Overall I have had it since the beginning when it was Vetter and I'm still using it because overall it is user friendly. I like it because after so many years I'm very familiar with it.

Pros

I like the ability to chat with Tech Support. They were quick and the wait time was very minimal. Explanations are clear and the support staff is very friendly. I also like the ease of allowing clients to pay online through invoicing.

Cons

That a lot of my emails go to SPAM but it's not their fault. There are some things as an equine mobile vet that make it difficult to use due to the fact that I practice in multiple states but I'm not sure how to easily resolve that.

For mobile practice across multiple states, configure your Services Location setting to "mobile": Click "Settings" at the top of the page Scroll down and click the edit icon for "Services Location" Set to "mobile" Click the Save icon When set to "mobile," our software automatically calculates taxes based on each client's address rather than your clinic address. Important: When adding client addresses, always select the verified address from the dropdown menu in DaySmart Vet for proper tax calculations. You'll also have the option to select service location when checking in appointments. For each state you practice in, set up applicable taxes under Settings &gt; Configuration &gt; New Tax and configure them for the specific jurisdictions where you provide services.

Excellent. Excellent patient flow, excellent customer service, excellent price and excellent integrations.

Pros

I really love the look, feel and ease of use in DaySmart vet. I have recently tried out several different PIMS and this one just feels right and flows so easily. I also do EVERYTHING from my phone and this software lets me do that perfectly. The price is comfortable for me as a single doctor practice. The online scheduling options as well as fillable forms makes scheduling my appointments for my self so easy. Today I needed customer support and they were friendly and super helpful.

Cons

I can't really think of anything off hand. I left and tried a couple of different PIMS and I had to come back to this one. Nothing else compared.

For the most part, we have gained significant improvements with DS. Particularly in our ability to schedule appointments in a more organized way that better utilizes employee time without overbooking and integrated payment processing has been a huge time saver. While most of the updates out out do not apply to our workflow, the ones that do have been very helpful. We are hopeful that the improvement requests we have made will be acted upon, as they would greatly change our overall experience and likelihood of recommending DS to other practices.

Pros

Automated reminders for exams and treatment appointments, easy payment processing, ability to customize SOAP notes, emails, & forms templates, bundles for itemized invoices. All of these things have vastly improved our client communications and given a more polished, professional presentation of our practice.

Cons

Fair number of inefficiencies that have not been addressed yet so we have had to create a lot of work arounds to accomplish integral tasks. The pop-up notes system has been inconsistent and makes it difficult to see patient alerts that could pose a danger to the patient or staff. Lately, the search function on the calendar has been buggy, requiring several entry attempts before it works. I wish we could create rules for how appointments are allowed to overlap, followed by the ability to quickly pull up what slots are available for that appointment type even with the overlap. The repeat appointment system is clunky and difficult to work with, especially when you need to move any of the appointments "in the chain" as we've come to call it. For example, deleting a large amount of repeat appointments that have "broken the chain" is very tedious. We would greatly appreciate the ability to just see a list of appointments and use checkboxes to select as many as needed, then delete in one go - similar to an email inbox. A better way to send clients a single list of all appointments would be huge since our clients come several times a week for months. In our previous software, we were able to say "repeat this appointment every other tuesday until December 15th" and we have missed that dearly. I would like to set up the online booking module on our website, but given our workflow and how often clients come in (1-3x a week), it is too tedious. I would also appreciate more secure e-signature similar to acrobat's that includes timestamps with IP addresses, etc. If you made this change, we could cancel our Acrobat subscription that we are only keeping because DS doesn't have this integral security feature. I'd like to see the ability for clients to fill out new client forms that automatically populate into their new account while also being secure. That would save us a ton of time we are currently spending manually entering client/patient information. We would also like to see the merge client/patient process improve. At this time, it is difficult to tell what information will be lost when merging and it would be ideal for all information to be kept so we could then remove whatever we don't want. There are reports that we wish existed or the ability to use the existing reports more easily/dynamically and it feels unfair that we would have to pay for the creation of a report DS is missing. It can be irritating to bring up a significant issue just to be met with "yeah, DS can't do that and we don't know when or if that will ever be fixed".

I demo'd pretty much every veterinary software out there, except cornerstone and avimark because I already had experience with those and knew they wouldn't work for us. While DS was not my favorite choice functionally, it was the best value

Well I love \[sensitive content hidden\]. And I'm so glad she got stuck with me for the implementation, it went really well, and I'd say overall, I wish I had switched to Daysmart a long time ago.

