Id use them again if my current company rolled Gusto out. Simple to use and easy to navigate. I was able to still log in a year later after I stopped working for the company and retrieve my tax forms.

Pros

Simplicity of use. It was easy to navigate. Also, its more than a time clock. They track hours, but also PTO, vacation requests, location of clocking in and out and all your tax forms

Cons

It wasnt always accurate on location. At times it would say im next door when i was in my office. Not good for someone who is going to be micomanaging employees

Overall I have been happy with Gusto. There is a live person you can get ahold of when needed. They are constantly improving their platform to make things easier for the busy business owner that is doing it all. Some highlights are the time tracking and scheduling. Some complaints I get from my team is that the kiosk doesn't clock you out. I think that if you don't hit the buttons just right your entry isn't processed.

Pros

Gusto does it all and they have great customer service. I have called many times and typically my problems are fixed within a few minutes. They tend to have good follow through with issues. They are committed to improving their platform regularly. This is helpful. I was glad they've added time tracking for contractors. This makes paying people straight forward.

Cons

Not a huge fan of their al-a-cart pricing. It is quite a bit extra per month for HR services. Most of which you can google on your own. I think they could benefit from asking long term customers for feedback.

I overall loved gusto and being able to access my 401k on there! Overall the account management was easy to use as well as accessing data on Gusto.

Pros

I loved being able to access my 401k and see my monthly payment breakdowns! It was easy to use and as an employee it was easy to read.

Cons

I dont think there was anything in my time using gusto that was bad. There were no bugs or issues that occur when I was using the app!

Very positive. They are much more affordable and user friendly than ADP who I was using before them..

Pros

It is so user friendly even for people that aren't really experienced with accounting or payroll processes. They also have great customer service when I have needed help.

Cons

I have had a few issues with taxes that were my fault (typos), but they were a little slower to respond to my issues that I would have liked.

### "User-friendly, but unreliable payroll app"

Pros

When the system worked, it worked well and had good functionality. I would say its biggest strength is the variety of reports and customization available.

Cons

We often had the platform go down at random times, and the support team was not very helpful. For instance, the card we had on file to pay our subscription expired, so the whole system went down. No one contacted us to let us know that was the problem, or we could have solved it before losing access to the system. Also, Gusto lacked the scheduling and employee communication tools that we found in another system.

### "Gusto is for Small Businesses"

It's a 75% application. It's 75% great, but there are few issues that could be resolved to make it a 100% great application. It's worth the money for a smaller business, but for larger enterprises, there are better solutions.

Pros

Ease of use. From a user perspective it is convenient with a very simple UI. Navigation is intuitive and provides an excellent user experience. The mobile app provides a very similar UX.

Cons

The only part of the UI that doesn't make a lot of sense is the time edit save processes. When time is edited with a note added, the user can't hit "Enter" to save the record update. In fact, clicking "Enter" will close the window without the update. In most applications "Enter" will result in the submission.

Pros

What i liked most about Gusto was that you have everything all in one. I was able to clock into work and have my direct deposit sent right to my gusto account.

Cons

What I liked least about Gusto is that it can be picky sometimes when trying to sign into my account.

Worked well for getting paid and didn't really have any complaints, although we ended up switching to amore robust software.

Pros

Easy to use when it comes to being a company team member receiving payroll. It made the process relatively simple.

Cons

Missing robust features that are available in some other payroll management platforms that also have many other HR features.

Excellent. I have a small business and it interfaces perfectly with my tax/bookkeeping folks. It suits my personal needs as well, since the information I access is required for non-business needs, including loan and other financial matters.

Pros

Easy to use, great accessibility for needed documents like W-2, paystubs, tax returns, etc. The login is reasonable easy, and it's easy to find the information I need - in particular the tax and paystub information described above, which is often needed for nonbusiness issues as well.

Cons

I've had no negative issues with Gusto. The site is reliable - it has not been down when I've needed it.

Positive and gets the job done! I would recommend this as a dedicated time tracker for any small business looking for such a service. Its dependable and reliable!

Pros

Ease of access and how simplified and easy to understand the menus are, it is easy to "punch" and clock in and also have employees times adjusted.

Cons

A few bugs where it wasn't loading for a few seconds, but these bugs were quickly ironed out and We haven't had any other issues since.

Great service, would highly recommend, great pricing. It is easy and intuitive. I appreciate getting the reminders to run payroll.

