### "The Timekeeper that works"

We have been a user of BigTime for around 8 years. That should speak for itself.

Pros

BigTime is really easy to teach your employees. It has a lot of functionality for different types of phasing and billing. The website is accessible with an internet connection. It integrates well with Quickbooks

Cons

It has drop-down lists. They can get lengthy without better sub dividing of some sort. New Entries into the system don't always sort correctly.

### "Review of BigTime After a Month"

After reviewing four options for Time and Expense Tracking software we decided on BigTime for two reasons: Ease of Use and Invoice Templates. The Time and Expense entry for the engineers in our office was intuitive and easy to learn. The mobile app works very well and is used more than we anticipated. From the administrative aspect the setup is relatively easy and the user interface is easy to follow and understand. I really like how the screens navigate from one to the other and how I can customize what I want to see on each screen. The clicking on the column headings to view the information in varies ways is great. We create about 50 - 60 invoices each month where the format may vary depending on the client for each one. BigTime does a good job of providing a base of invoice templates with the flexibility customize. The one thing that is really missing from the invoicing option is the ability to display the Total Cumulative Amount Invoiced as of the current invoice (prior amount + current invoice amount). I have requested this change and hopefully it will be added. The last aspect is customer support. Two training sessions were included in the software subscription. The first one was good for the very basic information, maybe a little too basic. The second session was much more informative that gave us some good practices to use with BigTime (Brea was very knowledgeable in both). The day to day support seems short handed. Most of the time you have to send an email and wait for a response which could take hours or the next day. As a new user that was a little frustrating. I don't necessarily need to talk to someone on the phone but a live chat would be great to get an answer and move on. That is the one area that I would recommend BigTime address. Overall we are happy with our decision to go with BigTime and I would recommend BigTime to others.

Pros

The user interface is very intuitive and easy to learn

Cons

I cannot display a cumulative invoice total in the budget summary for invoicing (prior billings + current billings).

We just started using the software and are impressed with the support staff at Big Time. They are helping us to set up the program and customize it for our needs.

Pros

We can track our jobs from start to finish and see where we are in our budget. The software it easy to use and adaptable to our circumstances.

Cons

Can't incorporate history of old jobs into Big Time. We are a historical company that has been in business for over 45 years and have a huge following from past clients. It would be beneficial to be able to go back to these jobs when needed.

So far it's been good. We are still ramping up and doing the initial set up of projects and phases and doing our migration.

Pros

It was easy to jump in and add to projects and company/staff info

Cons

Migration is always a headache no matter what system you are moving too.

### "BigTime - The Good The Bad and The Ugly"

On the phone the service department is respectful and helpful, but the problems rarely get resolved. We're told they'll get back to us but it never happens. We just find 'workarounds" or abandon whatever it is we were trying to do in BigTime.

Pros

Very user-friendly, easy to jump right in.

Cons

Most of the data I need to pull can't be on one report; I have to pull multiple reports and merge them in Excel. This often causes issues with data alignment, etc.

I don't know, I wasn't with the company when it was purchased.

Pros

BigTime es façil de configurar y usar, permite la conexión a QuickBooks para publicar información y permitir la facturación a los clientes. Cons

Un punto negativo de BigTime es que a veces crea tiempos duplicados. Enviando el doble o el triple en horas de trabajo.

I like using it because it is user-friendly especially when you get the hang of it.

Pros

I like using this software because it enables the user to track the minutes/hours that they spent on their task/projects. This is especially applicable for recruiters that handle different projects in a week. What I also like is that you can also access the web on a mobile phone or tablet

Cons

There was a time that once you have submitted the report and review it. They are some glitches with double entries. But it was already been resolved and handled. Nothing serious and cannot be handled.

Been using for 3 years - no problems or complaints. system is easy to use and has a shallow learning curve.

Pros

Ease of use; convenient smart phone integration - especially camera-phone for ER receipts.

Cons

Don't know if BT will handle 1.5x, 2x, overtime premium labor hour situations.

Reason for choosing BigTime

We began Cost Point implementation but realized that without much larger, more complex contracts we could not justify the expense or complexity. BT works fine for our small business needs.

