I like getting the notifications when someone is late or may have missed a punch. It's easier to deal with right away than to have to wait till payroll to find out. Pros I'm just a beginner but with the great customer service I have received I feel confident. They literally walk me through all the processes I need and then send me written instruction in case I need it again. Cons Not knowing the that well, I really could't say what I like least. I can easily see if employees have clocked in or out, are at lunch, even when I am out of the office. I can send my payroll report directly to our payroll company to process even when I am on vacation, which is a great big help. And the Pros Ease of use, compatible with our wifi, so no need to hook up to internet Cons Monthly subscription fee, and some employees have more issues than others with clocking in with fingerprints. Presently we make multiple profiles for the same person if they move between departments. Cost of hardware in addition to subscription cost. We have the finger print capability. At first, there were some problems with the scanner not recognizing the prints. When we made sure the employees were leaving their finger long enough (only a few seconds) on the scanner there was no problem. The supervisor just a few days ago called and said how much easier it is to use instead of time cards. I am still finding a lot of extra's in the program. Reports can be run any way you need them. Cons So far I am pleased with the product and have no complaints. Pros this has been so easy to use and anytime I had any question or issue they have been extremely helpful walking me through functions I wanted to do. December 20, 2022 5.0 My overall experience has been excellent. Like any program it does have a bit of a learning curve but for the most part it is very straightforward and fairly easy to figure out. Working with it once it is up and running is amazing though! I love it!! Pros It is well organized and easy to use once it's set up. I was so happy once I got this working, as I can check on employees, do payroll, fix missed punches anywhere that internet is available. Cons The only thing I found a little challenging is sometimes adding new employees to the clock. I will add them on the clock but then have to upload, then download the fingerprint. Gets a little confusing at times. The program does have a good help source though that are usually able to help me through any glitches I run into. Reason for choosing uAttend Reasonably priced. He certainly exemplifies what I have come to expect from uAttend and they "nail it" every time. Pros Outside of the software being extremely intuitive, uAttend has developed several "out of the box" reports to help support many areas within an organization. From controlling overtime to reports that will show workflow, uAttend has made it very difficult to think of other reports that may be needed by their customers. We are very satisfied with our experience. Cons Nothing. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT. My reason for calling the tech support line was because of the new end user agreement that needed to be signed and because the administrators do not regularly login to the software we were locked out. Cons It doesn't integrate directly with QuickBooks Online. There are simple work arounds so this isn't a huge deal. We have two clocks in the office - by each door so that employees can easily punch in/out when they arrive or leave work. We've used this for over five years and love the ease of the tool for my employees. Pros This tool is easy to get set up and easy for employees to punch in and out. I also love that there is an app on their phone so that my installers can punch in/out when they go home from a job site or go straight to a job site in the morning. There are a lot of features that make it easy to use and manage. Cons Entry of information on the time clock (other than punching in/out) is cumbersome and I have to keep notes to remember how to accomplish tasks. I also don't like that I cannot track my supervisors' benefit time off such as vacation time. Pros It is pretty affordable and fairly user friendly - the updates within the last year have all been very good. There has been much improvement as far as being user friendly esp with adding notes and job tracking Cons job tracking functionality is still lacking. not always intuitive for guys on site, mobile application is glitchy, Quickbooks integration is too expensive for small company use. April 2, 2019 5.0 My experience has been great other than the two features above that can use improvement. Now that we have grown, I hope migration to a main account across all of our portfolio isn’t too complicated. Fingers crossed. Overall, the system is reliable and works well and easy to setup once you get all the extra steps down pat. However, it’s hard to teach all these “extra steps” to those don’t do not do initial setup or aren’t a super techie type. Pros I like that it’s simple to setup if you read instructions carefully. Once you set one up, the rest are easy. Cons It can be confusing to teach to others, as the fingerprint templates versus pins can be very confusing to learn. It can take one setting them up several times before they memorize the process. The average hours report should have payroll periods to select instead of having to manually date range it for an accurate report. Fix the date range under this report and I’d give it a higher recommendation. The fingerprint templates should not be as “hidden” and more obvious to the supervisor or admin setting them up, all in one place. Fix both of these and if give it a 10 star rating. December 23, 2022 4.0 Pretty good, but hard to correct it when employees forget to clock in and clock out due to the awkward arrangement of “first clock-in” to “last clock-out” hours, then the need to enter and subtract the “lunch time-out and lunch time-in , or RETURN times. Pros It is possible to track employee work time. Cons Difficult to observe and correct time sheet since it uses SEPARATE first time-in to last time-out, and then you must subtract the lunch time-out and time-in. Printing time sheets is a bit awkward. There is only a tiny word “print” mixed in with several other tiny words about 2/3 thru the sheet. “PRINT” option should stand out from all other options. Keeping track of staff attendance and assisting with payroll just scratches the surface. They're so many features that we have yet to start using, but have taken notice of and understand how helpful they will be to the growth of our organization. The machine itself...for employees that do not want to waste time to punch or think...not the best of machines. Pros Easy to access and make changes. Notifications/bell times for all breaks. Cons Our core time is 8am to 5pm. If an employee leaves before 5pm you must press the 4th out button. Employees get confused or mess up the system by pressing unnecessary buttons. It would be more appropriate to have a card swipe or hand swipe machine for employee ease of use. Would like to access all information on screen to make changes to hours and to print the weekly results on paper (without pressing any buttons on the machine itself).
