Pros

It is easy to use when we have access to internet service and this is sometimes difficult on the road in an ambulatory setting but it is great with multiple users making changes to the records without causing problems.

Cons

The training was very poor and difficult to apply our equine practice needs to this program due to its small animal focus.

### "Sorry we chose to switch to this operating system"

The transition was a nightmare to say the least but I get that, would happen with any transition, our reminders were set up incorrectly and it took us a year to catch up because when you make changes it only changes going forward, customer support is through chat and sometimes they just don't understand what we need.

Pros

Not much I like about this system. It has been around long enough that most of the "bugs" should have been worked out and any changes should be fine tuning. There are some real problems with this program and the people writing the program have clearly never used in a practice setting.

Cons

The reports, converting treatment plans to actual charges, inventory difficulties, not having an alert when a presciption label is going to print an expired date, not able to put in different discounts for different items for employees, not being able to have a large computer screen in our treatment area that does not time out...

Seemed to have the features we wanted and financially a better choice. Honestly it is difficult to tell if a program is going to work well until you actually use on a daily basis.

### "Great software, but has some quirks"

I like the ease of use, as well as how customizable it is. I also appreciate that it can keep up with our high volume clinic.

Cons

The patient/client search needs some work. Also, the invoicing/check out screen could benefit from some updating.

### "Pulse user with concerns "

We are extremely unhappy with the lack of answers we get from tech support. We are often surprised by the basic functions this program lacks.

Pros

Search feature for clients , services and inventory works very wll

Cons

Reporting is has too many features and everyone whom runs a report gets different results so it creates inconsistency and confusion

### "eVet: NOT a program to recommend "

Hot and cold. Not happy with tech support or system programming….too many work arounds, for those that even have them…but none for the commission report to be able to pay the doctors when money has actually been paid to the clinic.

Pros

It’s on the cloud. Easy to maneuver among pages. Easy calendar to use.

Cons

Commission Reports pay doctors even for unpaid invoices! Provider Summary does not equal Cash Summary on same report. Unfortunately, we just realized this. Their reports aren’t great. Have to go in and out of individual clients to find when they last paid, not on any report. Sales Report is entirely misleading where it shows doctor numbers. Cannot imagine the thousands it’s now cost us. I need a new program. NO work arounds.

I'd probably go with another company if it wasn't such a pain to switch. Lots of issues and now they're raising my bill in april!!

Pros

It's mostly intuitive and straightforward once you learn it.

Cons

Rapport has never handshaked properly with evet.I pay way too much for rapport. System doesn't keep track of any inventory items. It seems to have a lot of issues lately where the system is down hours in end.

### "EVET is sufficient"

Customer support is poor and seem to have minimal experience with actual day to day workings of system. Reports are limited. Reminders are VERY limited. There is NO way to search for a specific reminder and send email to those patients. Monthly releases frequently have bugs.

Pros

Ability to be used on multiple device platforms (iOS, android, windows, chrome book)

Cons

Slow page load (we have 600mbps download). Patients with involved medical care take a lot of time (2-5min) to load pages.

I do like the new color banners for female/male patients. Evet has many good reporting features to customize information that is needed. I enjoy the webinars. It is very helpful to be able to watch webinars and review how to do correctly create what is needed in Evet :-)

My experience is a nice, although frequently complicated one. PLEASE create an option for selecting multiple calendar appointments at once to be edited/deleted/etc. Cleaning up our calendar is a Herculean task that could be drastically reduced with that feature.

Pros

It is a great, mostly all-in-one product that allows for ease of access for scheduling, keeping up-to-date on patient charts and billing records. There is much room for improvement, however the basics are all very usable.

Cons

There are countless ways this product can be improved upon. It is not very user-friendly and comes with a definite learning curve. There are elements that take way longer than necessary that could be easily rectified.

### "Banks Veterinary Service"

Overall we wish a lot of things could be different. We get frustrated with all of these "big changes" that really are worthless in our day to day. We really don't care about color changes or tab shape changes when there are bigger issues. And when you just keep moving things around it's annoying and actually slows us down. For the most part it works but hardly a day goes by I'm not frustrated by some aspect of the program.

Pros

That it is web based and we can access from anywhere.

Cons

When we initially purchased it was owned by a smaller company and the other practices that we talked with liked the system. Those other practices told us they were able to customize/change things to fit their practice, which we really liked. That has not been the case for us and is one of our biggest complaints.

I am overall pretty happy with the software but I do think that there are still several features that need to be added or upgraded.

Pros

I love that this software is user friendly and that for the most part if I have a question, I can use the Help feature and receive detailed instructions

Cons

Well I think several of the more recent updates are pretty useless and features that would be more useful, like Twin DYMO label setting, and specimen label setting (with label sizes that will actually fit on a blood collection tube) would be way more important that having the MR be Blue/Pink for the sex of the animal. I also think that it should be easier to create a mailing label merge into word. I would also really like it if I could link it to my AccuVet imaging software and EKO for our Littmann CORE stethascope.

