### "Give it a try!"

April 29, 2026

4.0

Occasionally, boards can become cluttered and difficult to navigate when multiple teams are collaborating, and very large boards may experience performance slowdowns. Alternatively, this products handles messy ideation early on, then helps you organize, cluster, prioritize, and turn ideas into clear plans.

Pros

We used Miro for presentations and really enjoyed the experience. The platform is highly effective in connecting designers, product managers, engineers, sales, and quality teams, allowing everyone to collaborate seamlessly. Its intuitive interface makes it easy for cross‑functional teams to adopt and use without a steep learning curve.

Cons

Although the basics are easy to pick up, some advanced functionality (workflows, integrations, automation) takes time to fully learn and adopt.

### "Easy to use whiteboarding and charting tool with some administrative limitations"

January 4, 2026

4.0

Miro has been a solid tool overall. It’s easy to use, makes it simple to visualise ideas using templates and drag-and-drop, and it’s great for sharing and collaborating. We’ve used it effectively to scope a CRM build and to map out requirements in a way that’s easy for others to understand. The main downsides are that structured diagrams don’t export in a useful hierarchy, overlapping items can be painful to work with because of the layers, and it would be better if you could add more detail to items without cluttering the board.

Pros

It is very easy to use. The click and drag interface and the templated actions make visualising data and concepts easy. It is also easy to share and collaborate with others. The free licence tier makes it easy for others to join in.

Cons

Though the data in flowcharts and mind maps are in a structured hierarchy, Miro does not export the data in that structure. Especially for csv the data comes out in one column and in the order in which it was added to Miro, which is illogical. Items on the board that cross each other or overlap are difficult to work with as the item you want might be buried behind other items. Miro operates its layers like Powerpoint, which is equally difficult to use. I find myself sending foreground items to the back multiple times to get to the item I want. Miro is only two dimensional. In my mind maps I want to be able to provide more information about an item in the map but the only way to do that is to create another label or postit note. I would love to be able to provide depth to an item where someone could hover and read a description of that item. Also, from an administrators perspective Miro only makes content created by my organisation visible to me in the enterprise tier, which is expensive. I cannot see what my staff are doing in Miro, therefore handing over from one employee to another is very difficult.

Reason for choosing Miro

Miro is the most user friendly. These other applications are more cumbersome. Though they are cheaper, so you have to weigh that up.

Visio's interface is quite clunky. They should ditch the offline app and just move to online only and invest time in making the interface more user friendly. That's where Miro is better

### "Miro over 4 years"

April 13, 2026

4.0

It’s a very good tools for collaboration and visual thinking, especially for cross-functional work where you need quick alignment and shared context. While large boards can become messy or slower over time, it’s still extremely effective when used with good structure and a clear purpose.

Pros

It is how quickly it helps teams get aligned—whether it’s brainstorming, mapping flows, or running a workshop, everyone can contribute in real time without needing to be in the same room. I also really like how flexible it is: sticky notes, diagrams, templates, and frames make it easy to turn messy ideas into something structured and shareable.

Cons

As boards get larger, Miro can start to feel a bit heavy—performance can slow down, and it becomes harder to find things unless the board is kept tidy. Also, when multiple people are editing at once, boards can get cluttered quickly, so it takes discipline (or strong templates) to keep things organized and easy to follow

### "Miro is a great way to visualize"

December 2, 2025

3.0

Miro has been great for visualizing things for our customers. We have had some really great meetings due to Miro. When looking at this from a forward looking perspective though, Miro becomes a challenge to data security and data retention.

Pros

Miro can be an awesome tool for visualizing ideas and organizing thoughts. The features and plugins are great and the support from the customer support team has been great as well.

Cons

Once you're in Miro, your data is kind of trapped in the application. There are ways to export but there are size limits on exporting. What makes it more difficult is that there is no way to track the overall size of your board while you're designing it so when it comes time to export, I find myself breaking things into many smaller boards or frames. If we knew this before trying Miro, we probably would have looked into alternatives. Now we feel stuck.

### "Smart choice for Project Management "

March 3, 2026

4.0

Wonderful experience in terms of project management, visual roadmap. It makes team collaboration, brainstorming, and meetings more interactive and organized. The interface is user-friendly, and real-time editing keeps everyone aligned. Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient tool for visual project management.

Pros

Miro offers strong value for money, especially for teams needing a flexible collaborative whiteboard, though larger plans can be pricey. Customer support is responsive with solid documentation, but live help can be slow at peak times. The platform scores high on ease of use, with intuitive drag-and-drop tools and templates that reduce the learning curve. Organizational management features like team spaces and permissions help keep boards structured, while meetings feel more engaging with real-time co-editing and presentation modes. Workflow management integrates well with tools like Jira and Asana, making task tracking smoother. Overall navigation is clean and logical, though very large boards can occasionally feel cluttered.

