It helps to evaluate the team productivity. Reports are useful and work well for remote teams. Cons Sometimes app feels a bit slow, and user can be more user-friendly. " October 20, 2025 1.0 The software is easy to use, the reporting is not that good. For ex. "Lookup project, see time billed" does not exist. How can a time tracking software not have a simple report showing me all the time billed to one project and by who? They constantly tell you all these convoluted steps to figure it out and they expect you to spend 10 minutes everytime you want the info. Now imagine it's the end of the month and you want to bill all your clients for time spent... Hubstaff makes it worse actually. Pros It accurately does additions of time and tells me who recorded what so I know what to pay. That's about it. Cons Customer support is terribly bad. Used them 8, 9x for different things, and it was always terrible. They provide phone support if they consider you a VIP customer who spends a certain amount with them. Otherwise support is through email and their virtual-online agent which is absolutely asinine. The email agents which are ostensibly humans seem to just send you FAQ links. February 25, 2026 5.0 I'm enjoying it a lot! It helps our team to be organized. It's super nice that we can link it with payment websites like Wise and PayPal. Pros We can organize the team x projects and have projects timesheet. Love it! Checking the project hours is gold! The support staff, while helpful are limited in what they can actually assist with resulting in many tickets being sent to the development team and extremely lengthy delays in any kind of response, if at all. Pros The tasks add on is great for project management and keeping staff on track Cons Auto clock in is unreliable due to mobile data reception in some buildings. A lot of the features are not working and I am still waiting on support to rectify them, including my inbox, which makes it extremely difficult for me to track my own tasks and organise my day. Notifications have been turned off several times in organisation and personal settings but everyone is still being slammed with emails. The work orders are very clunky and there are no options to duplicate for one or two days (only) rather than weekly, or monthly. The timesheets are a joke - manual tracking is inconsistent and manual entries after the shift for payroll purposes are clunky and time consuming, especially for long shifts where you need to record a meal break. Pros 1 - Ease of tracking the work and also getting review like the activity. 2 - It helps us in keeping track of our work and also the idle time alerts help in monitoring the work. 3 - The most important pros for me is the alert which I get if i forgot to start the timer that helps in tracking the time. 4 - Also is I track the wrong hours means in another project it is very easy to shift the time to another project with a few clicks. Cons 1 - Sometime there is issues with the interface means for a particular functionality we have to do a lot of clicks rather than a simple navigation or shortcut. 2 - There could be privacy concerns not sure about that as the screen is recorded. For me, as a user, this software used an excessive amount of processing power, and its UI not even well-thought out. Pros It does provide with very specific features to keep record of time spent working helping with accountability. Cons Its interface is not very appealing, with many widgets spread across sections that use too much space of the screen. Also, for some reason it made my Mac Air M2 run way slower and overheat. At the moment of installation, because of all the permissions it requires, I was alerted by the laptop's built-in security agent that many of my passwords had been stolen. That was a major red flag. Hubstaff does require certain permissions to track activity accurately but we take data privacy and security very seriously. That said, your feedback on the UI and performance is valuable. However, we'd like to note that Hubstaff was designed to use a minimal amount of system resources, about 15-40 MB of memory. If you have multiple and/or large displays, it may go up to 100 MB. I would like to see something like allowing "x" amount of work breaks in a 12 hour period and not until "x" amount of hours have been worked until 1st break and an option for no terminal breaks.