We feel that Pulse is definitely more user friendly for Doctors and the medical team in general. The learning curve is greater for CSRs as it is very different from our previous PIMS.

Pros

Implementation and training was fairly easy and intuitive. We love the inventory management and entering purchase orders is a breeze. Exam forms and history forms are also pretty terrific.

Cons

We wish there were an easier way to view a patient while making an appointment and that there was a dedicated space for Fear Free information. Also, the task dashboard update requires you to choose a time period to view and makes it easy to miss older tasks. We would love an option to "see all" for each user.

Nothing, the only benefit is that it is cloud based

Cons

Everything, this system is EXTREMELY outdated, it is not intuitive and is not worth any amount of money. The system does not work well in today's world.

At this point we utilize what we need and don't use any of the fancy things that were created for the large practices.

Pros

Covetrus migrated us from Evetpractice when they created Pulse.

Cons

Internet response time has slowed down. Also seems to slow down even more after our recorded closing time of 5:00 pm. Seems you don't allow any response for the last question about integration other than Covetrus Prescription Management.

### "Evet is a great option for the price"

Overall we have been very happy with our choice! The tech team is not only polite and responsive, they are amazing!

Pros

What we love about Evet is that, unlike Avimark, it doesn't just shut down and no inhouse server to worry about. Also, we really love the real time updates - seemless!

Cons

So, we run an all-exotics veterinary hospital. From the very beginning, we knew that no veterinary software was going to be made for "us". However, for the ease of making something work for us, we chose Evet. THe software was relatively easy to change to fit our needs. There have been many challenges that make Evet frustrating. We run business so differently than companion practices, use different products, rarely use pet insurances or wellness plans. So, you can see that all of those great Evet programs and uses are useless to us. We have asked for lots and lots of updates over the last couple of years, and we probably won't see them implemented because companion practices make up for of a constituency than we do....

Overall good. Cloud based is the way to go. I like the ability to sign in from anywhere.

Pros

Appointments scheduling is easy. I do wish you were able to search next available appoint per doctor. This would save an incredible amount of time.

Cons

The report options can be improved greatly. Consulting with a veterinary management group would be helpful to create what is needed.

### "Falling short"

Pros

Integration with our previous software was fairly seamless. The basics of the software are easy to use . Emailing records and downloading documents is a plus. eVet support is amazing - live chat is an excellent feature!

Cons

We received little to no training. Because of this, I'm sure we are not utilizing the software to its fullest potential. 80% of our calls are to schedule or move appts. Moving scheduled appt dates is cumbersome. There should be a feature that allows you to highlight the appt and click move, then find an available time and date and paste the appt. Multi tasking is a must in this industry and eVet makes it difficult to be working on more than one thing at a time, because you can't go back one page w/o being redirected to the calendar home page.

Pulse is easy to use. The software is always growing and getting better. The integration between all of the popular veterinary labs, supply ordering, and even card processing makes everything easier from check in to check out.

Cons

When a client has a past due bill, it would be easier if we were able to pick an invoice to pay rather than it just paying the oldest amount.

I hear most of my staff being unhappy with the change- I feel like it could be good but it needs some razzle dazzle to be worth it

There are so many features in existing software systems that should have been considered- redundant clicks and steps waste seconds and seconds are money in this field

Support is fantastic, I really appreciate the quick responses and friendly people.

Cons

UI/UX is really lacking. It is clunky and difficult to navigate. Visually it's complicated and overwhelming, making it hard to find the info you need. There are also frequent errors and glitches.

### "Hoping it gets better with time."

It has not been the greatest. The trainers that came out told us about all these features for our inventory and it turns out they were VERY misinformed about the capabilities of the program.

Pros

The schedule is fun to look at with all the colors.

Cons

\*Inventory receiving is taking me 10 hours now instead of the 3 it used to take for myself and it is taking the retail/food inventory person 2 days now instead of 1 day to do her inventory.\*Our pharmacy now needs 2 technicians to hold down the requests instead of 1. \*It takes me longer to generate our schedule because I have to go into the calendar resources to add/cancel people and then back to the schedule and then back to the day I was working on.\*Switching between 2 clinics and having everything separate is an absolute pain. The task list should be linked. Group prices should be linked. There is no reason to have these things separate. Inventory, I understand having separate for other clinics but it doesn't work for our clinic as I order through one clinic and now prices are never going to change at our other location. Or I can order in smaller quantities for our smaller location but now the prices will be more expensive.\*Any feature I ask about that would make Pulse more user friendly, doesn't exist.\*I am coding my own things to make life easier. (your live chat people took my code for drop down boxes, as I was apparently the first to get them to work)

### "Easy to use"

Pros

Pulse is pretty easy to learn. Support, especially the online chat, is very easy to get a hold of someone and the support staff are very knowledgeable.

Cons

I wish the pricing included all the features, instead of adding on pricing/other programs for each extra feature as it does add up. Especially things like texting the client for reminders, etc.
