My overall experience with ResNexus has been outstanding. From day one, the platform has made managing reservations, guest communications, and daily operations smooth and efficient. The system is intuitive and packed with helpful features that make my job easier. I especially value the ability to track staff activity and customize access levels. What truly sets ResNexus apart, though, is the support team—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. I’ve always felt supported, even as a first-time user of reservation software. ResNexus has become an essential part of running my business, and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Pros

ResNexus is an incredibly user-friendly platform that makes managing our hotel seamless and efficient. The intuitive interface is easy to navigate, even for new users, and every page includes helpful explanations and tooltips to guide us through each process. I like that OTAs are assigned their own color; it helps to be able to tell them apart so you can track where you are strongest. I appreciate the ability to assign roles, including giving the owner direct access to manage operations. The system also tracks employee activity, allowing me to identify and resolve potential issues early. Most importantly, the support team is outstanding—\[sensitive content hidden\] is always responsive, and \[sensitive content hidden\] consistently goes above and beyond. Their expertise and dedication truly set ResNexus apart.

Cons

Honestly, I can’t think of anything I dislike about ResNexus. It’s the only reservation software I’ve ever used, and it has met all of my needs as a hotel manager. While I don’t have another system to compare it to, ResNexus has been reliable, intuitive, and well-supported from the start. Any time I’ve had a question or needed help, the support team has been quick to respond and incredibly helpful. If there are any shortcomings, I haven’t encountered them yet—it's been a smooth and positive experience across the board.

Overall, I would recommend ResNexus to any business big or small that is looking to create a more formal presence on the internet with the ability to lean on their team of support staff that will guide you through the entire process.

Pros

Our business was fully operated via telephone and mail as recently as 2018. Making the switch over to an online booking system was a challenge at first, but ResNexus has made it easy for us to do things like manage our reservations, build retail items, and communicate with guests. Their customer services have been of great assistance to us over the course of our using their platform.

Cons

The change over to being online was definitely a challenge at the start. I would say our being a Canadian business has provided us with a couple of challenges in how our payments our processed as the system is built to deal with USD and applicable US payment options. Things like e-transfer and our not dealing in pennies have made us get creative in our solutions, but we've always had great help in sorting those things out.

### "Stay away, not production ready, and they don't honor contracts"

ResNexus was a colossal disaster for us. We ran into complete show stopper bugs and found out very quickly that their second level support was non-existent. When we insisted that we needed the bugs fixed, their answer was that we are a poor fit for ResNexus and they asked us to leave. We found out later the real reason they asked us to leave is because their sales guy lowballed our account and they decided not to honor the lifelong price guarantee. Their staff was not very knowledgeable when it came to Google Hotel Ads, and we quickly ran into major limitations across all their features. The system is 100% closed, no API access, and very limited channel choices.

Pros

The Email template and CRM in ResNexus is outstanding, and their first level support is also outstanding. The rates management is the least cluttered of any solutions we used, and their booking engine is the only one flexible enough to allow you to sell just about anything besides just overnight stays.

Cons

Terrible second level customer support and just a ton of bugs. For example, we would get multiple calls a day for customers who said that when they went to our direct booking site, the dates they wanted were unavailable even though the major hotel sites showed availability. So we just ended up taking a ton of phone bookings. Their system would delete the tax settings on the major channels. They claim their main advantage is that they are family run and not dependant on venture capital. We quickly discovered that the family business side was a double edged sword, and if they don't like you personally, they will dump you in a heartbeat because they don't have to answer to shareholders or boards.

Axel, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We recognize that ResNexus is not a fit for some property owners. Just as some hosts are not a good fit for some guests. From our first demo we were upfront that ResNexus was not the custom built solution you were looking for. However, at your request we moved forward even though we mentioned multiple times that our system would not do the custom tasks or operate the way you desired. To complicate matters, you refused to attend our free personalized training sessions to ensure that your OTA connections were setup correctly. After spending over 100+ hours complaining about bugs (that were really feature requests) and being unprofessional to our support team because ResNexus would not make a custom built software solution for you–we asked you to find another PMS provider. We wish you the best and hope you find the software you are looking for.

Overall, ResNexus is the best room management system on the market. It's a great value for the money, and the webinars are incredibly helpful! We took over an existing business, and the transition was very easy. I sat with the present \[sensitive content hidden\] for just an hour or so and was able to use the system without issue. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a new system.

