Does what I need - staff have no problems at all entering time and it does all we need to track returns and who has what

Pros

I chose this software since cloud based access and integration with Lacerte and Quickbooks, my staff has found it easy to use.

Cons

Reports are very, very generic and lacking compared to other programs I have used

### "Time Management Tool? Use BigTime!"

Overall, BigTime is the best tool that we've used so far in checking our daily time allocation for our numerous projects. It gives us confidence that we are billing our clients accurately, and when we are questioned we can always provide those data to our client.

Pros

We use BigTime in our office in order for us to know how many hours did we allocate for a certain project or for a certain search. Before, we only rely to our end of day report or to our memory, and it is really hard to just rely on that whenever we need to bill the client already. BigTime helped us resolve that problem by being systematic, orderly, and easy to use. It is a web-based program so anyone can access it anytime; anywhere. It is easily integrated to quickbooks as well so BigTime is the man in terms of time entry, and client billing.

Cons

What I least like about BigTime is that sometimes it is really hard to submit our time data entries. When we click submit sometimes it duplicates the hour spent we indicated on a certain project so we need to redo it and delete those dual time entry that I think is happening because of some glitches on their back-end unit.

Pros

Bigtime is extremely intuitive to use and has some nice features to make time logging less of a headache. Two examples are that it carries over projects from previous weeks, and it prompts you to add a description per time entry rather than per week of entries (like QuickTime does). It also has a decent mobile app for when you're not by a computer.

Cons

While it is nice that they offer a mobile app, it has minimal functionality. You can't see a view for the week to enter time into, so you need to re-add the manual information for each time entry like the project and task. The reporting part of the site is also a bit less intuitive than the time entry portion.

### "BigTime for Tracking time spent for each client"

Pros

We use BigTime in the office in order for us to keep track on the hours of work we dedicated for each client. I am handling different accounts (clients) in my line of business, and in order for us to ensure our client that we are billing them correctly, we track the duration of time we are consuming for each task for a certain client. BigTime is easy to use. It is a web-based platform that enables you to select the project, and put immediately how many hours and minutes you have used in order to complete a certain task for each client.

Cons

Whenever I submit my timesheet in BigTime, sometimes it adds more rows with corresponding hours. You need to be vigilant in submitting your hours because BigTime is not that 100% flawless.

Pros

BigTime is so user-friendly, it's intuitive and easy to find your way around. That said, they also have the best customer service - shout out to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] who has been helping us from implementation to troubleshooting and trainings. Anything we need, he is always super responsive and incredibly knowledgeable.

Cons

The software is so robust and offers so much customization it can take awhile to fully realize all the uses and benefits. After 2 years we are still finding new things we can do within the software.

Pros

I can easily view the billing status of all of our jobs from my phone, computer, ipad, wherever.

Cons

It is not really a criticism but it took a little while to adapt to the software. Once adapted it makes perfect sense.

Overall the experience with BigTime has been great. It will help us better manage our business.

Pros

Being able to forecast and see how employees will be busy for the next 6 months and beyond is key in being able to implement smart and effective staffing strategies. BigTime was very easy to implement, it is user friendly, and the onboarding training and support has been incredible.

Cons

I would like to see more options for report templates, I would also like to see the contact info for each employee to be more robust to eliminate the need for a separate HR tool.

Cons

Training guide for staff would be mice. The admin training portal is nice but only available for admins. I want to see my staff complete training and track their progress.

Bigtime is recommended to work with billing tools for projects, and to organize work orders. It is also a good idea to use it to track time and expenses, and to manage portfolios. It also serves for budgeting.

Pros

It is good to see that bigtime integrates so directly with the quickbooks platform, since this way it works better with invoices and workflow management tools. It has good functions for time tracking and staff management.

Cons

It does not work with dunning management, nor does it have an integrated payment processing system. Nor is it useful to calculate taxes, or to work with customer portals. The platform does not bring a good own system for projects that supports agile methodologies.

Everything has been great with BigTime; set up was very quick and easy and any questions or issues get dealt with very fast. Had to reach out today for an issue and Top resolved it in minutes.

Pros

Very easy to use and has the ability to add in hundreds of active projects at a time.

Cons

The way the daily hours is calculated; easy to miss not having the correct number of hours (regular vs ot).

Overall, BigTime has been easy to do business with and the software has optimize our back office. The front end time and expense reporting system allowed us to kill static Excel forms and provide our users with a clean modern interface to start the data entry process.

Pros

BigTime allowed us to optimize how we track project dollars and hours. In the past we would manually enter the data multiple times to different forms and systems - it was always out of date static information. Now, we enter the data once and have real-time access to project costs and hours. The data flows to invoices, reimbursements, and reports.

Cons

Overall, the software is solid. There are a few navigation workflows that can be improved. BigTime is aware of some click stream patterns that result in getting too deep into a project where you need to click back out to the "home" screen to restart a navigation into a project. This happens more on the administration side - the time and expense entry process is simple.

It makes is very easy for me to access the info I need to complete my HR tasks.

Pros

Easy to use, run the reports once you get them to generate the info you need, easy registrations and submission.

Cons

The data behind what you see is a little difficult and I wish they had webinars and other help pages for the users. The reports are a little difficult to set up but once you have it, it's very easy to use.

Timesheet is super easy to track because of this software! You can input decimal points, you can always go back and edit if you haven't submitted it.

