### "Makes the Recruiting Process Quick and Easy"

Greenhouse has made it easy and straightforward when it comes to the recruiting process. I have leveraged it as someone who is interviewing/searching for candidates as well as someone who has referred others to different positions. It is an easy to use tool from a user perspective with reminders and an easy to use platform.

Pros

Greenhouse has made it very easy to follow the recruiting process - whether it is a referral or it is someone joining my team. It is very easy to see feedback, look at resumes, and review candidates after the interview.

Cons

I really like the software and haven't had anything I don't like about it. That said, I am just a user and don't know much about the setup process or the reporting functionality.

Greenhouse has been really responsive to any issues, questions, or bugs -- and those have been few and far between.

Pros

It's so easy to use and intuitive that we haven't had to train our staff on how to use it. Truly incredible. It's really helped us manage recruiting better and reduced the amount of time that it takes to hire.

Cons

Mostly it incorporates best practices around recruiting into the design. There are a few place -- like inability to score candidates -- that I wish would be built out. If you're comparing 30 candidates that you've gotten from a pool of 300 and have to decide who to move forward to interviews, the rule in / rule out mentality no longer works.

\- Encourages collaboration between interviewers - Built around the idea of a structured interview process, which helps us make data-driven decisions - UI is intuitive and easy to navigate - Customer support is top notch - responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable - They continually roll out new features and improvements, largely based on feedback from their user community

Cons

\- There are a lot of reports that come with the system, but no option to build custom reports from scratch - Managing prospects is a bit messy and often creates duplicates. We've adopted a Talent CRM (Beamery) to help us better manage prospects and talent pools.

I've had a great experience with Greenhouse. I feel like I can dig for answers before going to ask a teammate or superior. Not sure if this is possible but the team talked about not knowing who the recruiter working on a particular role at a given time might be. So having something that would integrate with confluence to show that might be nice.

Pros

I like the ATS and the features it includes like displaying the person's LI page. On a large team it makes it easier to see if two people with the same name are in fact the same person. (in most cases)

Cons

Would like to see more integration with other software.

It’s more fluid of a process with candidates and it is more intuitive.

Pros

Ease of use and how intuitive this takes a candidate through the full life cycle. I’ve worked with icims, jobvite and others and am most impressed with GH.

Cons

The price is too high for small companies to afford, along with lack of customizing options. But I have never found a commercial ATS that is fully customizable.

I've always had a positive experience with Greenhouse and see it as best in class in the space.

Pros

Greenhouse consistently provides the easiest way for hiring teams to evaluate and review candidates. It's very easy to prepare for interviews and determine who the best candidates are in the final hiring process.

Cons

It's sometimes hard for the user to see the past comments of other interviewers. This should be easier to get to. This is probably done on purpose but Greenhouse should review how users may need this access to make it easier to do a quick review as part of the interview prep so they know where to focus.

We were able to quickly implement and build a great database of well qualified candidates. We now have a central place where colleagues in remote locations can be aware candidates, interviews and hires. Also, we can respond quickly to the hiring needs of our organization and scale for contract wins.

Pros

Greenhouse is very easy to use. We had no issues with the set up, importing candidate resumes, and setting up our process flows in a way that makes sense to everyone, even casual users (hiring managers).

Cons

It takes a bit of focus to get the hang of the search but the support team assisted us and now we are proficient.

I love it, it's great, would highly recommend companies to adopt this portal system as it makes candidate submissions much more quick and efficient allowing more time to resource.

Pros

Just the sheer smoothness of the submission process for new candidates. Allowing to move quickly on processes and waste less time.

Cons

It's tough to really find something I like least, I think they could have a Perm / Contract pay options so you can decipher the difference on how people are paid.

Pros

Greenhouse makes it easy to keep track of candidates, send them testing, and has some good insights into process data.

Cons

I wish there were some more flexibility and that more of the software listed to each other - for example, modifying data can be inaccurate because the same data has to be corrected in multiple spots. It would be great if the program was smart enough to detect that.

### "Greenhouse is a great ATS! "

Pros

First off, the Greenhouse team is super responsive to questions! The simply chat window at the bottom makes it easy to get a hold of a representative when there is an issue. Overall, the entire system is SO easy to use! I train new hires and managers on the system and I only get a few that come back with questions. The offer process - easy. Changing the interview plan - simple. Scheduling, adding permissions, creating templates - it's a breeze. We moved over from a previous ATS that was not intuitive, customer service was miserable, and we felt very limited on what we could control with the system. Greenhouse is very customizable, super easy to use and troubleshoot, and encompasses everything that an ATS should!

Cons

The one downside to Greenhouse is that they constantly are updating their UI to the point where it confuses the users! I find that after I've created training material, Greenhouse will change the UI and I have to take new screen shots and update my deck. They then do not update their own training material quickly enough for users to use. I've also found that they have been having some issues when it comes to the communication between Outlook and the system. They have had to change the scheduling alias multiple times from calendar@greenhouse.io to calendar2@greenhouse.io to schedule@ghcalendar.io to fix the issue.

