system (Wisetail) to get the training delivered to the team. Shooting a quick video or creating a quick training segment wasn't the issue, the issue was how do we deliver the content, test on their knowledge of the training, and track who has completed the training. Wisetail has developed the solution that allows our business to create our own content, deliver, test and have record of all our training. My opinion of Wisetail....the greatest asset in any organization is the people. Listen and watch Wisetail's story. It's real and it speaks volumes about their culture and how they run their business. Visit them in Bozeman sometime and you will be able to see for yourself....they are the real deal. I honestly cannot come up with a con off the top of my head. Their system is unique and takes some time to learn how it works, but it is not difficult. Just like any new program, it takes effort on the user's part to understand. Once you see how it works, it just clicks. Also, they are great about modifications or tailoring the system to your needs where they can. They will be honest if the request is outside their ability to deliver. I highly recommend Wisetail to anyone that is looking to improve their training across a company that may span multiple locations.

When I realized PlayerLync made our sales and marketing video and documents accessible completely offline on the iPad, I knew it was the right solution for us. Before we started using PlayerLync, prospects didn't believe how amazingly well our Water Treatment Product worked. Now our sales team is able to show video of these types of products in action anywhere, including lunch and dinner meetings, and it helps drive credibility and accelerate our sales cycle. You simply cannot get better video quality than PlayerLync, especially when you see it next to Dropbox and streaming solutions. Video is a much more effective medium compared to paper collateral, and knowing that our videos play seamlessly on the iPad when presenting to a client is a huge advantage and gives me peace of mind. Additionally, PlayerLync is saving us a significant amount of money that we were spending on costly print materials.

We chose Wisetail over other LMS offerings due to ease of implementation, demonstrated understanding of the restaurant business, comprehensive branding options, down to the user reporting features, ease of course building/updating, and the social/communications aspects of the tool. Now that we are a month into our implementation, we are even more certain that we made the right choice. Wisetail listens to their customers with a genuine desire to learn from the feedback and to create additional features for all of their clients. Our client experience person is keeping our implementation on track on the Wisetail side and ours with weekly calls and anytime emails. I am confident that we will be able to meet our aggressive timeline, and launch our site at an important company conference this spring.

PlayerLync provide us with simple, straightforward way to get video and documents right into employees' hands - and bandwidth is no longer a concern! PlayerLync also gives us brand-message control over all of our assets, that we can now quickly and easily update anytime. We don't have a ton of training hours and we needed a solution that would allow us to train new team members quickly. PlayerLync offers a very easy and seamless experience for our end users. It's something we can put right in front of the learners, and we don't need to teach them how to use it. You just get in the app, tap the screen, and that's that.

I've invested a lot of time and energy into this product and at times felt frustrated by design limitations, glitches and earlier struggles to be heard and understood by the Wisetail team. Having said that, I've felt that the support and product updates have improved significantly from those early days. I've used other products that have grown stale and failed to keep up with the needs of their clients. I truly believe Wisetail is striving to do better. Frankly, I don't want to start over again with someone else, and they've demonstrated a commitment that I feel largely justifies the partnership.

Pros

This LMS provides a flexible platform design to meet a variety of learning environments. We've used the custom editing tools, SCORM upload, quiz creation, gamification and certification tools, and utilize a number of the provided reports. Over time the support staff have become much more responsive to our needs and addressing needed fixes.

Cons

While there is some level of customization, we have definitely hit up against limitations. Size and placement of images can be an issue, The quiz function doesn't allow sequential or matching. You can schedule reports and filter the content, but some content can't be removed and it's a csv file, so I have to clean up the file before sending to stake holders every week. We've used this product for nine years and have struggled through its evolution. It's mainly geared towards restaurants and environments that track ongoing skill testing, neither of which match ours. When using SCORM, we do have hiccups with modules not displaying complete. Finally, the develops test and develop the design to Chrome, and since Windows machines default to Edge, that also sometimes creates a poor user experience. When we did a major update in 2019, Wisetail did not offer a seamless migration. Everything had to be re-created by hand.
