Technology Director Graphic Design Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Virtual whiteboards that have been transformational for our workflow" January 19, 2026 5.0 Miro has been transmormational in the way we work with many different people in various different locations. Without this we would have had had to all be back in the office printing things out onto peices of paper! Pros During covid Miro allowed us to transition to seamlessly from printing masses of designs on giant whiteboards to doing this all virtually. This has saved us thousands in rpinting costs and allows peoplke from any location to dial in a see whats going on in the project. The organizational features allows us to manage this data easily and keep it set upin a way that works well for the team. The board can easily be shared online in a meeting or on a large display or touch screen for in in person collaboration. This is now an integral part of our workflow and is super easy to use. Cons We ideally would like to be on the enterprise plan to take advantage of the security settings like scim but these are fenced off and we are priced out as a small business. Its a shame but unfortunately a lot of major apps are like this. If you're looking to help your creativity, collaborate and have fun while getting things done, this is a great tool. Pros i like how it adapts to the current contexts (working from home, distributed teams. It is a very useful tool for brainstorming, collaborating and very easy to use. You can use it for management. It's a tool that is adaptable to different industries (eg, iT, Health, etc) . My company pays mi license and it has a great ROI. And if you want to go deeper into understanding miro , they have available workshops and courses for FREE. And you can become a creator (miroverse), so there are different layers where miro helps. Cons If you have an endless board it might take a bit to load but nothing major. I am talking of a real big board. Pros We specifically tested Miro for its operational capacities. It really shines at helping ops teams visualize complex workflows and dependencies. Mapping processes, swimlanes and bottlenecks on an infinite canvas makes it easier to see where work stalls and who owns what. Real-time collaboration and templates help teams align quickly and linking boards to work in other systems (via integrations) keeps things connected. We found it especially useful for cross-functional planning sessions, retros, ops playbooks, etc. Cons If you need structured task assignment, or resourcing built in, you might still need complementary tools? Boards can get messy without disciplined organization (even though that is the same in most tools). We didn't test it out with the whole team, but intuitively it feels like some teammates would struggle with the freeform canvas at first. A joy to use and so useful for teaching, learning and other project visualisation applications Pros I absolutely love Miro. It has helped me with teaching tasks, presentation tasks, group collaboration and simply visualising ideas and structures. It is incredibly well designed and thought through. It looks beautiful and is a joy to use. They have very appealing licenses for Universities which makes getting everyone onboard a breeze. Really reccomend for a wide range of uses. Cons It is hard to find fault with Miro, but it might simply be that it takes a tiny bit of time and commitment to learn the ropes and become a creative genius. July 15, 2025 4.0 I have used Miro for my apprenticeship classroom weeks as well as when working with designers for our new website at work. It is really easy to share collaboratively in whatever format works best for you and I enjoyed the interactive methods, it made things a lot more fun during otherwise dull discussions and is great to come back to or export. Pros It's really easy to share ideas in real time and collaborate as a team to be able to come back to. It works really well in a learning setting, I used it a lot for my apprenticeship. It's so easy to drag in images or add a post-it. Cons I almost feel like there are too many features or it can be confusing knowing where to start with a board or picking the best feature. Ich Kann Daten sammeln und vergleichen, aber auch visuell ziemlich coole Sachen erstellen wie z.B. Minde Maps oder Cluster. Oft nehme ich diese auch für Präsentationen her Pros Es ist wie eine analoge Pinnwand, ich kann mit dem pad notizen machen oder auch in Mindmaps arbeiten und meinen kreativen Kopf wüten lassen und im Nachhinein Sortieren. Man kann PDFs hochladen und in ihnen Blatter, Film, Audio, Images. Find ich super, dass man auch deine Projekte Teilen kann und somit auch gut ist um Präsenationen zu halten oder über Projekte zu diskutieren. Cons Manchmal dauert es bis die Boards geladen sind, ist aber nur der fall wenn sie wirklich schon ziemlich voll sind. Mich nervt es auch dass ich nicht ganz verstehe oder es hin bekomm die email Benachrichtigungen auszustellen, da man immer email bekommet zu wöchentlichen update oder wer auf dem eigenen Board aktiv war. It’s not easy if you’ve never used a tool like this, but if your use is simple, there are plenty of templates to get started. Pros I didn’t use it as a collaboration tool, more like a mindmap, a support, and a thinking space to create automations. With Zapier, it’s better to put the whole process on paper before starting. It helps to figure out the right apps and the most efficient way to automate your process. Cons I also found it a bit complicated because I was using it poorly. It’s hard to start from a blank board, mostly I edited templates.
