### "Low value for such a high cost"

September 9, 2021

2.0

I would recommend going with another company. They aren't professional, they lie, and they don't provide great results for the cost.

Pros

Your job posts to a ton of websites. They had an awesome invite to apply feature which is the main reason we signed up and in our package it was included but one day they decided to make it ala carte.

Cons

We went from getting a ton of applicants because of invite to apply to next to none. The quality of applicants dropped a lot as well and most applicants were like we just clicked apply to every application we saw. They made invite to apply ala carte and at the already high fee of $400 per month to post. The salesman at ZipRecruiter told us we would have unlimited invite to apply's with our plan and it just randomly changed one month and we were getting next to no qualified leads for that price.

### "Great for job postings and searching for candidates! "

August 31, 2021

4.0

Very positive experience with ZipRecruiter in regards to applicants applying to our jobs and using the resume database to find great people for our Patient Access Center.

Pros

I like how many places the job postings are listed via ZipRecruiter which attracts a lot of qualified candidates. I also love using the resume database to search for additional qualified candidates for our jobs.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about ZipRecruiter in regards to the job postings or resume database. I do not use it as an Applicant Tracking System so I'm not sure what cons there may be for those that do.

Reason for choosing ZipRecruiter

I've used it at past employers and had a very positive experience so decided to move forward with it again.

### "Frustrating implementation and account setup for Greenhouse ATS users"

April 16, 2020

2.0

Overall experience with the system was extremely disappointing. I was unable to determine the effectiveness of the product due to all of the issues we encountered along the way.

Pros

I really enjoyed the resume search database. This was the only feature I was able to use without any problem. Unfortunately to due to the issues we encountered during account setup, we were not able to determine the actual effectiveness of this product as a recruiting tool.

Cons

My experience with the initial setup of our account and integration of ZipRecruiter with our ATS, Greenhouse, was extremely frustrating. We went through 3 different Account Managers in a 60 day period with 0 consistency of information with each new person. There were various issues we encountered with account setup and their ability to correctly scrape our jobs from our ATS. After starting this process in early May of 2019 we decided to part ways in mid to late August due to lagging issues with our account we just could not seem to receive a reasonable resolution for. Unfortunately due to all of the issues, we were never able to determine the effectiveness of the actual product. The platform has an algorithm that fine tunes its targeting of the "ideal" applicant based off your rating of applicants that apply. The more time you spend rating applicants the better targeting capabilities it supposedly has. The concept is great, however, for companies with a large hiring volume it becomes a time consuming feature to have to manage applicants in both an ATS and in ZipRecruiter.

### "The best tool to recruit the high callibre candidates."

July 22, 2019

5.0

I have gained much of the benefits from the whole recruiting procedure which had allowed me to gain more insights about the right candidates and connecting me with them. It allows me to filter the high caliber candidates in a more efficient way rather than the standard channels which only brings out the available individuals. It always led me towards making the right choices for me as well as for my company.

Pros

The overall effectiveness of this tool depends on whom and from which industry sector you are trying to hire the candidates. There are some productive results from few campaigns and quite low for the other ones. Well, it is quite easy to post the required position without any kind of struggle at all and within few minutes its starts infiltrating the appropriate candidates for you. The ads are most visually pleasing and attracts more audience with creative content lines. We can also filter the right candidate for us by targeting specific candidates, location, education and experience. It is great recruiting tool specifically for the recruiters allowing them to improve the efficiency of their work.

Cons

This tool brings itself some serious issues that requires the attention of the users and the management. The foremost thing that requires utmost improvement is their own customer support which always doesn't responds to us in more directly way. They always try to lure us with some hefty pricey plans which are not even required at all. There's also abundance of notifications and alerts that we have to sort out manually. The recruiting process is somehow simplified with this tool but it is mostly same like mailing approach and not anything much better.

### "A Candidate's Perspective"

November 9, 2021

5.0

I am so happy I found ZipRecruiter software program to make my job hunting experience less cumbersome. ZipRecruiter targets the right positions that fit my academic and professional background. Then, I have the opportunity to apply to matching roles with a simple stroke of a button. I highly recommend ZipRecruiter software program.

