I like that the dates on each file is shown as it provides information to the administrator if the file is updated. As for your issue downloading files with a watermark, there could be a couple instances of why this is happening but without further details I can only speculate. For security reasons, only users themselves can download files with watermark as the watermark is specific to each user. However, if you don't see an option to download files outside of our view as feature, please ensure download is enabled as both office & PDF files can be downloaded with watermarks. Cons Perhaps the reporting could be a bit more robust. Not a huge complaint, though. There are simply times when a report request comes in from a client and I cannot find a suitable option within Firmex. I recommend to my friends who need to use a VDR. Pros It is very easy to create new folders and only add select groups to these folders. Additionally, the VDR is very safe and the watermarking feature is great. Cons Sometimes the Q&A tracker is a bit difficult to use, especially when seeing new questions. " April 20, 2023 5.0 Firmex is a very useful for the M&A arena we are in, having trained several colleagues over the years they tend to pick this up quite quickly. Firmex has several tools to assist in the due diligence phase of a project (reporting, bulk download etc). Pros Ease of use, the reporting features that allow you to monitor progress and those that have accessed the data-room. Confidentiality is paramount in our sector and being able to restrict companies and individuals on the data they can see is very useful. Cons The only area that I think needs improving on (and I'm not sure how this can be done), when inviting people into data-rooms, on quite a few occasions the invite will end up in junk folders and not picked up. Reason for choosing Firmex Virtual Data Room We had a couple of demo's with alternative data-room providers, they were too over engineered compared to Firmex and thinking of others that would need to be trained up on these, both internally and externally, the risk was too great of someone making a mistake and provide the wrong permissions and also too many tick boxes , which could result breach of confidentiality. Since security and confidentiality is important it is the main reason why we created the View As feature to see what your guest users can/can't see based on their permission settings. In terms of user invites going to spam/junk, it's an issue within the VDR industry based on how the invitations are sent and individuals spam filter settings being high. I've been using the VDR every day for the past 6 months and the product has never failed me. Pros Firmex is super user friendly and intuitive. The feature are easy to use and understand. The platform also updated his search engine and it's been a true game changer in locating documents. Cons It would be helpful to be able to assign permission to specific sub-folders. Other than that, it's a great VDR!
