### "All In with TheraNest "

Our office was using one company for scheduling patients and patient notification (text messaging); one company for billing; and one company for notes which resulted in huge opportunities for human error; the specific needs of our office were not addressed with any one company. addresses most of our office needs in one integrated program. Scheduling, appointment notifications, progress notes, billing, and ERA (eventually). I previewed the ERA and it looks like it will efficiently apply payments to billed services. I am very satisfied with TheraNest and strongly recommend it for other Behavioral Health providers.

Pros

Imported years of data from another system into with no errors and very limited time commitment. Their customer support was very helpful and honest about the transition. TheraNest is full featured- Our office used a competitor program for 30+ years but wanted/needed a cloud based state of the art EHR program- Our office tried several other popular programs but they all had significant limitations. We are very excited about Theranest. Our Office is new to the program but so far so good. The customer support is excellent. They are adding features frequently, including specific features requested by users. The start up learning curve is doable and our staff picked it up in a few days versus weeks. The scheduling, pt. appointment notifications, calendar, and agenda are well thought out and fully integrated. The initial intake note and progress notes took some getting used too but they work very well- DX codes are easily entered and updated. The progress notes are very professional and signed and cosigned if necessary. I know this sounds like a paid advertisement but I have spent a lot of time, money and effort trying other programs and I was never more encouraged than with Theranest. Our goal was to be fully functional with the transition from our current system to Theranest by January 2019. We are ahead of schedule and our intention is to bill our first full month of receivables for November 2018.

Cons

The fees were initially off putting. But after becoming familiar with , I see the potential for a very efficient, time saving, integrated system that is well worth the monthly investment. There is also flexibility with monthly billing based upon caseload (increasing or decreasing at discretion of the user) and it seems fair.

Overall, this product makes my life much easier. I spend significantly less time on administrative tasks thanks to its ease of use and intuitive design.

Pros

Easy to use and well organized, this platform makes navigation simple and intuitive. The task-specific links are especially helpful, allowing you to quickly access exactly what you need without wasting time searching. The calendar features are practical and streamline scheduling, while the notes section is clean and simplified, making it easy to capture and review important information.

Cons

That said, the invoicing functionality could be improved by offering more flexible time frame options to better accommodate different billing needs.

Up until the recent change in what appears to be scheduling, I thought it was great. This change was unnecessary, the tutorial is extremely useless, and it is causing a delay in writing progress notes & scheduling clients. The old way was fine.

Pros

The quality of the AI is great, my written notes are more sophisticated. I use to like the ease of scheduling but that has diminished with the recent changes.

Cons

the recent "abrupt" change in scheduling, it is counter intuitive, not user friendly for the clinician, overly complicated.

Overall, I enjoy using . It’s simple and easy to use, and it helps keep my work organized and efficient.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. Scheduling appointments is simple, and I can make changes to my schedule without any hassle. I also like the AI note feature because it helps me write notes faster and saves a lot of time.

Cons

The AI note feature is not available for the initial assessment, and it would be helpful if it could be added there as well. I also prefer having the “Reminder Log” as its own tab rather than being part of a drop-down menu, which would make it easier and quicker to access.

Pros

I really like because it is easy to use for me and my clients. We just enjoy its accessibility on our phones. It is also cost effective.

There is not much that I dislike about it but as most online applications sometimes there can be a glitch or runs a little slower on an off day

It was decent. They have superb customer service. I really liked how attentive they are to your needs and are very open to making sure your issues are resolved.

Pros

Uploading documents into client's charts was a breeze. It made it easy for my staff and I to review charts electronically. The calendar feature is very user-friendly.

Cons

It was very difficult to figure out how to co-sign on my staff notes. I needed this function and found it hard to set up. Setting up each staff person was a little difficult.

I have been using for ten years. It didn't take very long to become accustomed to using it correctly. There was a learning curve, but I would say it was relatively short, making it easy to use in the first few weeks.

Pros

I am an independent contractor, so I don't have anything to do with billing, insurance, or staff and workflow. As a therapist, I think is easy to use and is clear how to schedule appointments, change appointments, and create and write my notes.

Cons

The treatment plans are not clear regarding target dates and whether to sign the plan when it is created or when it is completed. I have had to experiment to discover which way seems to work and found out it is okay to sign the plan when it is created.

As a trainee, I initially felt nervous about having to learn and navigate a new system. However, was so easy to understand that I quickly became comfortable using it and completely forgot it had been a concern in the first place.

Pros

The platform is easy to navigate and makes it simple to organize my timeslots. I also appreciate that whenever there is an update, I receive clear notifications explaining the changes and how they are intended to improve workflow, work quality, and time management.

Cons

Sometimes the system glitches and schedules multiple slots. This has happened to me several times when I schedule recurring sessions for my clients across days or weeks. The appointments don’t always save correctly, and I end up having to enter them manually afterward. I also find the new billing system less efficient than the previous one. Before, the process was more straightforward. Now having to navigate to a separate page each time I charge a client feels unnecessary, especially compared to how easily it worked before.

Very occasionally there can be minor issues with telehealth sessions. At times the video quality can be inconsistent, or a client may have difficulty entering the session, though this doesn’t happen often.

I appreciate the user friendly format on , as well as the ability to communicate easily with several people simultaneously. I am especially fond of the appointments and features.