Cons

It gives the ready made templates for workflows, inbuilt AI features, and endless whiteboard. important is value for money.

### "Virtual whiteboards that have been transformational for our workflow"

January 19, 2026

5.0

Miro has been transmormational in the way we work with many different people in various different locations. Without this we would have had had to all be back in the office printing things out onto peices of paper!

Pros

During covid Miro allowed us to transition to seamlessly from printing masses of designs on giant whiteboards to doing this all virtually. This has saved us thousands in rpinting costs and allows peoplke from any location to dial in a see whats going on in the project. The organizational features allows us to manage this data easily and keep it set upin a way that works well for the team. The board can easily be shared online in a meeting or on a large display or touch screen for in in person collaboration. This is now an integral part of our workflow and is super easy to use.

Cons

We ideally would like to be on the enterprise plan to take advantage of the security settings like scim but these are fenced off and we are priced out as a small business. Its a shame but unfortunately a lot of major apps are like this.

### "Miro & miroverse"

September 24, 2025

5.0

my overall experience is very positive, i use it in most of my workshops. and my teams are very happy with the way we use it. If you're looking to help your creativity, collaborate and have fun while getting things done, this is a great tool.

Pros

i like how it adapts to the current contexts (working from home, distributed teams. It is a very useful tool for brainstorming, collaborating and very easy to use. You can use it for management. It's a tool that is adaptable to different industries (eg, iT, Health, etc) . My company pays mi license and it has a great ROI. And if you want to go deeper into understanding miro , they have available workshops and courses for FREE. And you can become a creator (miroverse), so there are different layers where miro helps.

Cons

If you have an endless board it might take a bit to load but nothing major. I am talking of a real big board.

Pros

An easy to use visual collaboration platform. For planning and Brainstorming this software is super useful. The build in Templates are efficient in time saving. Way many features are already packed in the free tier.

Cons

As the canvas is infinite , sometimes navigation can be frustrating on a larger canvas. User management and control are not strengths of this software.

### "Creates a style that sustains collaboration at every stage of the workflow"

January 6, 2025

5.0

Miro created for us diverse and effective spaces that ensure continuity of collaboration, enabling us to communicate information and ideas quickly, and display and update achievements efficiently.

Pros

Miro is easy to use, perfect for streamlining visual tracking and collaborative planning remotely. With Miro, we connect meeting inputs and organize workflow charts that are understandable to everyone. I loved the ready-made templates that provide the perfect starting point for any idea, ensuring ease of collecting inputs during them and organizing them in an attractive way. I loved the ease of adding updates at any time with documentation, and it is great that the ability to control permissions adds the necessary protection for boards from modifications and tampering.

Cons

Miro is free of negatives, and it is impossible to slow down when adding or collecting elements.

### "Decent diagramming, missing some features, better than Visio"

June 9, 2025

4.0

Overall, good diagramming software. I wish AWS icons/templates were already included. The integration with Jira is good. Price is okay with the starter plan.

Pros

I like the diagramming/whiteboarding functionality. I like being able to share the board. Basic flowchart is good. I like the emphasis on collaboration. Works with Jira.

Cons

I wish the AWS templates were included. It is a pain to upgrade plans for some AWS icons. Lucidchart is better for this part. The fish bone template needs improvement. I wish I could embed timelines into slide decks/presentations. I wish I could use "tab" to add to the mind map.

We has been satisfied with Miro so far overall. Its great tool for collaboration and creativity. mainly used to draw AWS Cloud architecture diagrams to visualize and future plan of architecture. Their aws icons make it super easy.

Pros

What I like about Miro is how flexible and easy to use. The digital whiteboard is super intuitive, which makes brainstorming and organizing ideas a breeze. There are tons of templates for things like mind maps and flowcharts, so you don't have to start from scratch.

Cons

So many built in objects for creating the perfect board, with more seemingly added on a regular basis. Gets the basics right, such as basic diagrams and flowcharts - but also integrates deeply with Jira etc. Good tool for doing interesting team retrospectives.

### "A powerful platform which is a constant tool I use is my daily work"

November 22, 2024

4.0

My go-to platform which I enjoying working on and using to collaborate with colleagues.

Pros

Miro is a great visual tool to work from! I love that it's super easy to collaborate with colleagues using it (it's really helpful to use during group sessions or workshops!) and there are a ton of different features - even after using it for a couple of years I presume I'm still only scratching the surface of its capabilities. Besides being a fab tool for collaborative working, Miro is an all round handy platform to work from - whether that's to capture your initial draft thoughts on a project, to put together a project timeline, or to vote on actions as a group, the chances are that Miro can help you to document and achieve your goals

Cons

A frustration of mine is that large Miro boards with a lot of content on them can seemingly take forever to load, especially when you have a few of these open. Another drawback is the fact that scrolling around the board can be a dizzying experience for some users.
