Support wasn't great, but the tool does the basics and would be a good option for small businesses that need really basic digital menu boards or basic content playing. Pros I like the ease of digital signage content deployment and setup. Download the app, pair, and push content. Cons Lack of insight to devices, lack of device control, basic user interface. He actually took my call almost 2 years ago on a Sunday.. Pros The customer service we receive from Chad for the last 2 years has been great. He assured me from the beginning thru the entire process at how easy it was and the value was great as well Cons there really isn't anything that i been not happy with. I highly recommend this product to all. Pros I recently signed up for Novisign for our Lobby TV in a condo building. I am continually impressed by the can do attitude of \[sensitive content hidden\] . After discussing the product \[sensitive content hidden\] sent me a link of videos that explained the different programs and applications you can use. I had some difficulty at first but a phone call to \[sensitive content hidden\] cleared it up and my program was up and running. The difficulty setting was operator (my) error. \[sensitive content hidden\] was friendly, helpful and walked me through the stages. I will continue to watch the many videos provided but I am happy to know that it's just a call away if I need help. Cons I really have no cons except I didn't know the difference between an Android TV and an Amazon fire stick, which Novisign explained to me. Pros I enjoyed the ease of content creation and the friendly NoviSign team. Along with this, the software was relatively cheap compared to their competitors. Cons The only issue that I had with NoviSign was that I was not able to easily find certain functions that were offered by the software. To me, if I have trouble finding certain functions, I know that my older colleagues will have a worse time. I upgraded to a re-seller after 3 months, even though the cost is much higher I have been able to sell and create digital signs for others and grow my business. The sales staff (in the US, no staff in Canada) are great and knowledgeable and are eager to help you. And when IT is slow they get involved to speed up the process when needed, which is much appreciated. Cons The service from IT and the unwillingness to upgrade certain features. I have tried/ used three different companies and if there is a way to put the best of each in one system that would be great. Day stamping your image to stop and start at certain times of the day/week or month is difficult to do. I set a reminder on my computer calendar which works because this way I don't forget to bill my clients at months end. Reason for choosing NoviSign NoviSign- cost is reasonable, back-end is easy to use drag and drop using Adobe flash. Some features are dated and need upgrading however widgets are up to date to interact with the audience. It's app based so I can use my phone and show clients what a screen anywhere looks like in real time. Android based so you can buy an android box, make sure it has the proper hardware. This programming can be used in various ways: multi screen, touch screens... Tutorial videos are no charge to learn programming, however some need updating as narrator is dry and monotone, but free so not going to complain. The NoviSign app is available for free download from the PlayStore that comes on Android TV Boxes. Once downloaded, it takes seconds to connect your account. ou can purchase an Android TV Box for as low as $35 and connect that to any TV via HDMI. If you're using a "Smart TV," the trick is making sure it's android based. If it is not an Android Smart TV but rather a "FireTV," then you will need to side-load the NoviSign APK onto the TV. The downside to using a "FireTV" is an inactivity message that FireTV's push out automatically if the screen is on for 6+ hours at a time without changing channels etc. This FireTV generated inactivity message requires someone to use a remote to confirm that yes, the TV is being used. For digital signage, having an inactivity message show up could be problematic because someone has to walk up to the screen to confirm. RM Ryan M.