Pros

Fast and precise payroll. Direct deposit is great. Taxes are paid on time with no missed deadlines or penalties.

Cons

Inability to customize withholding taxes while running payroll. You do have to go to the individual employee and change their withholdings.

My experience with Gusto was overwhelmingly positive. It is user friendly, cost efficient and uses multiple channels of recognition.

Pros

Gusto is extremely easy to use. It has a very wide selection of merchants and can use alternate methods, such as QR codes.

Cons

The only negatives I could really identify is customer support. Mainly the fact that there was no availability or support on weekends.

### "This software is good and it has worked well so far"

This application does provide a single location for all my payroll and insurance information so I do not have to dig through my messy email inbox to find the information I need. My dog is now barking at the mail man that is walking down the street. Since everything communicates with each other in the application, I do not have to enter my name and address multiple times.

Pros

I am currently sitting at my squeaky desk in my office trying to get this done so I can leave for lunch. The dashboard is clean and it clearly points out where the pay related items are so I do not have to dig around to find them. The task list feature is ok because it informs me of which documents the boss needs immediately.

Cons

There is one major frustration that I have with the application, it will not allow me to choose today as an end date for time off requests (even if it is just for a couple of hours). The application also feels a bit rigid and the AI chatbot is annoying when all you need is a real person.

I have had no issues with Gusto as a Manager. I would say the cost of the app is high even though we are a non-profit organization.

Pros

The wallet function, benefits area, the PTO request function, and ability to sign in with biometrics.

Cons

There is no scheduling function where staff can swap shifts with each other. Lack of gps tracking function when clocking in and bread crumbs.

If you have multiple businesses, different locations but being paid from the same account or even different accounts. You can have as many work locations as you find helpful, keeps things organized and efficient.

Pros

Gusto is very technology friendly, easy to use and provides diligent on time feedback via emails if there is an issue with any of our payroll pushes. Gusto is a one stop shop for our employees who are enrolled in health benefits, its easy to navigate to your benefit details in the app for each employee and on the back end as the company, its a nice dashboard and easy to see what is being paid. Adding new users is simple, you just need a couple details from the new employee to get them sent an invitation via email or text (can do both). i appreciate this as it keeps the employees confidential tax info private and secure.

Cons

Dont have much to put here, we use it for our clothing boutique as well as our ice cream parlor, its easy to have multiple businesses all in one payroll account. I am very happy with gusto. No cons thus far

I thoroughly enjoy using Gusto. I am able to complete many company processes in a much timely manner than what it would take me to complete them on my own.

Pros

Value for money-gusto streamlines many different aspects to a business. Most importantly, payroll, taxes, and onboarding of new employees. Gusto makes life easier!!

Cons

They are closed on the weekends when it comes to customer support. Sometimes I wish the built in reports were different, but no big deal as I have learned to tailor my own!

### "Unreasonable Cancellation process"

We used this company for a long time but they are unethical about account cancellations so i cannot recommend.

Pros

Functional payroll company. They constantly increase their fees so it's no where near as good as it once was.

Cons

We cancelled our service without running any payroll in the month of April and they charged the full months fee anyway. Gusto has had constant price increases and you are stuck with paying for a full month regardless of when you cancel their service.

### "Daily Gusto user - love it!"

I use Gusto both as an employee of a company to view my own pay and benefits, and also as a payroll administrator for contracted employees we pay for services rendered. On the employee side, I really like how easy it is to view my own pay/benefits details, including detailed breakdowns of my paychecks and deductions. I also like how easy it is to request PTO - I use the Gusto mobile app regularly. On the payroll side, I find Gusto incredibly easy to pay contractors. Usually payments are deposited the next business day, making it super easy for our contractors to receive their pay in a timely manner. However, each contractor does have a monthly limit on payments, but you can reach out to support to increase these limits.

Pros

I love how easy it is to not only schedule payments for contractors, but how easy it is to view my own information as an employee of my company as well.

Cons

Sometimes it's a little confusing to locate the details of past contractor payments and invoices. I also don't enjoy that each contractor has a limit on how many payments per month they can receive - we have had to combine several smaller payments into larger ones for some of our contractors, which has delayed payment in the past.

I've been using Gusto for over ten years, I can't imagine switching to another payroll processor. It just works.

Pros

Gusto is very easy to use, it makes payroll and onboarding a breeze. They also keep up to date and offer new products regularly.

Cons

What is there not to like? I guess once in a great while there is a glitch, but they are always quick to fix any issues
