### "Paycor - Simplified System A Must Have"

January 9, 2025

5.0

has more than enough to offer. One App. that can make life so much easier with these features: \* Payroll \* Benefits \* Expense Management \* Scheduling \* Background Screening \* Talent / Work Management \* Point of Sales \* And so much more. . An ability to have all the above qualities, if not most or all companies require - this overall experience is a blessing. Thank you Paycor for simplifying HR responsibilities. Well Done...🤗

Pros

It's compacted so much into one system. Not login in several apps to get everything done. Time saver for sure!

Cons

I am yet to discover a dislike with ..

### "Improving but still needs a lot of work. "

December 4, 2025

4.0

It has been okay but there is still a long ways to go. Some of the simplest things are not available still like password requirements or document signings and it is such a roundabout way to get something done.

Pros

I like the ease of use and how everything is centralized and together in one place. I think for the cost, we are also getting a lot more than the other provider we were with.

Cons

The customer service isn't the best and it is incredibly frustrating working with some of the success managers. They are not there to help, they are just there to "buy" more time, or they just completely ghost us.

### "Worst System Ever"

February 3, 2026

1.0

Overall, my experience with has been extremely negative. What was marketed as a comprehensive, supportive payroll and HR solution has instead been a constant source of stress and inefficiency. Critical payroll issues take far too long to resolve, support is difficult to reach and often unhelpful, and there is little accountability once contracts are signed. Rather than streamlining HR and payroll processes, Paycor has required excessive time and effort to manage issues that should be simple. I would not choose this platform again.

Pros

Mostly easy to navigate. It's difficult to find positive things as this software has been nothing but a nightmare.

Cons

I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with . Urgent payroll issues routinely take weeks to resolve, which is unacceptable when employees’ pay is on the line. Customer service is consistently poor, with long wait times just to speak to someone, and there are no dedicated account representatives to provide continuity or accountability. The onboarding process was inadequate, and the system was not set up correctly from the start. Once contracts are signed, support drops off significantly, leaving you to troubleshoot complex payroll and HR issues on your own. The platform is also not as robust as advertised. We were repeatedly told certain functions were possible, only to find out later that the system cannot actually support them. What is most frustrating is that when contacting support, it often feels like I understand the system better than the representatives assisting me. Any request, even basic ones, requires hours of follow ups, explanations, and escalations, and many issues still remain unresolved. If you choose Paycor, be prepared to spend at least five hours trying to fix problems that should be straightforward, with no guarantee they will be resolved. I would not recommend Paycor to any organization that values reliability, responsiveness, or accurate payroll processing.

February 26, 2026

Generally works for the needs that we have for our mid sized business. I have seen some improvements since Paychex has gotten involved.

Pros

Payroll is easy and user friendly. Employee management is very easy and our employees also find it easy to navigate.

Cons

Would like dedicated Account Managers for support. General support isnt always beneficial and find that resonse times are extremely lengthy and goes to multiple departments to solve problems.

### "Paycor Solutions"

November 25, 2025

4.0

Over it has been a good experience, provides the majority of our needs. There are updates that seem half baked and take a bit more time before it truly works for our teams.

Pros

The ease of onboarding from Recruiting and transferring data from the candidates application as well as processing offer letters through DocuSign.

Cons

The number of clicks it takes to complete a simple task and the random changes in the names of different drop downs. It becomes confusing and a learning curve each time

### "Good, but not good enough"

November 24, 2025

Overall, we were mostly pleased with , however, when there was no accountability after several errors, we decided to move to a new payroll vendor.

Pros

Cons

November 19, 2025

Decent overall experience. There are areas of improvements to be had, but overall they are better than our legacy vendor Paycors

Pros

Great user UX, Simple to use from a user perspective once a system is setup, Robust approvals and control systems. We use it for recruitment, onboarding, timekeeping, and payroll.