Pros

Customer service! I appreciate the prompt, humans that pop on any time we have questions. The software is really customizable, and it's been a great way to make our practice more efficient. It works with Vetcove pharmacy which means all of our online Rx are right there in the medical records making it so much easier to keep strong medical records. We are just starting wellness plans, and I think that's going to be a great feature.

Cons

I wish it would allow us to send bulk emails/texts for marketing. I also wish letters weren't sent out as a link, but that the actual letters was in the email/text. It would look better and be more readable for clients. I wish that forms and letters and attachments were built more into the snapshot, it's hard to get doctors/techs to toggle, so in the snapshot it would be great if there was a hyperlink to labwork. Sometimes it just needs to be IN THEIR FACE.

### "Daysmart for the win!"

I have had nothing but a great experience learning Daysmart Vet. It will be so helpful in my day to day. Especially as a practice owner.

Pros

How friendly and helpful each and every staff member has been. They are easy to chat with for any support. My start up veterinary hospital will run so much smoother than any I have worked in before. Any issues are resolved and broken down or a quick video showing step by step. It is easy to find patients and make appointments and add to a digital treatment board. The cost is well worth the value of the software and more. They went over all of the security features and they pride themselves as a leader in protecting all data.

Cons

The only thing I did not like was that I had to learn another type of software. But it has been so simple and they help in so many ways, chat, email, FAQs, and video library.

### "Workflow Issues"

Satisfied, but would like to see more enhancements being added for general workflow with regard to veterinary charting

Pros

Customer support is very prompt. Feedback is provided, follow up is also provided and general questions addressed.

Cons

Limited features with workflow, no ability to incorporate body diagrams for marking abnormalities. Enhancements to make workflow easier are still under review such as being able to separate and identify records in two departments (boarding/veterinary) with higher search options included.

### "Building a mobile clinic with DaySmart as the backbone"

Pros

With starting a mobile clinic, I am building an entire practice. The onboarding process has been incredibly easy and painless. The technical support team has been fantastic about responding to my questions and helping me with the integrations. And the PetCare App is making it very easy to allow clients to add their animals, which decreases my administrative load. Additionally, the features included with the subscription made it so the other vet softwares couldn't even compete for the price.

Cons

The forms are easy for the clients to use, but they still require manual entry on the backend once completed.

Its my all time favorite vet medicine software and i wished it was used everywhere. Its easy to learn. Its pretty much impossible to "get lost" while using it.

Pros

After using Cornerstone, Avimarkand and EzyVet, DaySmart is the most user friendlier software of them all. The learning curve was the easiest from all of the software's listed above. The ease to find Patients previous history, previous treatments, prescriptions used in the past, managing the inventory, communication with IDEXX labs is smooth, even if client is a frequent no show no call is easy to track. Customer service is quick and easy. With previous software's we had to wait days to resolve any issues and there was the issue that IT was in a different time zone or had heavy accents we found challenging to communicate with. Daysmart is my all time favorite and i wished it was used everywhere.

Cons

We can send text messages to clients but they can't reply to us. We have to use a separate software for live communication with clients which does not log onto Day Smart. That's disappointing. Also, not being able to separate which pet gets the discounts (since its not a one size fits all situation).

### "A cost-effective and user-friendly system "

I've recommended the software to other mobile providers because I very much value its efficiency and lower cost than "bigger" software programs. It's been appropriate for a single-doctor practice.

Pros

As the sole DVM and owner of a busy mobile Practice, who is NOT an IT expert by any means, I wanted software that was basic and user-friendly. Navigating the system is quite easy. I love that all data is quickly automatically saved; there is no requirement to click "save" a thousand times a day. It's also very easy to block off times when I'm unavailable and if an error is made, it's a forgiving system that will allow changes to be made. Communication with clients such as sending invoices and patient forms such as consent forms is very simple and you can edit the templates that you use for these functions. I also loved the controlled drug log so that you don't have to keep track of controlled drug usage manually. All you have to do is designate a medication as controlled when you add it to your inventory.

Cons

No system is perfect, but as a more "basic" system, there are a few functions that I wish it had. As far as I can tell, there is no function to search for a certain product or word within a patient file which would be a real time saver. For example, for a pet I've seen multiple times, if I want to hone in on the discussion I had with the client about, for example, starting Gabapentin, It would super helpful to be able to search the patient's file for that search term. I also wish that there was a way to easily add vaccinations given by a prior facility to keep a record of them without building an invoice. I figured out a way to get around this by adding all the vaccines and important preventive care items to my inventory as $0 items that are specified to be "for record-keeping purposes only", but it's a roundabout way of achieving this.