Pros

ZipRecruiter is an awesome software program from a candidate's personal job hunting experience. ZipRecruiter has simplified my job hunting experience. When I login to ZipRecruiter, the software is user friendly with clear directions. The ZipRecruiter software minimizes the prospective job details into a thumbnail box which includes the hiring company or recruiting firm's name, job title and a brief job description. I can tap the thumbnail to receive more detailed information. When I am interested in a role, I simply tap the "1-Tap Reply" button and boom, ZipRecruiter software directly apply to the position. ZipRecruiter software program stores my resume, professional experience and skillset in the software and my information is emailed directly to the hiring party. The most impressive lifesavers for me are the positions are current and only interested, actively searching companies are provided. Therefore, my time is freed up to focus on getting the right job opportunity.

Cons

ZipRecruiter can be improved by auto-filling applications directly into the hiring company's website when the company requires an online application. Lots of time would be saved if I could simply edit and sign the applications. Also, when applying to multiple leads at once, it is not clear which companies are receiving my resume. Lastly, it is great to receive motivating messages when the prospective company views my profile, however, once is enough. It's a letdown when I receive multiple encouraging notifications each time my resume is viewed, then no response from the hiring company afterwards.

### "ZipRecruiter Review "

July 26, 2021

5.0

Overall, my company and I have been using ZipRecruiter on a consistent basis. We find it to be extremely reliable, and also, we always use it for a learning tool, so even if we're not hiring at the time, we still search through candidates, and see what's happening on ZipRecruiter to keep up with market trends. I find ZipRecruiter to be a staple, and I plan to be using it for a long time to come.

Pros

I really like the resume management tool on ZipRecruiter, and how it seems like they might be integrating this into their databases search engines and SEO. I have both used Zip Recruiter to find jobs, and we use it a lot to hire independent contractors. Almost always, I end up hiring an independent contractor that has used the Zip Recruiter Resume tool.

Cons

The only thing that does bother me, that I can think of, is when looking for independent contract/freelance jobs, I expect that I will be receiving email alerts for the specified jobs I requested. I have trouble with the emails I'm being sent most of the time. They usually tend to be super generalized jobs, and a good %50 of the time none of the jobs offered in the emails sent to me have anything to do with what I've requested or searched for to be emailed to me. So this could be corrected.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing ZipRecruiter

I found ZipRecruiters' pricing to make more sense and be much more reasonable for the 'premium' services we were looking for. Linkedin was charging way too much just for a job posting and wasn't consistent like ZipRecruiter is.

Switched from

[Enterprise Suite](https://www.capterra.com/p/207188/Upwork/)

ZipRecruiter was more reliable with the candidates that were being sent to me. We hire a lot of independent freelance contractors on a per-project basis, and we needed to have a better database like ZipRecruiter to weed through what we didn't want before we were given the proper candidates. I like how we are able to have a more, sit back and it will be sent to us approach I'm able to have with ZipRecruiter, because it frees up my time to get a lot of other things done.

### "There's No Despute Zip Recruit Will Land You A Job In Less Than A Week. "

April 29, 2020

4.0

Overall I've gotten jobs within a week from Ziprecruiter that pays good money. I moved from NC to Maryland and I needed to find work and they solved that issue so quick I love zip recruiter and they helped me build a resume' with little experience. You can even download the resume' put it on other websites if you need to. I definately recommend this platform. I got like 7 jobs that called me back in less than a week! And I only put in 20 mins of work applying you cant beat that at all! Despite the scams it's really good to use. Just look up the companies on the Better Business Bureau and ask for their Employee ID # if it's a company you don't recognize or know. Simple gestures on your part can clearly override that part until they fix the Employers that can use there site. Total recommend overall.