Pros

ALL of my reservation needs are in one spot! The ease of use is amazing! The grid gives me a quick glance at the month ahead. Website updates are so easy, and it allows me to update room changes, photos, rates, etc. within minutes. I appreciate the ability to easily block off days at a moment's notice. When any issues arise, our representative always responds with a call within a reasonable amount of time. It pays for itself in one rental. We also love all of the webinars that share up to date tools to make our system more efficient.

Cons

I love ResNexus, but I'd love to be able to keep my password for a longer amount of time. And that's not that big of a deal to me!

I've been with ResNexus for 2 years now so I'm still relatively new. ResNexus is a crucial part of running my Airbnb business. From the reservations, the website, the reports, I could not function without ResNexus.

Pros

The Support system is what I like most...my one-on-one hospitality person \[sensitive content hidden\] to be on point, knowledgeable, personable & quick to correct any problems I am having. Also, the reports that I can access at a push of the button.

Cons

The cost of the credit card processing. For a small business like mine, it's a big chunk of my paycheck.

FANTASTIC, Fun, Fulfilling, Responsive, Respectful, Follows through, they have our back as do they have our customers back! GREAT PRODUCT!

Pros

Resnexus, This is a fantastic system that just keeps getting better and better. We started in 2015, after having relentless double bookings and booking failures with our previous system. We have not had double booking issues with Resnexus. We really enjoy the Academy that they offer to showcase new features and industry trends, it keeps us at the top of the game. the new Zift and other processing that they are associated to are also fantastic. One of the best items that ts managed through resnexus is the "Travel Protection" It is fantastic to have a product to offer to guests that are traveling long distances, and having to book so far in advance that anything can happen, the fee is reasonable and the customer service when there is an issue is FANTASTIC! I have followed up with guests and they to are very impressed with the personal real customer service associated to this product offering. If you are not using Resnexus you should give it a serious look, i have a friend who was lured into switching from Resnexus and then returned! they state it was the worst mistake they ever made in their business. I feel as though Resnexus is the best part of my buisness, true partners!

Cons

Well..... this is difficult! The only thing that needs to be looked at is the amount of required information that the OTA's wont share with us so we can provide their customers real service. Its frustrating that we have to do the work that the OTAs are not wanting to do and we still have to pay to do their jobs. To much noise in the data and not useable information that clutters the screens.

I have been with Resnexus almost 20 years. I have a unique business in that I book fishing trips, lodging and boat rentals. Resnexus has worked with me to customize the system so that everything worked seamlessly.

Pros

The ability to customize the booking engine to meet your specific needs, the customization available in sending email notifications to customers. The staff works tirelessly to make sure you get set up and onboarded and provides all the phone support necessary to make you a success.

Cons

I honestly can say that there is nothing that I do not like about Resnexus. The customer service is second to none and the software is so reasonably priced.

### "Angels at ResNexus"

I would choose ResNexus any day. I even recommended them to my competitor four miles from me. I repeatedly told him to switch, and now he is having an easier time. Team work makes a better tourism community.

Pros

I purchased my iconic motel in the winter of 2020. Four weeks later the country would be gripped with a world wide pandemic. I could not get vendors to work with me, the SBDA announced they were not going to help new businesses, and the list goes on. It was a very challenging time, but the one shining vendor that stood out was ResNexus. I had met with several website/reservation system vendors but the staff at ResNexus was simple the best. They were professional and really listened to my vision for website. One of their staff took on the challenge of helping me get control of the domain back and switched to an American company which saved me a ton of headaches. The web designer that was assigned to my business was originally from the North East and she worked tirelessly to finish my website before she hopped on a plane and came back home to be safe with her family. Every time I call ResNexus I speak to kind and helpful staff.

Cons

There is really not anything that I can say I dislike, I can say that the one struggle we had was transferring daily work from ResNexus to Quickbooks. I even broke down and switched to Online Quickbooks hoping this would help but it still had hiccups. I since have hired an accountant who takes care of the transfers. Even she says its a struggle and can only do it in small batches. The second thing, I would love if the retail sales part of the system was a bit more user friendly and I would love to be able to sell items from my gift shop at the motel online to subsidize in the slow months. They can do it with items, but there is no way to calculate the shipping based on the address and etc. So we never got that off the ground.

