DyKnow is one of the better monitoring softwares out there. It lets me not only see what my students are doing, but also allows me to ensure that they have different levels of restriction depending on their needs. It's just also difficult to keep it working consistently since it crashes pretty easily.

Pros

The ability to have both black and whitelists is a game changer for my classroom. This creates an excellent system for necessary discipline and ensures students stay on task.

Cons

This is a VERY processor heavy program, even for a cloud service. It crashes on me pretty frequently, and needs reloading all the time. I also dislike that I can't set times for turning it on and off.

the overall experience is that Dyknow from the best monitoring apps that help me to control my students accurately this is the best app ever

Pros

what I like most about this software is that its easy to block sites for students and automatically direct them to the main sites I wanted to, also I can analyze the views of these sites easily

Cons

what i like least about this software is that it takes a few minutes to load till I see what are my students do

I spent a long time not being able to control my students and DyKnow was a game changer for me.

Pros

DyKnow gave me back control of my classroom. The ability to control what students can and cannot access if invaluable to keep them on task. I am able to set up pre-made lists of blocks to quickly access them for my classes.

Cons

I wish I could take control of my students computers and close tabs rather than just blocking access. I would also like to control programs outside the browser. That is the main feature I would like.

It’s been OK.

Pros

This has been a great feature that helps teachers like myself understand the question of the day my students are using and what programs I like the way that they’re colorful on display like a pie chart...easy to see and understand.

Cons

I do not like that some kids do not have information about time they took to do something.What I mean is it doesn’t tell specifics of when does the show start picking up this item and finishing it did they wait until the last minute or today starting the project along time ago.

Pros

Good monitoring tool to make sure that technology used within the classroom is being truly used as a learning tool rather than a tool for distraction. Has support for all devices that our school uses. Good reporting.

Cons

The reports are limited to certain criteria whereas our school would value the ability to report on more robust data points. Does not currently support mobile devices, which is unfortunate because there is a lot of iPad use within the classroom.

In a lab where students are working independently it works fantastic to check student progress and helps keep them on task. You have the ability to restrict access to websites while allowing students to work on the recommended or required sites. Once the student is done with a progress that restriction can be removed instantly. It also allows teachers to set up specific web rules in their classrooms without restricting other teachers. All in all I think this is one of the best programs for classroom management of school issued computers.

Pros

The ability to view student workstations in real time.

Cons

It's a little glitchy working with mac's, but they are improving it all the time.

DyKnow really helps a teacher take control of monitoring the digital classroom.

Pros

DyKnow is quick and easy to use. It allows the teacher to multitask while still monitoring students on Chromebooks, keeping them on task and accountable. Teachers can block activities and send messages to distracted students to refocus attention.

Cons

The software itself hasn't had any negatives, though being dependent on internet connection throughout our building can cause issues, as it is sometimes spotty.

Pros

The ability to monitor internet usage is huge in keeping from being distracted by social media and streaming sites. We are a homeschool teaching group that uses the program so we don't have the convenience of blocking some sites.

Cons

Since we are a homeschool group, not all of the parents are understanding the app as well as someone with more formal training in computers . We have gotten around that by selecting parents who do understand it to track it.

My experience has been very good in complementing the assignments of my students and their excellent academic performance.

Pros

The ease of use, the adaptation to any curriculum, as well as the simplicity to monitor the progress of the assignments of my students. It allows you to prioritize the content of work and its follow-up from any place such as being in the classroom.

Cons

The only limitation found is the support of the internet connection, to keep the contents up to date and monitor the tasks.
