We've used it for onboarding, internal upskilling, and instructor-led programs. The flexibility of the platform allows us to design a branded and engaging experience, while the API and automation capabilities help us operate efficiently at scale. There’s some room for improvement in ILT admin workflows, but overall the platform performs well and continues to improve. Pros Docebo is highly customizable—both in how it looks and how it functions. We were able to tailor the learner experience to reflect our brand and workflows. The automation and API options save a lot of admin time, and ILT sessions are easy for learners to access, even on mobile. The support team is also exceptional: responsive, friendly, and very helpful when solving complex needs. Cons Instructor-Led Training (ILT) management still has some limitations on the admin side. For example, there's no built-in automation for session-level enrollment, and the instructor role permissions are broader than needed. We’ve worked around these issues with custom solutions, but native improvements would reduce admin overhead. Exploring gamification looks like it may be promising but honestly, I'm already disappointed that the demo environment presented to us has all sorts of customizations that require external resource/effort to create. As a user, it’s fantastic on mobile: Intuitive, secure, snappy, aesthetically pleasing, and offline mode is awesome. As someone on-the-go, these features are incredibly useful. As an administrator, I’m still learning how to use it. With time and practice, that’ll be resolved. It’s also a bit pricey, but the quality of the product is high. In all, my experience has been very positive and I’d definitely recommend Docebo to others. Pros What I liked best about Docebo is how it’s tailored for the modern learner. It’s very mobile friendly and I especially appreciated offline mode and the simple but effective layout (it looked almost like a streaming app). Archiving/managing the courses was also really easy. And last, being able to integrate with Salesforce is always a plus. Cons As a frequent collaborator with the L&D team, I have limited administrative powers and found configuration to be quite complex. I love that we can brand the homepage ourselves. We have 3 different homepages set up for different companies we work with, which makes them feel like the platform was created just for them; making them feel special. The gamification part of Docebo, makes learning fun and was easy to transition our customer's from the other platform we were using and keep their accumulated game points. Pros I like that it does the job of 3 different programs where I work. Now I can do all my work for my customers in the one platform. I can even send emails and notifications straight from Docebo. I also really like to Docebo Community. If I have a question or am just looking for some tips, I just search the community or post a question in the community and I will get a few replies. But if I don't want to ask the community, there is always someone willing to help from Docebo. Cons As a super admin, I am still not able to look to see what notifications or emails were sent to someone or if they opened the email or not. I would like to have access to notification/email logs. We did put a lot of effort and resources to build out the Docebo LMS, which paid off as we have high engagement, a deep seeded admin and power user team, and the platform has been quickly integrated into company learning quickly. Pros ur team appreciates that there are meaningful enhancements to continually create a better admin and user experience, which is why we have added it to our long-term roadmap. I personally appreciate the admin support chat and email team. Cons the need to have an in-platform authoring tool that is robust, interactive, and has more options and tools. In addition, their pipeline of new features and such is quite good. They keep a close ear to what the market needs. Pros The system itself matches almost all of my company's various L&D requirements. Both internally and externally. To top things off, the support from the account manager and their customer education team is superb. Cons Overall, the system is able to meet our requirements. That said, it would be nice if I can setup admin accounts that come with hands on support coming from the system. A full tutorial experience for other admins so that will handhold them while they're still new. This would lock or consistently/persistently produce pop ups while a main admin feels that the sub admin is still inexperienced. Docebo was comprehensive in training me, but it seems that too many people do not know how to search for documentation on their own. Forcing such individuals to experience a super spoon-fed experience may be what's needed for some individuals. There are great ways to categorize data, and the reporting functionality is very robust. Cons There are many constraints in Docebo that do not appear to have any purpose other than to degrade the experience and make it harder to use. It is a shame that these issues exist as they prevent Docebo from really reaching its full potential. Cons The interface is inconsistent. The entire product feels like a continuous project, which obviously it is, in a way that's not always good. We did not have the ability to contact the platform of our former LMS so even just being able to validate that there isn't a better way (when developing a workaround for a feature not yet available) is very helpful. Pros It's lightyears ahead of our former LMS, but as we grow into using more aspect of the platform, the pain points are more prominent. Cons lack of intuitive reporting (see above, cobble together various reports) and soft deadlines for LPs (IE we can't use days of validity on LPs for this reason). If you have a PowerPoint presentation or PDF that suits the needs for learning, you can load it into the slide converter and it turns it into a trackable e-learning! There are so many benefits you can get from the add ins available and some of them you don’t even need to have their LMS to use. They have really thought out of the box on their Impact Learning! Cons There are small pieces on the site that have potential for growth for example there isn’t a gap analysis tool for the content. This said, they do use their community site for users to log in, share their journeys and add ideas which can be picked up by their developers for future enhancements. May 21, 2024 4.0 Pros Docebo has a lot of features and flexibility. We have the Discover, Coach, and Share packages and Extended Enterprise (which allows up to 50 subdomains). We had a slow ramp-up time, but once we understood what was under the hood, we migrated all 70 clients over to the new system with over 5,000 pieces of content. 10 languages as well, which is another benefit that they offer, the language capability is great as we expand. Cons After working with Docebo for the last three years, I have to say I don't like that they like to charge for a la carte services, instead of including them in a larger package deal. This makes it harder to sell the services to our leadership team. Add-ons keep adding up $$$. The platform itself is solid and will continue to get even better if they are able to continue implementing the features that are on their planned list. My biggest recommendation is to get to a better balance between firming up and fixing current functionality vs. pushing out new functionality. Pros Docebo's user interface is one of the best out there. I was impressed with the clean look and feel of the platform which was reinforced by our learners through their own feedback. Docebo's user experience encourages user adoption and more time in the platform if they can find and view the content they are looking for. Docebo's combination of traditional eLearning content along with it's Channels (corp. youtube type feature) are fantastic. We are looking forward to incorporating gamification to help round our the user experience. Cons Docebo could use some work on the administrator side of the platform. There are quite a few areas where there are way too many clicks or a lack of bulk processes that cause additional work for an administrator. One big item that hasn't made its way into the platform but is apparently in plan, is the ability for an administrator to login as a user, to see what they are seeing or even test what as that user to ensure all works prior to releasing new content, features, etc. Unrelated to the platform, but an area that needs improvement is the Customer Support. Docebo only offers email/ticket management and online chat support. There is currently no phone support and many times issues could be solved if you were just able to talk to someone. Pros Docebo is extremely easy to use in the back and front end. Our main driver in product selection was for a platform that was easy to use and customisable, Docebo ticked both of these boxes. We leverage the custom pages extensively to highlight our different training programmes. The administration is easy and clean to use with enough options for flexibility but no too many so that it becomes overly complicated. Cons There are some areas of the platform which are clearly older such as the user personal summary and the activities area. These areas lack some of the great features which are in other areas of the system, such as filtering and a clean user interface.