The DaySmart staff is super helpful, the system can do a lot on it's own instead of needing multiple services.

Pros

DaySmart is is a very convenient and quick learning scheduling software. If there is something you do not know the help desk/tech support assistants are highly knowledgeable and super quick to assist you with your issues. DaySmart is constantly coming out with improvements and updates.

Cons

Some of the personalization is limited in how you can truly set up how you want your system to look. It is very basic and "ready to use" in that sense.

very good and very helpful and accessible. I feel that we have given the daysmart team many obstacles and they have always tried (and mostly succeeded) coming up with solutions to hiccups.

Pros

it is buildable for each practice. It is geared to full service vets rather than shelters and spay neuter clinics, but with all of the new services that shelters and clinics are providing, this would work perfectly

Cons

the lack of a drug log that allows bottle numbers and negative usage is a HUGE problem in the state of Va. Also the integration from our old system did not go as planned, but that was not a daysmart problem, rather a problem with out old software that did not want to release the information.

Pros

Choosing DaySmart Vet for our practice management software has been one of the best decisions for our clinic! Everyone on our team is thrilled with the ease and efficiancy of this program. Updates and improvements are continually rolling out. Communication between support and user is incredible! We are able to schedule our appointments, manage our patients, keep detailed records and all of it takes less time and effort than it did with our previous PiMS. So many easy to use resources and tools. We are very pleased!

Cons

We are still early in our use of DaySmart and have a lot to learn. But, currently there isn't anything that stands out. Overall, we are very pleased.

Overall extremely good. In the 10 years we have been with daysmart the software has been extremely stable in fact I cannot remember any time at all where it has gone offline or had any major faults- it has never let us down, and thats saying something- so a very reliable platform. In 10 years, a handful of minor issues (maybe 2 or 3) were quickly identified and remedied by the Daysmart support team. Also the communication between the support team and users is brilliant and the support team have always been helpful, polite and really friendly when we have contacted them for queries, special requests or feedback.

Pros

Very user-friendly and extremely functional practice software at a fair cost for Veterinary practices. The platform is uncluttered with an intuitive layout making it a pleasure to use. Excellent back-up support. We have been with Daysmart Vet since our inception and value it both in-clinic and also on housecall rounds (via Ipad)

1\. at that time there were very few software platforms that were Housecall friendly and being web-based, our medical notes fully integrated "live" with the in clinic system and thus it was a favoured choice. The other platforms back then struggled with I-pad mobile integration. 2) Also, we were (and still are) a smaller, low-volume and high-care clinic (not production-line style) and found that Daysmart had one of the most reasonable monthly cost structures for us. The other platforms seemed to have a starting subscription that were quite taxing on a one-vet practice starting up but Daysmart ( or Vetter as it was called then) were very fair to us small clinics. 3) and, although we didn't quite realise it at the time, Daysmart suited us the best as we did not NEED (or necessarily want) all the myriad of features that a practice software comes with, and Daysmart gave us the Excellent day-to-day software we all need to run our practices without the clutter of "over-features". We can however opt-in to those extra features should we desire them. Also, visiting nurses/vet techs and other vets always comment on how good our software is when they see it being used (Daysmart is not that commonly used downunder as they don't market it down here). Notably... they say it has far "less clicks" needed to get the job done in day to day use.

### "Great platform; Great support"

We opened a new clinic and within 18 months of opening, we were sick of the software we chose initially. We switched to DaySmart Vet and have been completely suatisfied with the platform and the support.

Pros

DaySmart Vet is very flexible and customizable. Customer support is great. I love being able to make templates for medical notes (for example for cat spays) then fill in the blanks. I do spays the same way every time. This saves me from having to retype my process in every cat spay SOAP.

Cons

I have no complaints. The Help menu is extensive but sometimes it isn't enough. When that happens, support tickets can be opened and are quickly taken care of.

### "Daysmart likes and dislikes. "

Overall I really do like it, but the things I mentioned are things the entire staff would like to see updated.

Pros

I like the ease of it being a cloud based system. Adding communication is so much easier than our old system. Really like the ability to instantly add photo's to a patient chart that are sent via SMS message.