Pros

I LOVE LOVE how easy it is to use. You can upload a resume' or create a profile on their system with ease. They have easy 1 click skills you can add to your resume' that makes you stand out. Even if you not that good with Resume's this platform will make you seem like you been doing them all your life. They have customized searching and geographic job searching you can even pick the mile radius on where your looking for work. So if I wanted a job with 5 miles of my home I can refine the search and BOOM it will only pull up jobs within a 5 mile radius. I absolutely LOVE that feature because I take care of my grandma and grandfather so I need to stay close by to the house. They require ALOT of my time so I dont have hours and hours to fill out applications. Zip Recruiter has taken that into account for you with 1-Click Applies. You just refine the search to 1-Click Applies only. And I'm telling you! I applies to like 30 jobs in less than 20 mins. It's so amazing. I mean like it's almost genius honestly. They automatically send your resume' to companies effortlessly. Some job require additional questions but they are quick and easy to do. And that's not all the companies respond to you quickly I'm talking same day sometimes. By the end of a week I'm trying t to choose which job I wanna pick which interviews to go to on. You can customize the type of jobs you want. It's like job applicator heaven. They send confirmation emails so you can keep track of where your applying.

Cons

The only drawback to this platform that I've experienced is some jobs are scams. Be weary of "Work From Home" jobs on here. Or any job that tells you to add them on What's app for an interview. I almost got scammed by one of them. I sell insurance so working from home isnt bad for me at all. It's almost plausible. But some companies aren't legit on this platform just be weary of it. Not all of them are like this. I've gotten job offers from great well known companies on this platform as well. They sent me a bad check but the bank caught it before I was able to place it into my account. Zip Recruiter should perform thorough in depth checks on the companies they enable to use their platform to ensure customers safety and peace of mind. They should ensure they have a Verfiable Employer # and have Acceptable an rating on BBB. That way customers can apply to jobs in confidence knowing each one is reputable and will benefit the applicant. Other than that I cant think of any drawbacks to using the platform at all.

### "Ziprecruiter is wonderful"

February 8, 2023

4.0

The overall experience with ZipRecrutier is good. I am not saying it is best because it doesn't have the good pool of cleared candidates but given the price range and features it offers, it is one of the best in segment.

Pros

One of the best things about this job board is that it is easy to use and the UI is responsive, minimal, and informative.

Cons

One of the things I don't like is fewer cleared candidates on the portal. If there was a good pool of cleared candidates, it would have been best.

### "ZipRecruiter Experience - The upper and lower sides"

January 18, 2022

Overall, it has been a good platform for job search. Response time has been very good and the matching tool for jobs is very well appreciated.

Pros

The main component I loved with ZipRecruiter is that it makes a good connection point and is feels great when you login and apply to occupations. It is cordial and furthermore proficient. Message included is incredible and it can assist you with saving a great deal of time,

Cons

Most jobs are in US with companies restricting applications to US terms.

### "Where is Candidates?"

September 9, 2021

4.0

I have mixed feelings about using ZipRecruiter. In spite of friendly software to use, it didn't deliver the candidates I was looking for. Therefore, I don't feel I get the value of money. On top of that, they decided to increase the price, so, unfortunately, we decided to cancel the service. Also, I had to initiate the contact most of the time because I had an issue to discuss.

Pros

Ziprecruiter is easy to use and has much functionality that is essential for rand. I hear commercials all the time. Therefore, it is more likely well known, so many job seekers use it, and more resumes I can search.

Cons

If your industry is in high demand and attracting candidates, I think Ziprecruiter is a good tool to post jobs and wait for candidates to apply. However, if you have to find candidates by sorting through resumes, despite setting up criteria, it is an expensive tool to use compared to others because it starts with limited resumes and starts paying more to get more.

### "Simple Online Recruiter Software to Use"

August 10, 2021

4.0

The business problems being solved here definitely are on a wide scale/spectrum. Employers wouldn't have to work as hard to find the employees that fit the qualifications they are seeking, and would pay a whole lot less with advertising than using this online software. The data collected will also be more manageable and easily at the fingertips for a business to retrieve and get in touch with the individual most suitable for the position they are offering. The job seeker, I am would be able to set and forget, that is put in all my necessary information necessary to finding employment, then wait for jobs to be sent for me to pick the most suitable one for me. The process is easy to manage for both parties, convenient and private.

