You can deploy a VDR quickly to people that don't need training or instruction. Cons Other products offer many bells and whistles that Firmex doesn't have but adding those would probably impact the cost of the solution and it's easiness. We've selected the product so it fits a simple situation and would like that it stays that way. As for bells and whistles, we are always looking to add more features/functionality to the platform, and with improvements comes an increase in cost associated with those platform improvements. The panels are clear at a glance, and the method of operation is great and simple. And I found its accuracy rate was very good as well. Cons I think there might be a bit difficult in file transferring. I found that sometimes if I had saved a document in a wrong location and needed to transfer it to the correct location, then the transfer didn't work so I had to delete the document and reload it to the right place. This can be customized to create an entire folder structure for you and then uploaded directly into the data room mirroring set structure. Within the platform you can create new folders by using the drop down arrow that is located either at the index level or folder level. This will allow you to create a new folder immediately within the desired folder structure area. Here is a link to support this. We also have an excel template that can be customized to your due diligence folder structure. The excel template can be uploaded into the data room directly which will automatically create an entire index folder structure for you. We have made improvements to the platform recently in order to accommodate large uploads and downloads of up to 50 GB. Some of our competitors can only handle 5 GB upload/downloads. Never been overbilled. The team provides a heads up if you are reaching storage capacity vs. simply upping your bill. I've never had a client unable to understand how to use or access the data room. Pros I love the ease of setting it up. Other products have more features as far as downloading and tracking, but everyone does bulk downloading so it is irrelevant. You get the key features you need: Accessed, % downloaded, ability to revise documents, etc. Cons I haven't had any issues with the software. The customer service is the best I've seen.