### "Perfect for small hotel operators like me"

It appears to be a small company, but they have a large number of clients. They have thought through many of the issues I have encountered with other systems. It is intuitive and easy to train others on how to use the system. It keeps improving. And they don't raise the price once you join them.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. I also like their support/help desk. The system does what I need as a small hotel owner, and seems to have many options available as we grow (such as the ability to provide codes for automatic door locks).

Cons

Not much to dislike. Sometimes dragging and dropping reservations between rooms is not easy, and the mobile interface is hard to use when I am not on the property.

### "With some work on basic shortcomings, ResNexus would rule this sector"

Overall, it's been challenging to get the tool to do \*exactly\* what we want, and there are a lot of frustrating "obvious" limitations, but it does so much so very well and we've invested so much time into getting things to function that we're "happily stuck". We have explored other property management systems but a move simply isn't worth it, especially because of the people at ResNexus.

Pros

Attitude goes a long way, and our support team earns our business every day. Tony, Jeremy, Kat, Tim, and everyone else really does their best to make things work. They are extremely professional and unflagging in staying positive, even when things aren't working right.

Cons

There are a handful of things that either don't work right or get launched without rigorous testing (in my opinion). I appreciate that I'm both a squeaky wheel and probably a more advanced user than others, but disagree with building something "well enough" for most people and with they'd improve certain features. To the credit of our support team, they do take this into consideration and have worked on stuff over the years.

I love that you get a live person for support, no AI chat bot making you go in circles and finally you give up because no one will help you. Please don't take away LIVE support. Your team is the best I have ever worked with.

Pros

I love the OTA integration that keeps my reservations from double booking. My past system had me manually adding from other platforms with the risk of double booking and angry customers.

Cons

Some what complex but once you learn all the features it is extremely powerful. The support staff is always there to help even if you ask the same question a few times until you learn the system.

Both Josh and Laura have been awesome support throughout our journey with Resnexus. They were very patient when training us during our transition to ResNexus, and proactively contact us with major new releases that they think will can benefit from. During weekends, we're able to call after hours support, which we used only a handful of times. A shout to Travis from their web support team also. He handles our website updates as required within a very timely fashion.

Pros

We love both the customer self serve options for booking their stay (within the booking parameters that we specify), and the email automation for pre-arrival and after stay follow-up reviews. The RN system not only saves us countless hours of manual work, but also pays for itself via Direct Connect capability for online travel agents like Airbnb and VRBO, which help us fill in spaces during the shoulder season.

Cons

Resnexus has become the primary vendor for all of my customer and marketing data, with the exception of liability waivers, which we ask each customer to sign prior to check-in - as recommended by our insurance company. We pay a 3rd party for this capability. It would be nice to see ResNexus add this capability, so that all customer data is in one place, and easily retrievable.

We still use Quickbooks for accounting, which integrates to Resnexus. Adding ResNexus allowed us to consolidate 3 other vendors, which were not integrated to Quickbooks. My experience has been great. From the platform to the professional red Carpet team \[sensitive content hidden\], to the website team, and even the \[sensitive content hidden\], they go above and beyond for their clients.

Pros

EVERYTHING!!! There's nothing I don't like. Resnexus has been a godsend for my business. The Red Carpet team \[sensitive content hidden\] has been a huge asset to my business. They have grown so much over the past several years. As they grow, we grow. The direct connection with other platforms has been and continues to be a great reward. The website team is top-notch. The reservations page is easy to maneuver. I could continue.

Cons

At first, I wanted a pop-up when a new reservation came in. I realized that it wasn't necessary since I receive email notifications when they come in.

### "ResNexus in the best accommodation software you can use."

From the beginning of our relationship with ResNexus, we've found them to be sincerely interested in helping us attract guests and manage the reservation and communication effectively. We build websites for other accommodations in the area, and we've helped probably 10+ of them to sign up with ResNexus too -- that's how much we believe that they're a great company. The reps are always helpul, and they are constantly updating their system with upgrades.

Pros

We've been using ResNexus for more than 25 years. They are a fantastic company with excellent software and amazing customer support. The fact that they care enough to send a rep here to this relatively small area (the Outer Banks of NC), in this case \[sensitive content hidden\], to make sure we were using the software to the optimal level, was so helpful. He spent a lot of time with us and showed us some key components of the system that we weren't taking advantage of.

