Candidates appreciate being able to record answers on their own schedule from home, eliminating travel, while employers value the faster, standardized screening process that allows them to review more applicants quickly. Cons Without watching the intro video it can be complicated unnatural, "robotic" experience of talking to a camera without human interaction, the anxiety-inducing, one-way nature of the recording, and concerns regarding the potential for AI-driven bias in assessment. The company clearly does no testing, quality assurance, or read reviews. Pros Nothing. It didn't work. It is not a comfortable time for most candidates so adding critical software challenges certainly wasn't helpful. Cons Everything is a technical mess. I have a brand new computer and was using Incognito. The system blew up four times during my interview. I was able to sign back on twice and continue my interview; in direct opposition to what the instructions said. Three more times I 'lost' my interview question so I don't know what was saved. One I never had access to answer? I still got the job offer. What a bad software product. Caution - make sure everything is set up perfect before you are dumped into the general support world there. Pros This has freed up so much time for our managers who were previously doing phone interviews. It has been a huge improvement in our process and time to hire. Cons The implementation team was amazing but after they drop you into their pool of support - there is terrible follow up and it is impossible to get someone to support your needs. There is a culture of not providing phone support and when you do call , they refer your issue to a "team" who never responds and you don't have a rep to help you with your issues.
