"Good ingredients, but too much packaging and inconsistent deliveries"

**Overall:** My overall experience has been mixed. The food itself is usually enjoyable, and the quality of the ingredients is often better than expected. However, the service isn’t always reliable. When ingredients are missing or unusable, you’re still left needing to visit the supermarket to complete meals you’ve already paid for, which defeats much of the convenience that meal kits are supposed to provide. Customer service does make an effort to put things right, but compensation in the form of future credit means you still end up spending additional money to solve this week’s problem. It’s a reasonable service, but there are better alternatives available.

**Pros:** The recipes are generally tasty and easy to follow, and the ingredients are usually of a good quality. Compared with some meal kit providers, Gusto doesn’t seem to cut corners on ingredients, and the variety of meals available each week is decent. The service is straightforward to use, and meal planning becomes much easier when everything arrives ready to cook.

**Cons:** The amount of plastic packaging is excessive. Almost every ingredient seems to arrive wrapped separately, which creates a surprising amount of waste each week. I’ve also experienced occasional delivery issues, including missing ingredients, spoiled food, and even meat or fish being included in a plant-based order. While customer support is generally responsive and tries to compensate for mistakes, refunds are usually provided as account credit towards a future box rather than resolving the immediate problem.

"Gusto review"

**Overall:** Overall, my experience with Gusto was very positive. It is an easy-to-use and efficient platform that works especially well for small to mid-sized companies looking for a streamlined payroll and HR solution. The system simplifies payroll processing, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee self-service, which saves a significant amount of administrative time. While it may have some limitations for larger or more complex organizations, it provides a strong user experience, reliable automation, and solid customer support for companies seeking an all-in-one HR and payroll platform.

**Pros:** Gusto was very user-friendly and intuitive for both administrators and employees. The platform made payroll processing, onboarding, benefits administration, and tax filings simple and streamlined. I also liked the clean interface, automated workflows, employee self-service features, and the ease of managing payroll and benefits in one centralized system. Customer support was responsive, and the implementation process was straightforward compared to larger HRIS/payroll platforms.

**Cons:** One downside of Gusto was that it can feel somewhat limited for growing or more complex organizations. Reporting customization and advanced HR/payroll configurations were not as robust as larger enterprise systems. Certain integrations and workflows also lacked flexibility, and support for more complex benefits administration, compliance tracking, or multi-state/international operations could be challenging as the company scaled.

**Alternatives Considered:** [Paycom](https://www.capterra.com/p/130949/Paycom/)

**Reasons for Choosing Gusto:** Thought it was better, still went with paycom after a year.
