We mainly us Pimcore for product content management at which it performs very well and allows us to update information in a single location for all our eCommerce and additional platforms. It's a tool that provides massive assistance when running a large scale store with hundreds of thousands of products.

Pros

Extremely flexible, good integrations and the fact it uses Symphony.

Cons

The pricing could include a cheaper plan but there is an open source option, trouble is this is quite a bit more complex to setup.

The level of customization is basically infinitely, but you need to be able to use them. Means you need somebody who can code.

Pimcore is a tool used in our company of mass consumption distribution for the development of information sheets on each of our products, our products are supported with all the necessary information required by the consumer before making your purchase, this leads to maintain greater confidence as a distributor managing to maintain a better connection with each of our customers.

Pros

Digital commerce is the new boom of this era, therefore carrying the necessary information in all our products promotes the confidence of our customers and allows us to maintain an acceptable level of sales, increasing every day and giving us to know that customers like to know the products we sell. Operational efficiency was also increased because now we can know what products to market at the right times. The main thing we should say about Pimcore is that it is free, which allows us to test and verify if the product can really be beneficial and adaptable for our company, Pimcore customer service is one of the best despite being a free tool, which makes the experience much more profitable. It is one of the PIM tools that has worked best for us and allows us to increase productivity in the sales areas.

Cons

Despite having a great customer support team and a fairly simple overall usability it was a bit difficult to implement the tool to our operations, but after that the results have been very beneficial. The user interface could be a bit better, as it seems a bit outdated for this day and age. The data delivery channels can sometimes break down causing loss of time and information.

Pros

Every datamodel is possible, no boundaries. We used it for solutions that could not be done by other PIM systems. It includes PIM, DAM, MDM and more.

Cons

The current user interface doesn't look very nice. It's good that we know hear this will be solved!

Overall experience had been very good for our wide variety of use cases. The data model could be set up as per our needs. It was easy to make changes and configure new features.

We currently have our main website on Pimcore, does the job but doesn't add anything great.

Pros

Does the job, you can run your website on Pimcore, update it. We have a bespoke version, which isn't ideal as then you're stuck with whoever developed your website - rather than being able to hire other developers.

Cons

It's not very easy to use, you can find your way around it but it does take a while. And as mentioned, because we have a bespoke solution that means that when we need anything changed, we are stuck with going back to the company that initially developed the website for us.

Its basic features are always enriched and highly tailored towards the individual digitization needs of its users. Especially larger companies with complex requirements value the large flexibility that this approach provides them in regards of providing a highly personalized experience to their customers. Pimcore is built for developers and empowers them to build great digital experiences fast and easily. As a consequence Pimcore is NOT an 'out-of-the-box' software product like Wordpress. When looking at your website I saw that you are running an outdated version of Pimcore, which is quite old already. I invite you give our latest version, Pimcore 6, a try, which makes the editing experience even more user-friendly and intuitive. Best, Christian (Marketing & Partner Management)

We work exclusively with PimCore since v3, which is to say how much we appreciate this software and just congratulate us. They are responsive and friendly. We are developing a set of bundles that allow the management of Print publications and the PimCore / Active WebToPrint solution is a great success. Their annual Inspire conference has opened up the international market to us naturally and we now have customers in Europe, USA, Africa, etc ... Many thanks to them without whom we would not have the success we have. I recommend VERY HIGHLY!

Pros

PimCore is the only open-source platform with full PIM, DAM and CMS capabilities. With our plugins, this is the only solution that allow to manage Print draf and publications, connected to InDesign or exporting directly to PDF HD CMYK, in addition to native features. With its GPL license, everything is accessible and it is easy to develop plugins, overload existing functions, modify the interface, etc ... A MUST HAVE

To be honest, not much. Can be a more user-friendly interface but the v6 should fix that

Pimcore has helped our customer cut across data silos and get a unified clean view of their data and assets. It has help them improve their data quality and greatly reduce their time to market for months to days.