Cons

Onboarding was rough. Their team is stretched thin. Their support is inadequately trained. They provide inaccurate information, or don't know and you often times need to be escalated to level 2 support.

### "Paycor review- customer workshop"

October 16, 2025

5.0

So far it's been good. sometimes it's tough having different departments in customer service we have to go to. for example, recruiting vs HR.

Pros

I like the different products offers. For example, we didn't have a recruiting platform in the past, and Paycor's recruiting has been very helpful.

Cons

The different departments when trying to contact customer service. it's frustating when being sent to knowledge based articles instead of getting someone to hop on a call or video chat and address the problem directly.

### "It's a no from me"

November 12, 2025

2.0

Poor. There was some things that were an improvement from our prior provider, so it wasn't all bad. But overall, I would never go back and definitely do not recommend them to anyone.

Pros

It helped us consolidate a bit. Less systems like removing or ACA tracking system, Nimble. Their service team was also responsive, usually within the 1 hour for email replies.

Cons

Almost everything. The support team responded quickly, but was frequently incompetent or needed the support of other departments, which were much slower, to get answers. The implementation was the worst I have every experienced and we still believe the set up they went with caused many issues for us. They also made SO many tax errors so their tax team is incompetent.

### "Disappointing Experience with Paycor "

April 30, 2025

1.0

My overall experience with has been very negative. The system is clunky, unintuitive, and not user-friendly, requiring significant workarounds for even basic HR functions. Customer support has been one of the worst aspects—delayed responses, limited expertise, and little accountability when issues arise. Reporting is especially poor, with limited customization, outdated formats, and a lack of real-time insights, making it difficult to extract meaningful data without heavy manual effort. Overall, the platform fell far short of what’s needed to support a growing and dynamic organization.

Pros

I can't really think of anything. I guess the payroll is pretty easy to process.

Cons

Terrible customer service, terrible implementation process, system is not as robust as they make it seem. Onboarding is the worst.

Alternatives considered

[ADP Workforce Now](https://www.capterra.com/p/155895/WorkforceNow/)

Reason for choosing Paycor

Switched from

[Auris](https://www.capterra.com/p/195073/Heartland-Payroll-HR/)

I made the switch from Heartland to because, on paper, it looked like a more robust and scalable solution. We were looking to consolidate systems, streamline performance management, and improve the overall employee experience. Paycor promised more customization, stronger reporting, and an all-in-one platform that could grow with us. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match the sales pitch. The system is clunky and unintuitive, and the reporting capabilities are awful—limited, outdated, and difficult to work with. Customer support has been consistently unhelpful and slow to respond. Overall, the platform created more work than it solved, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

### "Paycor is Just OK"

May 14, 2025

3.0

is a decent HRIS system, but has a lot of flaws that you have to deal with. I have been using it for 2 years, and if I could go back and choose a different system, I would. In fact, we are already looking at replacing Paycor in a year or two.

Pros

What I like about the most is the payroll processing piece. The grid is easy to work in, and the pre-post payroll reports are excellent.

Cons

The customer service is terrible. You have 3 options for support; call in, create a ticket, or chat online. All three are terrible. The reps usually don't understand the issue and just want to close the ticket as quickly as possible. If they send you a follow-up question, you have less than 24 hours to respond before they close the ticket with no resolution.

Gradually getting more comfortable with the system. We’ve gotten more answers from the technical account management team than standard service solutions. The ease of use is pretty good the advanced technologies, leadership, empowerment tools, and workflows have been most hopeful.

After working with for the past four years, I truly love the system and know it like the back of my hand. I often praise the platform and credit it as a key contributor to my success in my role.

Pros

I always say you’re only as good as your tools, and I see as one of the key tools that allows me to perform my role effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Cons

If I had to note a drawback, it would be that we are currently on a legacy version of the system. I would love the opportunity to upgrade, though I understand this is a company-level decision and not a limitation of the platform itself.