Cons

Honestly, it's hard to think of a con for . I guess the only thing that makes me stumble is when the page setup changes; it takes me a bit to assimilate. But that is more user deficiency on my part.

has been working for me most of the time. I have had issues with not being able to speak with anyone over the phone to address an ongoing issue I have with dating assessments for clients and dating the assessment document accurately as well as addressing Medicaid client requirements and documentation.

Pros

It is easy to setup and had most of the documents that I use already created.

Cons

I cannot change the intake date so that I date my initial assessment document accurately and not date it for the day the client is entered into the system. The initial assessment form also cannot be duplicated.

I have worked with several programs over the last 25 years, and this program is by far the worst. In this day and age, program updates should be a positive move forward, not backward.

Pros

Do not like really anything about this program. If I could give it zero star on this site I would. Not worth the money.

Cons

Documents disappearing after saved in file, appointments disappear for no reason therefore our counselors have to save hardcopy since we can't trust this program. Any update causes more work for the company having to re-enter previous information save. When cancelling an appointment, the new update created extra steps to be taken in order to cancel it out. A biller at --proven by report ran--deleted all Blue Cross insurance information and when I filed a complaint along with supporting document---we never heard anything back. Company will try to save face by sending gaslighting messages that customer should have done this or that.

Rapid decline. Over the past two years, with the constant changes that are unrelated to what I as a provider truly need or deem valuable, I am now actively looking to migrate to a new platform. I tolerated some decline because a large part of my work was slowed but not entirely interrupted by their changes. Currently, the changes are so disruptive that I am now willing to deal with the burden of migrating my whole system.

Pros

7 years ago, was very user friendly, good overall user experience and extremely responsive and personal customer service. When an issue arose, I was actually speaking with a person and often would get the same person for the next issue, which was great for rapport. None of this is true now or for the last 2 years. It has declined immeasurably and I have seen them upset their users over and over again with changes that are unrelated and unwanted for the providers utilizing their system. Customer service is highly automated and dead-end. Price increases have been consistent.

Cons

Over the course of 7 years the service has declined, such that the customer service is no longer personal and live, but highly automated and lacking accountability or resolutions for very basic tech issues. Changes are rolled out often that are not regularly supported by providers nor are they communicated with advance notice. Currently, they have rolled out a systematic change with the transfer to Ensora and providers are fully unclear about what this means in terms of data usage and privacy re: AI integrations, options to opt out of unneeded services, price changes, note taking, and other ethical and clinical related issues. Their current responses are dismissive, uncaring, and blanket statements. It's a completely different company and experience from 5-7 years ago;

My overall experience is a 10 out of 10. Some of my collleagues chose another platform, but I liked so much that I stayed with this platform

Pros

I live very much. I has all of he functionlality that I need to manage a successful private practice. The reporting system and the ach payment functions are outstandinding. Techical support is outstanding with a rich knowoedge base, online chat and voice to voice support make problem resolution easy and seamless.

Cons

I don't really have anything really here. It is dissappointing when there is a system problem - but these seem to be resolved quickly.

Over all it is good. We had an issues 2 weeks ago, that was time sensitive and we could not get the issue fixed until a week later. That was unacceptable. One of our receptionist entered the wrong amount for a copay and instead of charging the client $27.08 they were charged $2708.00. This charge went to a credit card thankfully and not their back account. When we were made aware of the mistake the next day, we could not return the payment due to having a cap set at $1000.00. This took 2 different people and 5 days later to fix. The client had to dispute the charge through the credit company to get this removed. This should never have gotten to that point. We should have been able to return this amount the follow day. (2 days at the most)

Pros

I like the way it is set up and you have everything you need for that client in one spot.

Cons

You are limited to space in some areas and not able to highlight certain things in the note section, or make them bold. So they will stand out.

I started with my clients plus when it was in its infancy stage and now it is a part of . The packaging and options and software availability is super easy to use. What I like most of all is the customer service. The customer service is outstanding and always very personal.

Cons

Sometimes change is hard and changing is what I like least about fairness but it is always for the best.

I do not like how this program does not automatically save my work. If I am not saving notes/assessments (short and or long documents) periodically and there is an issue with or the internet connection, all is lost, and I need to start over. This creates more work for me and demands more of my time.

Pros

It’s easy to quickly log into the app. The calendar comes in really handy, I can easily look back at previous or future activities and that helps me make quick plans or even change decisions fast, plus I can make notes which can also be edited.

Cons

The frequent updates is terrible, at first we taught it was because they just changed name but it’s too frequent and when this update is done, it seems something has changed, we have lost some documents or can’t seem to find it because of these updates.

Pros

What I like most about is the simplicity and functionality. I love that TheraNest actively implements user feedback to enhance my experience. Having a chat feature where I can connect with a representative is very efficient.

Cons

I would like more multiple choice features when it comes to filling out a MSE or a progress note. I would like the feature to print a progress note without a treatment plan attached, I would like to have the option to redact information before printing, and I would like for the little note icon on the calendars weekly page to be a different color when I sign a note as opposed to not signing the note.

I love it. It has mostly everything that is needed to get the job done.

Pros

It's user friendly for the providers and clients.

Cons

When I need help it will not allow me to chat. It takes my information and I have to wait for a response via email. I am unable to use the ERA auto post function because it does not work with the payer. I am unable to use 270 / 275 function.