Pros

BigTime is an excellent software for providing real-time billing and time management reports to ensure a project is on budget and resourced properly. The online and app version functionality make it easy for all employees to maximize the use of this tool.

Although I love the ease of reporting, it is a little messy. Granted I have too many... but I would love to see them identified better somehow in the list. bullet points maybe?

### "Lots of Options"

Support team is quick to respond and has multiple options to contact them. Account managers follow up frequently.

Pros

Ease of timekeeping and expense module.

Cons

There are lots of different options to set things up and you need to fine tune what works best for your organization and the other softwares you implement into. Still fine tuning 2 years later to find the best ways to set up projects and tasks for quality reporting. Would like to see white labeling and SSO integrations in the future.

BigTime is a great management tool that easily helps me track my time and resources for myself and my employees. It's reports give me a greater ability to forecast workload and revenue.

Pros

BigTime provides me and my employees to keep daily time sheets and expense report entry. It automatically sends me as a manager notifications that I have specific tasks to perform in approving time sheets and associates expenses. It also provides valuable reports for tracking real time costs for projects that helps me manage my projects and allocate the proper resources.

Cons

BigTime has many features that require some training to implement. The learning curve for using this system can be lengthy if applied to a large company and needs the investment of time.

Pros

Easy to understand for the end user and easy to administer. Sync function works as designed and interface has improved with phone app and new version.

Cons

Missing one feature - Let the admins setup and apply Holiday defaults to employee timesheets. This would eliminate a lot of issues that come up every pay period that includes a Holiday . For example, employees inadvertantly use a regular work code for a Holiday or they manage to use the Holiday code for the entire work week. If it defaulted on the sheets that would eliminate most of this distraction.

that it keeps the entries from last week so that we don't have to completely start over each week. It is easy to login to system.

Cons

That there are no short cuts for the comments. You can't create custom reports unless you are an administrator - it is hard to find stuff that you entered months ago

Regarding the "create report" con below - actually, your BigTime System Administrator can, if they so choose, create a user group which would allow this ability to be assigned to any user. The specific permission would be "Report: BigTime Report Administrator" and if you, as a user, are given this permission, then you can create and edit reports without being a System Admin. Of course, this is ultimately up to your company, however, but the ability to do so exists within BigTime. Regarding the ability to find things that you entered months ago, we would love the opportunity to speak with you more about this. Pros

Cons

I am still struggling with getting my reports to print in a easy to use format. However, I just upgraded to this new system after using an older version for over 10 years so I might be just stuck in my old routine.

I love the Task/workflow management features. I also like that this enables me to have detailed notes from staff which transfers into QB for accurate compensation AND billing.

Cons

Wish there were time stamps for staff entries; it would be helpful to see time trends for staff working on project/client matters.

There was a reasonable amount of well-organized training before our launch. Most of the glitches since then (relatively minor and related to client billing) have been resolved by technical support and more training.Over time, this program should meet our needs very well.

Pros

Robust features and 10 years of experience. Support staff seems eager to help.I was impressed by Tyler's technical expertise and patience in solving all of my issues.

Cons

There's a learning curve for billing clients in the complicated ways that architects do. Each month it has gotten easier. Had a few problems with using their proprietary email program for sending invoices out. Knowledge base could be easier to navigate/search.

Pros

That it sync with our Quickbooks account, makes tracking time and expenses easy and accessible to our employees who work in the field, and the support team is always prompt and helpful.

Cons

The mobile app can be glitching. I recommend to our staff to enter time and expenses on the app, but to review and submit them through the desktop version.

I really like the reporting it's outstanding. I can quickly and easily analyze my data, allowing me to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions to drive growth in my business. The ability to customize the reports to my specific needs is another standout feature that I really appreciated.

Pros

What I liked the most is the ability to track detailed time spent on each project. This has greatly helped me to have precise control over my activities and to maximize my productivity.

Cons

So far, I haven't found much to complain about. However, one of the aspects that I think can be improved is the integration with other tools and software that I use in my business.
