Pros My recent experiences with the Help Desk have been great - they are quick to respond and will help work through an issue until is it solved. The new AI feature to create courses is pretty impressive - still needs work but it's definitely improving our courses. Cons The functionality of the emerchant does not allow an external client to place one order for multiple participants or courses. This means we have to do manual signups. Cons There are quite a few glitches with the new interface and it is taking quite a lot of time to get them sorted out from TalentLMS's side. The mobile app also desperately needs an update. Even with my plus package, which doesn't come with an assigned sales rep, the customer support has been very efficient and helpful. All the features work as expected within the platform and my users love their experience as well. Our company loves the app and browser options, as well as having branches to create other learning environments. Even without automation, the notifications are very useful and pretty much automated themselves. You cannot beat the features and functionality of this product for the price with other LMS products. I love it. Pros I love how easy it is to use. I pair it with Articulate360, and the ability to add SCORM files and create additional lessons in a course is awesome. I didn't have this feature available in other LMS platforms I used in the past. It was either a SCORM course with no additives, or purely made in their authoring tool which lacked features. TalentLMS has integrated SCORM packages into their course authoring tool as well as provided great authoring features in their own product. Cons There isn't much, but I would like it better if some of the features were not tucked behind some of the more expensive pay structures. For example, having AI assistance and automation locked behind the highest tier. It was a great product for that, but we simply don't use that and so we didn't want to pay for all the bells and whistles when TalentLMS does everything we need it to do for a fraction of the price. I also like how, when using the new interface, you can create courses with AI. Pros The ease of use for the admin, learner and instructor. I also like how TalentLMS is always adding new courses. Cons The courses are very basic. For example, I work for a tech company that integrates AI across our products. For non-technical roles, it'd be nice to have a deeper dive into AI and what it is. There is a basic intro to AI course but nothing past that. I wish the reporting was more specific. The reporting isn't terrible, but there is definitely room for improvement. It is by far the most affordable training solution that we could identify, and with TalentLibrary, it is the most robust training solution available for our use-case. Pros TalentLMS' base-level of functionality, accessibility, and ease of use for administrators, instructors, and learners alike is its defining feature. As the primary administrator and course creator for my organization, I was able to quickly learn the software's limits and work within them to create an effective training curriculum for a youth audience. Once deployed, that youth audience was able to navigate TalentLMS and complete their courses with minimal issues or bugs. All this was possible with an LMS that came far below the price-point of all other LMS' we considered. Cons There is nothing I strongly dislike in my experience using TalentLMS. Every question was answered promptly with care and knowledge. Working in TalentLMS is a dream experience in that there are so many online learning resources available. It is so easy and quick to get up and running with it – most intuitive LMS I’ve come across so far. If the answer isn’t online, then a quick email to my customer representative returns a very quick response, and if it is a technical question in nature, it is forwarded to the TalentLMS Technical Support team ASAP for a speedy turnaround time. In my opinion, we couldn’t possibly be happier with any alternative LMS. Pros If I had to select three main reasons why I recommend TalentLMS, they would be: 1) exemplary customer service, 2) intuitive and fun application to work in, which integrated seamlessly with our existing business processes 3) abundance of online resources to leverage from. Cons If I had to select three areas that are not my favourite, I would select 1) it would be so much more beneficial to my creative side if I learned more HTML (you don’t need it, as it has a great editor, but I like to add a little extra sometimes than the editor offers – so I dive into the source code and keep my finger’s crossed :) – but at least I can do that! 2) sometimes there seems to be a minor delay in the group enrollment processes and I cheat and click a convenient button to hurry it along if I need to 3) we have implemented single sign-on and when I want to test a learner’s view rather then my super admin view, I have to log out of all my SSO systems before I can simulate the learner to see their view, so if I could come up with an easier way to be a test user, that might be nice (maybe more experimenting with cache clearing and browser incognito mode might help). Reason for choosing TalentLMS I did investigate this option, however, they had changed hands and I didn't warm up to their approach. I found that uploading PowerPoints as MP4 works better than a PowerPoint. Cons You can't add voiceover to the new AI and it doesn't use the whole file you upload, so let out way too much information for what I needed.
