### "ZipRecruiter is Fantastic for Job Seekers"

July 30, 2025

5.0

Overall, is a good source for job searching. As an HR professional, I have obtained valuable information regarding trending marketing, benefits, and overall compensation in the Atlanta region.

Pros

Email communications, ease of use, recruitment processes and fantastic job leads. I enjoy receiving emails comparing my skills and experience to those of the Job Description, letting me know if I would be a good fit early on.

Cons

Some positions are not vetted properly and scam artists manage to infiltrate leading to security issues, or a waste of time thinking it was a good job opportunity before identifying JD as a scam.

Monster.com was not providing the skillset I sought for my open positions. As a job seeker, I had very little success in finding positions with my own skillset or compensation desired.

### "Amazing and Trustworthy"

April 19, 2026

5.0

Overall great experience, able to mange my profile easily and connect with different companies with ease

Pros

Lots of Recruiters, easiness to apply online, virtual contacts with companies, ability to upload the certifications and other documents

Cons

Recruiters use other platforms too, making it hard to apply on any one platform. Filter options should be more.

### "ZipRecruiter is AMAZING for job seekers and job post exposure but is not without it's flaws!"

September 25, 2025

3.0

It is overall easy to use, the customer support seems to be automated but it very helpful and suggests jobs to people based on type of jobs they are looking for which is helpful. Has great exposure for your job posting even weeks later, just needs to take into consideration the persons actual qualifications.

Pros

I like that it suggests jobs to job seekers. The way sends daily emails that compile a list of jobs that not only is tailored to the types of jobs people are looking for (office, warehouse, retail, trades in our case etc.) but also jobs that may have been open awhile not just job posts that are from today etc. Even a week or two into having a job posted on there, I have had candidates reach out saying they say the job suggested to them in their daily email by the virtual job assistant. Indeed has different tiers of "sponsorship" for jobs in which your job post may only be really boosted and suggested when it is fresh. Zip is always promoting your job! The value for your money is obvious with how long your job is getting exposure to the public.

Cons

Compared to Indeed that takes a candidates resume on file or skills and experience inputted into the site-then suggests jobs to them or let's them know you may be a good fit or you are lacking the qualifications or background for this.... suggests jobs to people based on jobs they have searched for but may be extremely underqualified for. I have not hired one person in the past 4 years off of ZipRecruiter because I am looking for Plumbers and Drain Cleaners or Water Damage technicians and all I get is applications from waitresses, pizza makers, retail but no one with relevant hands on experience like HVAC, Plumbing, Construction, Contractor, Landscaping, Handyman etc. I don't know if they use an algorithm but if they do it is way off.

Alternatives considered

[Indeed for Employers](https://www.capterra.com/p/161381/Indeed/)

Reason for choosing ZipRecruiter

I use both because they are opposites when it comes to what they are good for and bad for. Zip is great for exposure and promotion of your job post but Indeed is the one that actually gets you relevant people applying.

### "Developing our business sales team."

March 26, 2026

4.0

To create a powerful sales team that is aggressive is my ultimate goal as a Commercial Director. I apply this to speed up our hiring process and screen resumes. It offers unbelievable potential in talent search, yet the very process of onboarding and employee management in the long term demands a completely new software solution.

Pros

The convenience in terms of the recruitment process is unbelievable and within no time we are able to get skilled B2B sales persons in our new ceramic and concrete divisions with automated email communication.

Cons

Its violent subscription rates do not give good value to a mid-size, 50-people manufacturer, and the customer service is not always helpful when we require customization of the system to do a niche glass industry job posting or built in personnel management software.

### "Dan Clements - ZipRecruiter review"

May 25, 2026

4.0

Pros

The ability to add screening questions to job posts helps a great deal with fine tuning the job posting and making sure that the candidates fit the qualifications.

Cons

works well for some job postings but it seems that some professional level jobs don't have quite as many job seekers utilizing the platform. If you go on google and just type in the job you are searching for such as "RN jobs in Pennsylvania" or "Manager jobs in Pennsylvania" ZipRecruiter isn't prominently shown as much as other platforms.

### "Extremely disappointed with Ziprecruiter"

January 8, 2026

1.0

After the first billing cycle, I believed I had canceled the service, yet charges continued for several cycles (5 in total). While I accept responsibility for not catching this sooner, refused to refund the most recent charge simply because I viewed two candidates—even though I have not been on their platform for months. For the price, the results and customer support did not meet expectations. Indeed has provided significantly better engagement at a much lower cost. I would not recommend ZipRecruiter to other business owners.

