I have been using this CRM from last 3 years for one of our lead generation project. Initially, it took time to customize, with the help of developer we customize this as per our requirement. And after that till date, we never faced any major issues.

Pros

This is one of the best CRM that works well with QuickBooks. You can take the help of your in-house developers or the support team to customize the CRM based on your requirement. They have an excellent support team to resolve any minor issues that you face during customization. They provide a wide range of features with great navigation. You can customize and create multiple reports as per requirement. Overall a great CRM tool I would recommend to all.

Cons

Though customization is one of its great features still you need some good developer to do this. You can take the help of their team to customize for you but again it's very expensive.

Overall, Method has helped us streamline operations, improve visibility across departments, and maintain accurate synchronization with QuickBooks Desktop while still allowing complete flexibility where needed.

Pros

We use Method as our CRM because it integrates properly with QuickBooks Desktop, which was a major requirement for our business. Unlike many CRM systems that offer only limited syncing, Method gives us a reliable connection between our customer management and accounting processes. What makes the platform especially valuable is its flexibility. Anything that doesn’t sync out of the box can be fully customized and mapped by the Method technicians to fit exactly how your business operates. That level of customization has made a huge difference for us because our workflows are not standard, and we needed a system that could adapt instead of forcing us into rigid processes. The Method team has been excellent to work with throughout setup and customization. They took the time to understand our needs and tailored the CRM around them, making the whole system feel purpose-built for our company.

Cons

One downside we’ve experienced is the search functionality. The search bar is very sensitive to small misspellings, spacing issues, or missed punctuation, which can make finding records frustrating at times. A more forgiving or predictive search feature would greatly improve usability and efficiency.

I asked for a refund before any work began and my rep, \[sensitive content hidden\], stopped responding. After multiple attempts I had to email a general inbox just to get reassigned to \[sensitive content hidden\]. Then their team lead, \[sensitive content hidden\], got involved and offered no solution beyond quoting policy. Method refused to refund a deposit for customization work never executed. Be careful—what they sell and what you get are very different.

Pros

The promise of customization, but it required unnecessarily lengthy hand-holding, bids for work, and as soon as I asked for a refund, a complete lack of communication.

Cons

Sold on “easy customization,” got the opposite. The process is unnecessarily complex, costly, and nothing like what was promised.

Our overall experience has been positive, it's customized to our processes and easy to use. We are able to find previous projects easier and all data is organized.

Pros

The ability to be able to make custom project entries and how easy it was to get it done with their customer support.

Cons

Its missing a kanban feature, for us to track project status and do kick off meeting. The estimates can only be viewed entering the portal, some of our customers do not want to use another portal and prefer an attachment.

Fairly Easy to navigate Fair Value for the most part Customer Support Performance and Speed is good (App is slow though)

Pros

I really enjoy how this helps me organize estimates, invoices, and customer payment option. Running a business is a lot to remember so logging me every day showing me estimates I've sent out makes it easy to touch base with customers and make sure no one goes forgotten.

Cons

Not much, the setting up was real easy with customer service and the fact you can customize everything to your day to day makes it easy.

At the start, we did the trial. It was a little overwhelming to edit screens and logic. Our company then tried another 4 CRMs. Finding those had limitations, we decided to try Method again. Once we understood the possibilities, we were hooked. Additionally, having a personal customizer is helpful once help is needed. Also, the chat desk system has proven to be surprisingly responsive. Just yesterday I had a programming question and sent an email to our customizer. With a simple reply, I was able to see what I needed to change for the logic to work. Impressive customer service,

Method has proven to be very useful with our complex workflow. Developing apps and screens that relate to our business specifically has given use more direct resolutions than other CRM software that we subscribed to preciously. The ability to customize yourself is an incredible feature. Then, once we get stuck or need help, having a customizer helps with the more complex logic.

Cons

More samples of how screens and apps can look after customizing would be more helpful. The help center is great, however additional screen shots and videos of the software being pushed to the limits.

Great - The onboarding process and continuing support was great. They got me up and running quickly. Ongoing help and support has been great.

Pros

1\. Reporting abilities are a big step above what I could get out of QuickBooks. It is the real reason I signed up. It saves me at least a months work each year. 2. Training and technical help customizing the reports was great. 3. Ability to give access to the invoice process to other employees without having to give access to QuickBooks.

Complex report customization - definatly needed help and I have a programming background. Very complxe underlying language.

### "Not a good fit for our organization"

It looked like it had potential when we were switching from the free CiviCRM through our Wordpress website. But because of the bad experience of trying to customize it and have the same tracking ability as CiviCRM, I basically wasted 6-months fooling around with it. I compromised for a year and used a supplemental spreadsheet or two to track what I needed and that didn't work out too well. So we switched to a different CRM now that is a better fit for us.