Pros

I liked that the software can gather, store, organize large quantities of resumes quickly to obtain the efficiency of your skill set, keywords to identify you and set you apart for the appropriate job applied for. It also maximizes control and privacy of its audience using the staffing agency or other. The self service portal is convenient to access, sign up, saves the data and organizes, it sends the employers your way and you choose which most suits your need, sends alerts to your email or whatever form of contact chosen. It is easy to use and great assistance for the average business or job seeker. Being able to use it anytime online is a huge bonus.

Cons

With any type of technology or system software, there will be room for a bit of improvement. The access to be able to edit information could be a bit easier, and there are some associated fees connected to getting info posted on larger sites like Monster from Ziprecruiter.

### "Hands Down Best Job Board Out There"

January 10, 2022

5.0

I've been recruiting drivers for 10+ years now. I had it down to a science on when candidates were looking for jobs by the days of the week and times. I've used many other job boards before Zip Recruiter. I will never go back to those job boards and waste my money getting unqualified candidates again. Zip Recruiter is hands down the best Job Board out there and by a large margin. If you're not using Zip Recruiter for your hiring needs, you should ASAP.

Pros

Zip Recruiter gets you qualified candidates every time. Period. They post to multiple job boards for you outside of Zip Recruiter and you get what you pay for. Qualified candidates. You get assigned a Campaign Manager who works with you to get your job ad and location to where candidates are searching for them. You can create knock out questions on your ads so you don't get unqualified candidates applying which takes away valuable recruiting time. Being able to search for candidates is great too. The applicant tracking feature is also great as you can log all your activity with each applicant and make notes on your progress of hiring someone. This also helps your campaign manager see where they are at in fulfilling your hiring needs. I also like being able to rate candidates so I can hide the ones that I feel aren't a great fit or aren't qualified enough. Being able to pick and choose what kind of campaign you want to run is great too. If you want to get aggressive with your campaign, you can. If you want to scale it back for a bit, you can. You can boost ads to get more candidates and can also go with a standard campaign. The options are great.

Cons

I suppose the only con is that it is not cheap. When you run a campaign, you are given many options to the price best fits your needs. My industry is very competitive so I always campaign at a higher cost.

### "Easy Zip Recruiter Software"

April 23, 2022

5.0

With Zip Recruiter, I like the fact that when I post a job, it is also available on over 100 job sites. This offers more visibility for the posting and will possibly get the attention of the best candidates for the job.

Pros

What I liked most about Zip Recruiter is working with the Resume Database. This database is essential in helping to filter through thousands of resumes to find the ideal candidate I want to hire. I found the resume database extremely helpful, straight-forward and user friendly. When I offer likes or dislikes for candidates, Zip Recruiter technology gets a better understanding of the type of candidates I like and will send more candidates that suit my preferences. The resume database can quickly and easily expand your location search. The database easily lays out all of the criteria necessary to consider when selecting candidates for employment. I also like the feature with Zip Recruiter that there is always a support team available to offer assistance, if the need arises. There are many options to reach the support team, either by chat, e-mail or phone. I found that their search resume database is extremely efficient when selection details are entered into the respective candidate criteria fields. I can also use the resume database to see the candidates my company has already selected. Within the resume database, I am also able to filter through candidates by rating. This is a good feature which helps me to focus in on the best candidates for I would like to consider for hire. They have a huge network of job seekers to choose from.

Cons

Zip Recruiter offers a good opportunity for businesses to select from a wide range of candidates for open positions. However, it can be costly for a business that is only seeking to fill one job opening. In addition, the main type of jobs available on Zip Recruiter are either specialty positions, entry level jobs or manual labor.

### "Job Board review"

May 25, 2022

4.0

I love the site so far, it doesn't give me all the features that Indeed does but it's still a really good site that has some really great job postings even some are better than Indeed's job listings but it could use some improving

Pros

I love how they have really good jobs and more options sometimes than indeed. It gives me more info on the jobs I'm searching and applying to. I also love the quick apply option which makes it easier for me to apply to jobs when I really found an interest and didn't want to go online and complete a whole questionnaire on my employment. I love how it gives me the pay range, the title of the position and a brief description of the job as well.

Cons

I don't like how long it takes to hear updates from employers. It doesn't show the employers responsive rate like how indeed does and it doesn't let me know how many people applied to the positions listed.