I can honestly say that there's nothing I don't like about ResNexus.

I have had nothing but a 5 star experience with ResNexus and tell everyone they need to check them out to help run their businesses.

Pros

I love everything about ResNexus, but the most important is the red carpet service I get from \[sensitive content hidden\]. The next thing is I love the look/layout, it's easy to see everything I need on the home screen.

Cons

My only complaint would be I want to be able to get my "Interests" made to be sorted alpha order. I have added lots of interest to help promote and track my guests and the list keeps getting longer, but I would love to be able to add something and it would go into alphabetic order.

Pros

We have had Resnexus since we opened in 2018. We have always had prompt, helpful service whenever we had questions or needed something. Our account manager has always been great to work with. I really recommend Resnexus.

I had ResNexus create my website and manage my booking engine for my small family run campground. Everything works together. Anytime that I run across a problem (usually user error) I receive the assistance I need in a timely manner.

Pros

The booking engine is easy to use. Integrates with everything (my website and point of sale). Great support staff.

Cons

My website needs better SEO (search engine optimization). Learning curve on some of the language. The booking engine is geared for hotel more than campground and was not customizable to the specific information that I required.

It has been a great partnership from my end. I hope they feel the same. It really took all the pressure off of taking reservations. I started with an operation that still did things with pencil and a calendar. "old School"

Pros

Very easy setup, reliable. Red carpet people are very helpful whenever I need them. I also enjoy the webinars

Cons

There is not much to not like. So, let's just default to, "the price" even though it's a still a bargain

Very satisfied, user friendly and a great support team. They are always available, friendly and are great teachers.

Pros

The user friendliness of this is amazing. I just learned about it 2 seasons ago when I entered resort life for the first time ever, I learned the new system very quickly. The support team is second to none. Very happy with this program.

Cons

I am not sure I have any cons at this time, as I continue working with and learning new perks perhaps I may find something but for now it is all good.

Resnexus has been a great system to keep my reservations simple and accountable. They send me confirmations in text message and email. This motivates me to follow up and print out new reservations......all good

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] is very helpful. We went thru the back office details and he helped to set up and make adjustments. He's always fun to chat with and problem solve.

Cons

nothing they are a great team......reliable and happy to help can't usually contact me in the morning but \[sensitive content hidden\] always calls me back !!

Pros

Great Customer Service. The online booking engine is convenient and easy for guest use and saves me time!

Cons

There are so many options it can be confusing at times...but they are always happy to help. They are always there to answer my questions.

### "Customer service can't be beat!! Just need more functionalities."

Very positive. Customer service being a huge component, as discussed below. There are additional functionalities we would like have implemeneted in an expeditious manner, but I do have the confidence in my ResNexus Professional to advocate for our needs and also help me find workarounds and explain different processes and settings as needed. We plan on continuing with ResNexus, are excited about the new integrations and functionalities/improvements. This will go hand in hand with addressing our existing list of operational functionalities that we would like to see implemented sooner.

Pros

AMAZING customer service! This is courtest of \[sensitive content hidden\], who has made our experience so much smoother, efficient, and pleasurable. He is very attentive and on top of all of our concerns - no matter the scope - and has advocated to make improvements in the system as we have noticed a need for them. There is any ease of use I appreciate and there are instructional guides, which prove helpful, although some are out of date or focus on the grid view too much (rather than calendar view). I also appreciate the Academy every year, where I can get one-on-one time to work with my Red Carpet Professional, as well as learn about the new functionalities and how to better utilize the existing ones to improve our business operation).

Cons

There are limitations to the reports we would like to use and gain more in-depth, granial information from in an organized fashion. This would be very convenient for us and our marketer, who is trying to find ways for ResNexus to guide our marketing plans through detailed analytics. There is also still some confusion as to how to utilize the settings function, especially the ones related to room units/classes and rates. Better instruction pages and videos would be really helpful. Not just what each button means, but also why, when, and how they are to be utilized. Each new functionality feels like it needs to be tested more for inefficiencies, usefulness, and hiccups. Yet it seems to take a long time in beta for the tech improvements we are requesting to be completed (even crucial ones to our operation).

Pros

Customer Support is amazing. Super knowledgeable and able to answer any questions that we may have. Great staff

Cons

Just like any software company there are standard small bugs from time to time but they get fixed very quickly.
