we love bigtime - it makes our record keeping so easy and consistent.

Pros

we like being able to customize a lot of our regularly used reports, as well as how easy it is to connect to our quickbooks.

Cons

switching to the new software, we lose a few of the capabilities we had before.

BT has improved our "back office" experience and allowed my staff to focus on client needs.

Pros

BT has allowed my small office to streamline and billing/invoicing as well as scheduling, and task management. While any new program has a step learning curve, BT has been available every step of the way to help us trouble shoot, problem solve, and help us decrease "operator errors."

Cons

It did take some time to learn the program.

Easy timesheet entry process

Pros

I like that I can log in throughout the day, see what time I've logged and make edits if needed. Team at BigTime support helped me figure out how to easily see who has logged PTO time so I can quickly push that into our payroll system.

Cons

There are some expense charges, like field truck charges, that I would like to be able to somehow link to a timesheet entry. We are trying to figure out how to make sure all field days have a field truck charge associated and I'm still trying to nail down the quickest way to do that. I am new to the software so maybe there is an easy way that I'm missing.

You can bill specifically to a project/client and the user interface is friendly enough.

Cons

The multiple lines don't always make it easy to keep track if you are on multiple projects. There should also be more options to input information

Pros

Overall there are a lot of beneficial aspects of this program. The one that we look forward using the most is the report generating aspect. This will allow us to view, manage, and maximize the efficiency of our employees and business. It will allow us to provide a better and more reliable product to our customers. We had the opportunity to work with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and it was a great experience. He was very helpful and knowledgeable of the program.

Cons

The only aspect of BigTime that could be improved is the vehicle tracking and overtime/comp time tracking. There are ways to work around both of these aspects but if there was a more complete way to track these two items, it would be the perfect program.

It saves me tons of time and frustration entering several people's information into QuickBooks and then will download into invoices once it has been transferred. Put in as much info as you need in the description and it will populate.

Pros

I needed to find something specific that could work for my consulting engineering industry, interact with QuickBooks desktop, and with remote people. I am the owner, the IT, the accountant, the engineer, and I need something that can work logically and simply, not break the bank, provide good customer support when I need it (which they do, quickly). So far, it has been pretty easy to learn and set up.

Cons

I was not able to get one task set up for each person that worked for different billing rates. I had to set up a separate task for each.

Pros

The software offers a great way to keep track of employee projects and PTO time. The reporting feature is extremely helpful in pulling quick data, such as hours worked in a specific range or remaining hours for a project/PTO. Training employees on the software is quick and clean because the software is comprehensible.

Cons

We've struggled with some intricacies that we've asked if modifications can be made. The response was if an area of the software is changed it affects all clients of BT. One example involves invoicing. It is confusing to us why hours entered by an employee are available to invoice even if the hours have not been approved. We have a few admins, so there are different admins approving hours and invoicing.

I use BigTime to track my hours, activities and expenses. As a consulting engineer you need to account for every minute. BigTime lets me do that.

Pros

The software is very easy to use. It is great for consulting work because you can go back and pull data for your client on hours worked.

Cons

I really have no negative comments about the software. I find the expense setup very easy to use as well. No issue

Easy tracking and reporting of the time spent by the employees on each project/client/process that we have. It's a helpful tool on maximizing resources by being able to have an accurate billing report to the client.

Pros

A quick and easy to use time and billing software. I can add up our projects and straight away key in time spent on each client/process. This helps our management team track allocation per process/client that we have on a weekly basis. It helps the user easily tracks and exports data from the system as well. Another good thing is that it is customizable!

Cons

Permission groups are sometimes dependent, where it allows others to access certain features to be able to work on some other features. When one forgets to save/sync entries data are lost.

Pros

We have been with Big Time for the past 6 years and have recently went from Enterprise to IQ Pro, and we just are so pleased with all the improvements. Brea, the BT consultant has been fantastic in helping us transition. We have had a great response with the support team! she has gone over and beyond in getting our needs met. I needed some customized reports, and she was able to turn around in just a few hours. Overall, we are very pleased and happy to be a part of the BT family.

Cons

The syncing tends to be an issue at times. Once synced, the data tends to not always be correct. We work closely with the Support Team to resolve

### "The transition takes a little getting used to"

Pros

Bigtime has all the features we need to effectively track and bill time and expenses. The layout has a great look to it. The feature set is full of different controls that allow the administrator to set up the system so that it works well for the team.

Cons

The biggest downfall of the software is the lack of ability to set up finite details on the invoice creation. We have been working with the team at Bigtime, who are great, and have learned that the invoicing section is being revamped and will be out in the next couple of months. With the new invoicing abilities, there will be very few issues with the software

This all is one software works perfect for our small office. Staff learned to use the software in one training and they've had no problems. BigTime is definitely a timesaver for our office.

Pros

Having an easy to use software for both timekeeping and project management is a huge timesaver. Being able to review/approve timesheets, as well as keep track of task completion proved to be exactly what the project managers needed.

Cons

Need the ability to customize invoices more than allowed.

### "What Big Time Means To Us!"

BigTime is solving our inability to properly track time put against our projects, which we have many of. Ben Kinsel was AMAZING in our first training together. He let us speak freely, as well as give us time to understand and learn anything we didn't immediately understand. 10/10 on training skills!

Pros

My favorite part about this software and the most impactful to our business in my opinion is the ability to assign fixed rates to our projects. It takes us far beyond what we were able to do before, which was very little. The ability to actually be able to track what we make or don't make on each project is HUGE!

Cons

There really isn't anything I have found yet that I do not like, I will most definitely let you know in the future.

Reason for choosing BigTime

as stated before, we didn't really look into other options.

Bigtime is great for time keeping and invoices for hourly based projects. 7 person consulting shop and this is perfect. I've worked at large organizations as well and this would be great for them too.

Pros

Easy to use, mobile app is great for receipts. Allows for good reporting. Weekly training sessions are helpful, especially reporting session from Ben.

Cons

When using on an airplane with weak internet, the application does not function as well as on the ground.

Daily time tracking is much easier to do.

Pros

BigTime has saved me hours of work. My company used to input everything by hand through excel and now we have all our employees do time sheets through BigTime. It is very easy to use. The reporting and tracking is very helpful. Data entry/recall is great.

Cons

On several occassions while posting timesheets from BigTime to Quickbooks, there have been some unexplainable software glitches. This slows down our progress and we have to contact support. The issue is usually on BigTime's end and we cannot fix it on our own.
