It allows the software to be tailored to an organizations specific needs. It is also extremely beneficial for maintaining data integrity. Cons It's cumbersome, report generation is slow and unintuitive. The relationships of tables are sometimes difficult to discern. Small innocuous changes will sometimes impact seemingly unrelated aspects.