Cons

I do not like that the system does not recognize what patient you have pulled in Daysmart when you go to the calendar to look for appointments. You have to keep two tabs open so you are aware of who you are talking to. Our old system recognized this when we scheduled appointments, so there was no need to have to look back or keep multiple tabs It is not useful to only be able to do that from their chart when choosing a specific doctor. Most of the time we need to look at the calendar as a whole to see where we can fit a sick patient in with ANY doctor. I also think all appointments should require a patient name in order to complete the appointment. I also really wish they would move the "notes" pop up box to go in between settings tab and the search bar. Having it pop up directly over the search bar or date tabs, is really inconvenient. It is nice that you can move it, but it would be so much better if it was in a space where it was not blocking anything else, and therefore did not need to be moved aside.

I love it! I have used multiple other systems in my 20 years and this is one of the easiest. The setup took less time than other systems I have setup. It has a lot of features and integrations that are helpful.

Pros

I LOVE DaySmart! It is so easy to use and they are constantly upgrading it with things we request. It is easy to request changes and you are able to vote on other people's recommendations. It is easy to email or text people their invoices, forms, certificates and more. Clients can pay online easily or we can put their card on file. The app for clients is great. They can see all of their documents and request refills. I made most of our forms and it was easy to figure out. The setup process is easier than some other systems. Making adjustments to inventory is also super easy.

Cons

Sometimes our clients get confused with our DaySmart texts because they come from a different number than our clinic number. It would be nice if the DaySmart texts came from our number.

Customer service has been helpful with our concerns. It has taken a while to get used to the work flow but we are starting to figure out how to best make it work for us. Wish there was a way to start a SOAP note and then bring in the estimate vs having to open a SOAP by converting the soap to an invoice...just adds an additional step.

Pros

Appreciate the drug log, fairly easy to use, and price point. Customer service has been helpful addressing our questions. Easy to email records and text clients through service.

Cons

Very click heavy. Wish there was an integrated AI for SOAP notes. Also wish the text # could be set to our business phone number vs having a separate number. It is confusing to some clients.

Overall, my experience with DaySmart is good. It was very easy to learn and easy to pick up on some of the shortcuts. Again, the Help Desk is extremely fast in their responses and helpful!

Pros

DaySmart is fairly user friendly and easy to navigate. There are certain aspects that can be confusing to work around, but the Help Desk and online Q&A in the chat are very helpful.

Cons

I wish we could add 2 owner names for the patient accounts. It would also be helpful if we could search by patient name in the scheduling screen.

Hi! Thank you for your review. You can add many many different relationships to a client or patient. To add multiple owners, simply navigate to the patient profile, click on relationship, and then + New Relationship. I know many people try to use one client record for multiple owners... you can now add multiple email addresses and multiple mobile phone numbers to a single client and you can use this for clients who have multiple email addresses and mobile numbers, or you can add a spouse. Navigate to client profile, select contact details, and then choose + New Contact Detail.

Pros

DaySmart customer support has always been very responsive to my questions via live chat, and they have excellent customer service and provide clear answers. I greatly appreciate that if the person I'm chatting with can't answer the questions, they find the right people to give me an answer in a very timely manner.

Cons

I really don't have any dislikes! I was the person in our practice that wrote all the workflows when we transitioned to DaySmart years ago, and it was very easy to do because the program is so clear and navigable.

I love that it is cloud-based, customizable, and user-friendly. My favorite part is the "read receipts" for client emails, so we can ensure communication compliance. I really appreciate customer support also - it's very personable and they always make sure to fix any issues we're experiencing.

Pros

The user-friendly experience and the customizable nature.

Cons

You can't edit "completed" tasks. So be sure to complete things that you wouldn't want to end up in a exported patient chart that the client has the ability to see. I would suggest just "deleting" the ones you don't want to be seen again.

Pros

Customer support is top notch! I appreciate how the product is constantly updating to improve the work flow! Scheduling is super easy, for both us and our clients when using the app! I feel like the fees are good for everything that is included.

Cons

Sometimes the program can be a little click heavy and the way you can do one thing multiple different ways.

It makes my job 10x easier every day. Im constantly bouncing between the features and trying to learn new things with it. If only my life was scheduled as easily.

Honestly its a very powerful program. The more i dig into it the more i enjoy it. Customer support is always helpful for me.

My appointment colors dont always transfer to where i put them in my settings and there are many different ways to do things so it makes it somewhat hard to train new people