Pros

was easy to set up and get job listed quickly. Beyond that, not the best resource for gym owners.

Cons

Extremely disappointed with . As a business gym owner, the return on investment was very poor. Over two months, the platform produced only nine candidates despite the premium cost.

My overall experience has been positive. As a small business we utilized the Zip Recruiter several times when other ways of finding quality applicants was not effective.

Pros

Email communication, data management, employee management, ease of use, customer support, recruitment process

Cons

Overall The biggest con of zip recruiter is the cost. Especially in a small private owned business and hospital.

### "ZipRecruiter review"

My overall experience with is a good experience it has matched up the company with some qualified individuals.

Pros

What I liked about is when you posted a job listing you could get highly qualified individuals for the job you have posted.

Cons

What I liked about the least of zipper recruiter is the is rather High and you still have applications from people that are not qualified which kind of takes up some of your time to weed through that.

### "Our To Go for Job Postings"

February 19, 2025

5.0

When posting jobs on , having a wide selection of candidates we can sort through and pick the most qualified is wonderful.

Pros

makes job postings very easy and quick. It is a great tool for getting job postings in our local area.

Cons

The membership fees are somewhat high for a smaller company like ours, but in today's market, we have very few options on where to post to get to the greatest number of applicants.

Alternatives considered

[Monster+](https://www.capterra.com/p/48951/Monster-TMS/)

Reason for choosing ZipRecruiter

Ultimately our decision to go with came down to the amount of users and advertising the company did that made it more well-known to users searching for job openings.

Cuts my time in half with their easy apply option. Although they send to much email it overall is a great place to visit if you're looking for a job.

Pros

There is a good variety of jobs. Let's me save my resume to the platform so that I can quickly and easily apply for a job with my qualifications and submit my resume. It comes with filter so I can narrow down specific the job or field I am looking for.

Cons

They send way to much email. My email gets flooded. I spend a lot of time deleting all their email and it seems like it never end

### "Job search app "

March 8, 2026

5.0

Overall experience of zip I love how you can customize things on there and customer support is great

Pros

like because it makes finding jobs easier It shows me job recommendations that match my skills and allows me to apply quickly with just one click I also like that it sends alerts when new jobs are posted and lets employers find my resume This makes the job search faster and more convenient

Cons

One thing I dislike about is that it sometimes sends too many job alerts and emails Some job recommendations do not match my skills or location and occasionally job listings may be outdated or low quality Also when I apply for jobs there is no guarantee that employers will respond

### "It's okay and quick, but not always helpful"

May 12, 2025

3.0

It is much like Glassdoor and Indeed. It makes it easy to find candidates; however, it does not filter candidates very well.

Pros

It is easy to use. The talk through features are okay. It is also similar to other job platforms, so the learning curve is short.

Cons

Does not require very specific information. Requiring specific information would get better candidates. As a candidate, I would like to have mulitiple resumes available to choose from .

### "Love ZipRecruiter "

December 9, 2025

5.0

My overall experience using has been great so far. It's been so helpful with finding new staff. The customer service is amazing, \[sensitive content hidden\] is great and always answers all my questions timely. I love Zip

Pros

What I like most about is how many options it gives you to reach candidates. I love the ZipIntro session options because it's so fast and easy. And I also love the Invite to Apply option and how fast it will refresh with new candidates.

Cons

The only thing I don't like on is the location range is just a large bubble, it should be more customizable. It would be nice to type in specific town areas and have those come up rather than so far away like 100+ miles

Overall, aside from having to be cautious, my experience is positive as being able to find employment to provide for my family is a must and does just that, helps you to find employment with your shift preferences.

Pros

What I like most about is the ability to search for employment within a certain area. I like to be able to put my preferences and this is perfect for that!

Cons

What I dislike is, at first, it was hard to understand how it worked. You still need to be careful for those fake ads.

Overall, is an effective recruiting tool that streamlines the hiring process and offers strong reach, making it a solid choice for employers looking to fill positions efficiently.

Pros

One of 's standout features is its candidate-matching technology! This technology helps surface applicants who closely align with the job requirements. The dashboard is clean and really easy to use and navigate.

Cons

Unfortunately, the thing we as a company like least about may have to be the pricing. We are a small family owned company and sometimes it gets to be a little bit more expensive for what we are needing.