Switched from

[Indeed for Employers](https://www.capterra.com/p/161381/Indeed/)

It gives me more insight of the jobs listed like how many people applied to the position and if the employers respond quickly to applicants' submissions or not. After all if I'm in need of a job I don't want to apply and it takes weeks or even months to hear back from an employer or not hear anything back at all. It's helpful to see if the employer checks their applicant submissions frequently or else the applicants will think they're not in a hurry to hire.

### "Easy to Use, Works Well"

August 13, 2021

4.0

ZipRecruiter is a recruitment platform that works. I do get a decent number of applicants and have hired a good amount through them. Posting is easy, applicant rating is easy, and staying organized within the platform is easy.

Pros

I use ZipRecruiter as one of two main platforms for recruiting. The website itself is pleasant to look at, which is important when you spend hours a week looking at it. The process of posting jobs is intuitive and easy. I like the already created screener questions and the ability to create my own. Another great feature is the "Compare Your Compensation" pop-up that shows where your salary range falls on the bell curve when compared to similar positions. I also like the ability to have candidate alerts sent to any or all of the hiring managers; this helps keep us all in the loop. The "Quickrate" feature for quickly reviewing applicants is GREAT and saves lots of time. The messaging system is adequate, no issues there.

Cons

The one major negative with ZipRecruiter is that there is no way to pause listings; you have to close the job completely. It's a pain to have to close the job entirely while I'm evaluating applicants. While the "Duplicate Job" process is easy, a "Pause" feature would be so useful. Another feature that is lacking is the benefits section. Indeed has an extremely robust pre-created benefits list and it's easy to go down the line and check off which ones we offer. ZipRecruiter has only a handful and no way to explain any others, other than in the job descriptions itself. I also dislike that ZipRecruiter sends job postings to it's boards and THEN has you edit screener questions. It would make more sense to do it all prior to the listing being active. I've had no luck at all with the resume database and don't see it as any benefit at all.

### "Great place for employers and employees."

August 16, 2022

5.0

Ziprecruiter made it so easy for me to make and post job posting for my company. The site even helped with setting up interviews and managing them, not to mention I was able to have video interviews right there on Ziprecuiter. Being able to navatigate the website with ease made it so simple to get done exactly what I got on to do.

Pros

My favorite part of ZipRecruiter has to be the ease of using the site. Each different part of the website is simple to use and easy to navigate. Search for jobs and applicant searches in just a few clicks makes it easy to use.

Cons

Now ZipRecruiter is a great site. But for some people searching for employment there, some said to have encountered a scam or two.

### "ZipRecruiter is a good tool, but could use some improvements."

August 18, 2022

3.0

ZipRecruiter does generate applicants, but we have had a harder actually getting to the interview stage mainly because we ask candidates to take an employment assessment and some applicants aren't willing to take that extra assessment.

Pros

It is very user friendly and quite simple to post listings and manage them.

Cons

We have reached out to candidates based on their resumes sometimes, and realize that they don't look at our listing and apply. Then when we contact them, and they have sometimes interviewed then withdrew their application because they looked at the listing and saw that the pay rate wasn't what they desired. Also we use employment assessments with our hiring process, and ZipRecruiter doesn't allow for an applicant to be redirected to the assessment site to take the assessment. Indeed, lets us redirect, which is very helpful. Also there isn't a way when you have multiple users on your account to only allow them to see applications for a specific position only and not the others, which has caused different departments to contact applicants who applied for a position in a different department.

### "Excellent Program"

July 2, 2020

5.0

My overall experience with Ziprecruiter is positive and I would recommend it to others!

Pros

I enjoy ZipRecruiter because it allows an easy application process once you are an account holder. The 1-click apply is very easy to use and only in certain cases are there additional follow up questions. This platform is super efficient time wise and allows me an absurd amount of different job opportunities. I recommend this program in comparison to others like Indeed and UpWork considering the price of using this program is so far in my experience nothing. The profile is easy to set up, and in cases where I have applied to a job I have received an email or phone call from the company within hours.

