We have used Datasite VDRs for 8yrs now and have never had any major problems. The service team are extremely professional and solve any minor issues in minutes. We are very happy with Datasite as our VDR provider

Pros

The support desk, our account manager and the ease of use of the product all stand out as positives

Cons

Nothing of note. Any minor issues and usually resolved almost effortlessly

Good experience overall. Available support and once you've started acquiring experience with datasite it's hard to switch to another provider

Pros

Good interface, user friendly, fast functionnalities (folder creation for example)

Cons

Suggestions of folder when you upload a document is not accurate at all

Pros

Datasite is reliable, has an intuitive interface and has all the needed functionalities. We use it on deal after deal, and it always delivers. Clients are always happy as well. Some of my favorite functions include redactions, search, Q&A, bulk upload and download, access reports.

Cons

None - I'm very happy with Datasite. Can't complain.

Very easy and straigh forward. Reasonably priced, fantastic customer service.

Cons

Datasite is very user friendly and the value can't be beat. It's a critical tool in getting our deals done and efficiently transferring data between parties in a secure environment. Additionally, their customer support is quick to react and troubleshoot any questions we have.

Cons

There really isn't much to stay negatively about Datasite.

Good, would generally recommend as a good site for M&A deal due diligence.

Pros

Generally user friendly, good range of functions and AI redaction tool is very helpful, sandbox folder is helpful when learning how to navigate data room and preparing folders before publication.

Cons

Setting permissions for groups of users was not as easy to vary as some other data room sites used. Expensive in comparison to some other similar platforms.

More sophisticated than some other platforms which was necessary for the nature of the deal.

Very satisfactory and does exactly what I need it to do.

Pros

The platform is intuitive and easy to use throughout the life cycle of a transaction. Users throughout our business have been able to log in and upload information quickly and efficiently. The various options to restrict/open content to different users is very helpful as is the customer support which is seemingly available at all hours of the day.

Cons

Charges relating to 'Special Media' and what constitutes 'Special Media' could be clearer otherwise the experience has been positive throughout.

Pros

I use Datasite for a number of the deals I work on. I find the product extremely user friendly, easy to access, and helpful to find the materials I need. It is top of the market for this software.

Cons

Notifications could be a bit more rapid and clear as to when new documents are uploaded, although it's not any worse than peer products.

### "Good dataroom for due-diligence"

Pros

The data room was easy to use and we could redact the files in the data room after they were already uploaded. Having different access privileges was easy to set up and very handy. The system emails reports to all users notifying them of what has changed/been added to the data room which we found very useful.

Cons

The price per page is quite high so we had to ensure we were only adding the files that were most important.

Easy to use and intuitive. The redaction tool is easy to use as well. The Q&A tool is very useful.

Cons

The language cannot be changed directly. One needs to change the computer or google settings to change the language. The Q&A tool settings is not really straightforward.

### "Excellent data room provider"

Pros

Datasite is consistently excellent. Their platform is easy to use, intuitive, and customizable. Their customer support is top notch, and the optical character recognition has been incredibly useful for making documents searchable.

Cons

I have used Datasite many times, and it has always been a great experience. However, on the last project I worked on, it would default to the "Index" view of the data room which was not very helpful. I had to manually revert to a different view each time I visited the data room.