Pros

I liked the low cost and the clean interface that all looked much nicer than what we had been using. I really liked how tightly it could integrate with QuickBooks Online which saved us a lot of time!

Cons

I had the hardest time importing our data from another database and the one hour support, was barely enough time to get anywhere. When I attempted to create custom fields for our donors, I found it very overwhelming and didn't have the time to invest in the training videos.

### "Game changer"

They are great. Eric was our personal designer. He was able to come up with creative solutions to meet our exact needs.

Pros

It pull all the info needed from Quickbooks, and gives our customers an easy way to submit repairs, approve repairs and pay for repairs.

Cons

It was more on our end. Our system had a few issues sinking up to Method. But Method was there to help troubleshoot and solve that issue.

### "At least it syncs with Quickbooks Desktop..."

We have struggled to implement it - if we didn't \*need\* it to sync with QuickBooks Desktop, we would be using HubSpot or just about anything besides Method.

Pros

It's built on QBD, a feature that's rare for CRMs. It has a number of helpful modules and you pay for the modules you need.

Cons

Poor customer service. Emails unanswered, meetings not attended or often rescheduled, attempts to receive help often rebuffed with "pay us more money to develop it for you"... Lack of features, buggy challenging back end, not as functional as competing CRMs.

So many features which mesh well with all aspects of the job of an area sales manager, including sales, estimates, and other inquiries.

I can say I have had issues with lagging, but I attribute this to weak LTE signal rather than anything to do with Method.

### "Lacking in Customer Support"

My experience with has become less helpful as the days, months and years pass. On Giving Tuesday, the biggest day for Global giving, my donation page doesn't work and Method takes 3 hours to tell me that they can't fix it until I upgrade to a professional PayPal account. A donor told me that the donation page was down. December 31, last best day to reach out to donors. I get a notice that there was an error in my campaign email and no one at Method can tell me what the problem is. A case file is created and 6 days later I haven't heard from them. When I follow-up, they tell me that there was a mistake, they thought that the problem was resolved. No communication with me to confirm. They promise to get back to me. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, it's suggested that I speak to my sales support person where I need to make an appointment. Wow, what more can I say.

Pros

I like the ability to create email campaigns and include videos and pictures.

Cons

Support for addressing problems with the process of irregularities is dizzing. I have spent so much time in run-around with speaking with different people and getting different answers. Most inexperienced support staff have a set answer to each problem which is ... what you want to do will take a special template creation which will cost you $125 per hour with our development staff.

### "Better options out there"

Pros

I signed up for Method because of the two-way QBO sync and the option to customize everything about the software.

Cons

After four months, I'm still doing invoices and payroll manually. The app has no offline functionality and it quits sporadically, losing data every week. My employees hate it and instead of using it, they are keeping track of their time on their phones and taking admin time to track time retroactively. While my support contact is speedy with replies, almost every answer is "it can be customized to do that." Customization is $145 an hour, with a waiting list, or you should have a dedicated person on your team just for customizing. It's clunky, glitchy, and expensive. I wish I had experience with the two-way QBO sync, but after four months of waiting, I have to jump ship. I wish had never signed up for this software as it has been a huge headache for my business.

### "This Could be Perfect...."

I can set reminders that actually work with Method. We have been able to set up cases for issues with deliveries, shortages, and materials. Then we can follow the process of a customer return or an issue that needs to be resolved more easily.

Pros

I love the integration with Outlook. I love the ability to keep a record of each activity and opportunities. Being able to customize things has been great for our company.

Cons

This is a great product, except it does not have a place on a customer to make notes specific to a person or to save files. Each company has a price sheet. I can only attach things to activities. I cannot go through every activity to find customer specific files. Please add a feature to pin files or attach files to a contact. A place for contact specific notes would be awesome too! There is also not an easy way to go back to an opportunity from an activity. You can click to go to the Estimate when an activity is on the Estimate, so why would it not work that way for an Opportunity?

Pros

Customization. Syncs with Quickbooks Enterprise. Cloud Hosted. Variety of User Permissions. Open API. We were able to call a Method staff member to help set-up customization.

Cons

Contact-Based vs Account-Based. If you're not a developer, this software customization can be overwhelming. The product support is great but, they charge by the hour for customization.

Pros

The best thing about MethodCRM is that changing one line of a client profile makes the change universal, which helps when looking at past purchases, billing statements, etc. It also syncs to Quickbooks, which is important for the billing aspect of our business.

Cons

The user-facing design is from the Dawn of the Internet. Customer support is severely lacking; every time we reach out, we are met with exasperation and are told our problems are "user error"-- even when the issue is a customization issue, and nothing we could have done would have fixed it. I know the point of UX is to make an app look and act less like a bunch of code, but MethodCRM doesn't quite get there. Overall, it's a powerful CRM, but don't use it unless your team is already tech-savvy.