Pros

This is an excellent tool for keeping a record of your workflow and time in motion. Super easy to understand and can be accessed even outside the office. Once I forgot to submit my timesheet, but I didn't have to worry since I can send it at home without installing any apps (but just fyi, there is an available app you can install, which is very awesome!)

Cons

There's one or two times that happened, there was a double entry of an activity that I didn't do. I think it was a glitch, but I think they already fixed it. So no more complains.

I'm in QA engineering normally, but I've recently taken part in some internal billing related projects where we've consulted out to other firms. Using this software has really streamlined things for me in a way where project management isn't so daunting anymore. I highly recommend the software and would use it again.

Pros

This software really is great for project teams that are working in more of a professional services type setting. It really seems to do it all, whether it's time tracking, project management modules, expenses, financials, resource allocation, etc. For me, the resource allocation portion was actually the most impressive (and important) aspect for me, as it allowed me to continue onward with my normal engineering duties while providing professional services support via this software.

Cons

Project management and billing software is not my forte normally, so it took a little bit of time to figure things out, but I eventually really enjoyed using it, so I have nothing I've disliked necessarily.

### "An Amazing Project and Client Management Tool"

Fantastic company to work with. Our Account Represenative is phenomenal. He is always going the extra mile and is just a genuinely kind person. He also explains these incredibly well and is able to listen intently to our problems. Great company and great people.

Pros

Bigtime.net allowed our office to communicate more efficiently and effectively. Gone are the days of "asking if something is done". Instead, we check Bigtime.net to see where a project/slient is being held up.

Cons

Currently, we want a workflow system that will alert individuals when a task is completed. We have Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual tasks that need to be done. The annual task (Annual Tax Return) typically uses Monthly, and Quarterly information. On top of that, a CPA handles the tax return and needs to be alerted when the final monthly accounting has been completed by the accountant.

We are just getting started with BigTime, so I can't speak yet to the changes it's made for our organization. However, if the enthusiasm my team has displayed about potential benefits BigTime can offer us is any indication, we are going to be very happy indeed! The BigTime sales rep was so helpful, friendly, responsive, and informative while he was walking us through the product demonstrations that I feel like I know the software fairly well even though my hands-on experience with it is still minimal. I think the biggest challenge will just be to get everything configured in a way that allows us to get the most out of it. Based on my experience with customer service, I have no doubt that they will help us over any hurdles that pop up if we need to reconfigure things at a later time.

Pros

\- Dedicated, personalized customer service. - Lots of customization options. - Thorough training process to help us make the most of the software. - Customers can make requests for software updates or changes, and BigTime is responsive to them.

Cons

\- The grey, tan and orange color scheme, and I'm only mentioning that because I have to write something in this section!

Pros

It's very flexible, intuitive, easy to use, contains meaningful set of features that cover all needs and more. The tech support team and how easy it is to access the support team is one of the best I've worked with. Many thanks to the people who set it up this way. If I could rate it with 6 stars, I would.

Cons

As always, there are more features that users could dream of. In my case, I'd like to have an admin control to turn off users ability to enter their hours in some cases.

### "Smooth Transition"

Overall great experience. rep has been extremely helpful, thorough, and patient! He has made the transition as smooth as smooth could be given the amount of data we had to migrate. If you can you should ask to have him as your migration manager

Pros

Well, it's the next evolution of something we've been using for a long time. Love all the new features, the new, easier to manipulate, analytical tools are great. We are hoping that making this level of control available to project managers will alleviate the manual paperwork workload they currently shoulder given our antiquated invoicing practices.

Cons

It doesn't have the ability to export and sync invoice data to QB as a percentage of phase fee. This makes it difficult to integrate BT invoicing directly into QB data. A problem made even more difficult given that all of our projects to date have been invoiced from QB

I really love Bigtime because of the customer support. Without that this would be extremely challenging. I hope there will be more development to make the program more fluid for various types of projects.

Pros

Simple interface, fairly user friendly, and customer support!

Cons

The behind the scene formulas are not always intuitive - negatives mean positives and vice versa. There isn't a ton of flexibility with customizing the workflow as it relates to the process in our studio. For instance, we had to set up our tasks as labor codes and each timesheet entry that has a different labor code needs a new line. There is often a lot of back and forth to understand workarounds. Also trying to understand how to display something the way we want to see it is challenging and without the support we would have been lost.

The web interface works well and is very intuitive to use. Since it is cloud based you can aceess it from any web browser.

Cons

I would like to be able to have more than one timer running concurrently, but I understand wht this is not allowed.

Regarding your question about running multiple timers at once - the reason for this is straight forward: BigTime timers are not a clock-in/clock-out system, but are tracking your time minute-by-minute, second-by-second, like a stopwatch. If you could run multiple timers at once, then, there's a possibility that you might double-charge some customers, or even accidentally charge "Customer A" for work that was actually done for "Customer B"- and no one wants that. However, it's very easy to switch from one timer to another - just a click! ### "Excellent time management and customizable invoicing system"

We were looking for a solid time management and invoicing system and were hard pressed to find something that was really specific and tailored and not a huge SAP system. BigTime was an amazing find! The system is easy to configure, easy to use and the support has been amazing. We're very happy with the system.

Cons

Wish the documentation for the custom invoices was stronger.
