Pros I really like the application—it’s user-friendly, and makes it easy to store client details and manage tasks efficiently through its CRM features. The interface is intuitive, and navigating between different client profiles and records is seamless. Additionally, the integration with Hubstaff is a great feature. Overall, it's a solid tool for both client relationship management and team productivity tracking. Cons One thing I find a bit inconvenient is the requirement to create a project separately after adding a client. For me, this feels a bit unintuitive. Ideally, the option to create a project should either be integrated into the client setup flow or prompted immediately after the client is added. It would streamline the process and save time, especially when onboarding multiple clients in a short period. A more seamless workflow between client creation and project setup would definitely enhance the overall user experience. Owner Internet Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Choose annual pricing carefully" June 12, 2025 1.0 Well - it was all fine until you realize there is absolutely 0 flexibility in the annual plan. Been a member for a number of years with HubStaff, and have paid annually. Downsizing my team and wanting to cancel our membership; however - they're unwilling to offer any sort of refund. I suggested that they simply run the math to assume we were paying the higher monthly rate for the year, and refund us the difference - that way we have earned no discount, and if anything - they come out ahead for having gotten paid early. Nope - just flat out refusal. Shame - went from enjoying their software to feeling like a money grab. Oh well - better software out there for cheaper anyway. I wouldn't come back nor choose them if I were starting fresh. Pros Time tracking software is accurate, scheduling is nice, it's a feature complete product so can't complain there. Cons A bit expensive per user for what's offered, and too much functionality is locked behind additional costs. Thankfully, the core product is accessible on their main plan. What I didn't like was that they were completely unwilling to refund a portion of the annual plan - even though I suggested they calculate it to assume we pay the higher monthly rate for what we've used, and refund the difference, which is a completely fair approach - but this was just flat out refused. Independent Contractor Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Great timeclock for a seamless contractor experience" December 18, 2025 5.0 Hubstaff is seamlessly integrated with my client's platform, so other than hitting start/stop on the Hubstaff timer, my actual interaction with Hubstaff is minimal. And that's how a timeclock should be! I guess I wish my client gave me more work to do so I could clock in and out on Hubstaff more. Pros Hubstaff has been one of the most user-friendly timeclock tools I have ever used. The process of getting set up as a contractor was simple, streamlined, and straightforward. It worked flawlessly - I don't even know how their Customer Support is, because I've never had to contact them. I open the app, hit the start button, work, and hit the stop button. That's it. My hours go straight to the team and I get paid. It's automated to a level where I don't even have to talk to a person to use it. I also really appreciate that the desktop app prompted me about whether I wanted to minimize or completely close the app when I click the X. Cons There was one single time where my client asked me to watch a training video and Hubstaff marked me as idle while I did so. I don't think it should have, as I was doing what I was asked, but I just learned to interact more with the screen when watching training videos. Review Source LW Lydia W. Very helpful! Cons Some of the functionality with the time syncing entries. I wish there was a way to allow members to edit after an entry is completed, or the next day after it locks, and be able to pick and choose who those people are. Maybe that it doesn't give you totals when you export it. You only can export hours. The support staff, while helpful are limited in what they can actually assist with resulting in many tickets being sent to the development team and extremely lengthy delays in any kind of response, if at all. Pros The tasks add on is great for project management and keeping staff on track Cons Auto clock in is unreliable due to mobile data reception in some buildings. A lot of the features are not working and I am still waiting on support to rectify them, including my inbox, which makes it extremely difficult for me to track my own tasks and organise my day. Notifications have been turned off several times in organisation and personal settings but everyone is still being slammed with emails. The work orders are very clunky and there are no options to duplicate for one or two days (only) rather than weekly, or monthly. The timesheets are a joke - manual tracking is inconsistent and manual entries after the shift for payroll purposes are clunky and time consuming, especially for long shifts where you need to record a meal break.