### "Best ATS I've Seen"

I did a thorough analysis before choosing Greenhouse over competitors like Jobvite, Workable, Cornerstone, and Taleo (which was our legacy system). It seemed like a daunting task to migrate all our data and learn a new ATS, but I am so glad we did it and in retrospect it actually wasn't very difficult. Greenhouse completely managed the whole migration. Our whole HR team loves Greenhouse and now we realize how Taleo didn't actually help us recruit better, it just allowed us to file candidates away and maybe find them in the future.

Pros

My favorite parts of Greenhouse are the automated email tracking, the ability to queue emails to send at a later date, and the ease of use for managers and interviewers to provide feedback.

Cons

There are a couple areas that Greenhouse can improve - 1. Emails disappear if you click off of them in the same screen, 2. Availability should save after sending it out to one candidate so that you don't have to keep putting it in, 3. Email signature needs some improvement to look good and be easy to change.

Fantastic! I would highly recommend this system for recruiters! Everything from the Calend.ly integration, to the automated rules you can apply to the applicant process, to the job posting links that automatically name you as a referred (very useful for referral incentives!) and the ability to see where your referrals are in the interview process!

Pros

I love the ability to customize messages, integrate Calend.ly to set up interviews in one easy click, the ability to assign permissions for certain positions to those on the hiring team for a specific job posting, and probably my favorite is the built-in referral tracking for employee use! I have my LinkedIn integrated with Greenhouse so that every day at noon, it automatically posts an open position on my LinkedIn profile, rotating through the open positions. If someone applies through my link, they're automatically listed as my referral as well!

Cons

Sometimes you can have too much customization, which isn't really a con unless you don't have time to go through and set it up properly. Especially when it's customizable among various users. However, I won't say that's a con, but more just something to be aware of.

Greenhouse is being used for recruiting new employees through current employee referrals as well as tracking applications that come in for current job openings. This has helped with tracking of applicants as well as job openings for employees to send referrals to the company. The ease of using this program has helped cut down time needed to train current employees how to use the program which is great.

Pros

Greenhouse is a great recruitment and application dashboard to host all open positions and manage referrals from current employees for future prospective candidates. I like that tracking of applications is made easy with Greenhouse as well as it is a pretty easy to learn program. It does require a lot of training of current employees to use the referral portion in Greenhouse.

Cons

I wish this integrated with more software programs, but other than that, no complaints! It is customizable and they have friendly customer support. It does integrate with Google calendar and is fairly easy to use for all.

Pros

Greenhouse is the best ATS I have used to date. The functionality far surpasses any other system. It does take some time to setup to the fullest extent (since there are so many options), but it saves you time exponentially in the long run, and makes the administrative burden of recruiting as seamless as possible. I love that interviewers and hiring managers can be actively engaged with the platform, and that Greenhouse gives them the tools that they need when involved in a hiring process.

Cons

The only con is that I don't find Greenhouse to be the most intuitive of systems. It's certainly something you can master with minimal training, but I don't find it to be the type of system where you can login for the first time, and intuitively know what to do - there is a learning curve. That being said, the positives far outweigh this one piece - it's just something to be aware of when considering expectations.

Ease of use is a big pro - one of the main deciding factors to choose GH 2 years ago - Being able to keep most of the recruiting process in one tool Follow up reminders Scorecards are a nice value add Excited for the ever increasing reporting capabilities DocuSign and HIRED integrations Stage notifications Notes and mentions feature Offer and email templates Candidate survey Tagging - I'm sure there are others...

Cons

\- While not a total con - scheduling - trying to find internal room availability is not as intuitive as we would like (not as intuitive as using Google Calendar to find the rooms outside of GH) - other than that massive improvement to scheduling - Rejection notifications if people have gone through a stage in our process - we may be the anomaly as our hiring managers handle most of the recruiting process where us as recruiters facilitate the process and schedule interviews

As I was getting onboarded to my coops and internships, I used Greenhouse quite often and it was very good in terms of communication of what I needed to do and what documents I needed to be onboarded.

Pros

The user interface was very simple yet effective and aesthetically pleasing. I knew of all of the tasks I needed to complete through a dashboard, and I had visibility to new documents provided to be to aid me in my onboarding. The transfer of documents from me to the company and vice versa was very easy and I completed the onboarding tasks in a very short time with ease.

Cons

There were some documents I found in a different section which I had some difficulties downloading. Not sure if this was an issue with the software itself, or more so an error on the onboarding coordinator side for putting the documents in the incorrect spot.

Pros

Greenhouse has a lot of features and their customer support is super responsive. I think it's the best ATS on the market, and they treat their employees right which means the product will continue to improve and thrive. There are still many improvements I'd like to see before I can consider this an excellent option for large companies.

Cons

Right now certain features are really slow. Reporting takes forever to load which causes me to not use reports as often as I otherwise would and takes away from that feature in general. I know this is something that will likely be improved over time. Some things are glitchy. If a candidate is on multiple jobs, it will oftentimes assign the candidate to the wrong coordinator/recruiter which makes notifications difficult. It has a feature that tells you tasks that you need to do, however it doesn't differentiate between different roles on the team. For example, it tells coordinators that they have tons of candidates to schedule, and when you click into the dashboard many of the candidates are in early stages that are scheduled by recruiters. Could be improved because I don't know how well this will function as our company scales. Dashboard feature could be improved.