Cons

Though there are few I would love to see more versatility in the "Job suggestions" area of the program. When you apply for a job or search a certain careers the suggestions seem to be very consistent and don't tend to range. For example when I searched a "Customer Service" position I found so many suggested jobs in just this specific field, so from then on I started just having to key in words to search for job opportunities. Another feature I would love to see incorporated is a feature allowing a "remote" job suggestion filter when searching for positions. Considering most are searching for remote positions now amid a pandemic I think this feature would be useful. Another feature I would like to see tweaked, though this could be in the settings and just merely user error, is the option to avoid those repetitive emails when you apply for a job. My inbox is basically spammed with a nonsense email telling me I have applied to a job which when I apply for multiple positions it sort of clouds my inbox.

### "Good but not Great"

June 12, 2019

4.0

I've stopped using ZipRecruiter do to Customer Service related issues. I was offered a lifetime discount and so many resume views per month upon signing up and then a year later was told that they were no longer honoring their initial offer and I should never have been offered that in the first place. That was it for me, I had a generally positive experience with them, but I can't pay money to a company that doesn' t keep their word, and they didn't care about keeping me as a customer either. No apologies or another form of compensation was offered, just a simple shouldn't have happened, sorry about your luck (without the sorry). So, I took my business elsewhere.

Pros

ZipRecruiter is a good product, but it also depends on who you are trying to hire. Some industries get a better response rate than others. I like the overall quality of applicants. It's easy to use the self-explanatory system. You generally start receiving applications within seconds of posting jobs, if it's in the category that does well with their audience.

Cons

Their system algorithm is a bit off; I will get a candidate they recommend to me that either doesn't have the right experience at all or has terrible job tenure but will have a "High" rating. I understand that they are not a deciding factor based on Job Tenure, but anyone who is a hiring manager knows that job tenure is significant. Another thing I didn't like about using ZipRecruiter is they recommend your jobs based on specific information that sometimes isn't' allowed to be shared upfront, like salary or client name and based on this you get a lower view rates and lower recommendations. It should be based solely on credentials of candidates applying that jobs are recommended too, NOT based on those things. Another thing I didn't like about ZipRecruiter is that locations have to be exact; you were able to post as a "work from home" or "remote" opportunities in the location option. They did have a tag for it, but then you couldn't specify industry because you had to tag it as remote and not say "healthcare."

### "If You're Looking For A Job, This App Is a MUST-HAVE!"

January 3, 2024

4.0

Overall, I really enjoy using ZipRecruiter. I use it several times a week to stay on top of what's available on the job market. The "1-Tap Apply" button is an awesome feature which makes the application process super easy! I found my last job using ZipRecruiter and I continue to use it and recommend it to others.

Pros

I love that ZipRecruiter lets me narrow down my search via zip code. I am able to find jobs in my immediate area to avoid long commutes, and that's a big deal for me!

Cons

I sometimes get emailed alerts about jobs I am not interested in. It's ok. Software is not perfect.

Indeed is a little too general with the locations. I prefer to search via zip code and ZipRecruiter allows me to do that.

### "ZipRecruiter has excellent algorithms to help you find good candidates, but you will pay for it"

June 7, 2021

4.0

This did speed up our hiring process as I could discount more candidates faster with ZipRecruiter finding problems on their resumes so we didn't have to spend so much time with subpar candidates.

Pros

ZipRecruiter has a friendly and easy-to-use interface that is highly intuitive. The notifications that come in are easily configured and work well to help you set up searches and review results.

Cons

The pricing and sales process are the real knocks against ZipRecruiter. Small businesses do not need a saas solution to keep their hiring going so using Zip is impractical for that audience. They need a really good self-serve option.

Reason for choosing ZipRecruiter

I liked the idea of algorithms helping clear the noise of far too many applicants coming in for some roles.

### "Real Person Real Review"

This does the job at helping me staff. I couldn't ask for a better system to use, especially with my busy schedule.

Pros

This is one of the better recruiting sites I utilize. The process is quick and painless, and I don't have to search all over for the information I need. It's all compiled for me and sits there until I update the status for each person based on my selection.

Cons

I don't have any!! I love Zip Recruiter!
