### "An affordable solution if you have multiple locations and need an accurate timeclock"

It was a good solution when we needed it. Our company has several remote sites, so we needed a way to be sure our employees showed up on site when they said they did.

Pros

It was a great solution when we needed fingerprint timeclocks. The added convenience of a PIN code was nice when someone had a bad fingerprint!

Cons

We run 24 hours/day, so when an employee would work 6pm-6am, the time would not cut off at midnight and move into the next day at 12:01am. In other words, all 12 hours would show on the night they clocked in, instead of 6 hours for the first day and 6 for the next. This caused some issues because our pay week cut off at midnight each Saturday.

We’ve only been using this time clock for about a week, but based on my experience with multiple time-tracking systems in the customer service industry, I’m very impressed. Considering the price point, it’s fantastic and something I would definitely recommend.

Pros

The app is tech-friendly and very easy to follow. Everything is laid out clearly, which makes it simpler for staff to understand.

Cons

I’d like to be able to track my payroll totals if that option is available. I may have missed where this function is located. I also wanted to have the schedule to be accessible to the app.

### "Shortcomings of uAttend System"

It basically serves our most essential need, but overall experience is anything but satisfactory.

Pros

Affordable pricing. Not much to say beyond the essential functionalities.

Cons

1\. different login windows cause confusion and login difficulties. (some ask for user ID, some as for email, if I am not mistaken). 2. we manage multiple accounts. when logging into another account, we are forced do a search or "find my account" first, which is uniquely incomprehensible, probably reflecting a very obsolete design or approach. 3. hard to find historic data. beyond certain time back, we have to reload page by page to retrieve the record. 4. structure and naming are not intuitive and user friendly. we use very minimal functions and still find it not easy to use. 5. We have approximately 260 staff, about 2% of their clocking fail everyday for some reason. 6. We have been using this portal for nearly a decade and have not seen much improvement made. 7. The clocking devices do work well with facial recognition and mistake employee's identity from time to time.

### "Easy Onboarding and Smooth Timecard Management"

Pros

When onboarding new employees, the process is straightforward, and it’s easy for them to punch in their timecards right away. I can also review everything by pay period without any hassle. The overall speed is pretty good too, so there really aren’t any major issues.

Cons

When I download an individual employee’s timecard, it saves as an HTML file, which is pretty inconvenient. I’d prefer to download it as a PDF, but since that isn’t an option, I end up clicking Print each time and saving it as a PDF manually.

Pros

Easy to use, variety of features to adapt to your company's needs.

Cons

The mobile app sometimes crashed or did not load. The thumbprint scanner would sometimes not recognize our thumbprints.

Easy to track hours and holidays. Easy to use features. Easy customer support chats. Affordable plans for fluctuating seasons. I like that I don’t have to use features that don’t apply to me.

Cons

Admins clock in too! Why can’t they have hours tracked the same way as employees? 2 Factor authentication, I wish there was an option to turn it off. I use a lot of devices.

I love it. We started using this during the COVID-19 pandemic so it has been a great app for myself & co-workers. We still use it during WFH.

Pros

When I work remotely it can keep a track of my log in & out. Also, my lunch break ^ breaks in general.

Cons

That if i work over 9/10+ hrs, it automatically givers me an error. Maybe my company had a certain time frame active.

Pros

The software is passable for clocking in and out of work for employees, though sometimes it seems to have trouble connecting to the network. Usually unplugging the unit and plugging it back in fixes the problem. Having an app component allows employees to check their hours, which is a nice feature, but doesn't solve some of the larger issues with the software

Cons

There is an overall problem with visibility for the user. With a physical timecard with printed times you can easily see your information, and immediately identify problems or discrepancies (like if you forgot to clock in). With Uattend it is difficult to track those, or to know that you made a mistake in the first place. Usually problems aren't discovered until it comes time to do payroll and by then no one remembers their precise hours for a day two weeks ago. Another problem is that there is lag between physically punching in and out and the app displaying your status so, as an employee, you cant tell whether you clocked in or out without using your card, which in turn, clocks you either in or out. You are then locked out for 1 minute. As an administrator, there is not an obvious method for aligning timecard summaries and reports to your pay periods. Within the interface there is not much in the way of guidance as to the features and different ways to interact with and use the collected data.

Overall, we (upper management team) and even our employees love our time clock. This brought us to the new age, whereas our former method of timekeeping was severely antiquated. Although, I mentioned a few glitches (nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement) it really is a great product. The customer service, tech support, and software functionality far outweighs the minor nuances. I highly recommend this product to small and large business alike.

Pros

The program is easy to use, almost error-proof as long as the instructions are followed. The administrator interface is user-friendly and the onscreen layout is easy to navigate. Everything (settings, edits, etc.) is right there, but the setup is clean and not overwhelming or frustrating. I love that fact that it's simple to use for the everyday HR person, but not too simple where it appears to be basic or "dummied down", for lack of a better phrase. The features are amazing; probably my personal favorite. In my industry, we have field employees who work offsite at various locations. The software features allow setting multiple geofences for remote time-keeping and individual accountability.

Cons

This con is both hardware and software related...Our particular unit frequently goes offline and disconnects from the wifi connection. We do not have a large network nor dozens of devices connected, so I nor tech support can seem to explain and eliminate this problem. I've had to call support quite a few times in the past 3-5 months regarding this particular issue. Additionally, the only way to get detailed programming and trouble shooting tips is to contact support when those steps should have been included in the manual. The process for entering wifi passwords to connect the actual time clock is a quite arduous and time-consuming. That can be a bit frustrating considering my frequent connectivity issues.

Pros

For the cost it is not a bad program. I like how it calculates the sick pay and the PTO time and takes it off that is really helpful. I love the chat option as well online if I need help with something that is very helpful.

Cons

Ever since the new layout started about a month or two ago now I have had some issues. I know this is simple issue but I liked how all the hours showed and I didn't have to scroll down. Also, a major issue since the new layout and I was told I would hear back when it gets corrected I have not heard anything so I'm assuming either nobody reached back out or it has not been corrected yet is I used to have the installers be able to approve there timecards and clock IN & OUT for lunch on there phone through the app and since the new layout they can no longer do so. This makes it complicated for me as they work out in the field and it was best for them to approve their timecards and be able to clock In & Out for lunch via the app. I don't see them because I come in after they get here and it's hard for me to catch them to get them to sign their payroll period card come payroll week it was easiest when I had them approve it through the app. I was told since the new layout that it has to be all the employees on the app or all employees not on the app. That to me is just not acceptable when previously it worked out perfectly before the new layout. It was great to have the office employees sign there sheet physically because I see them daily and to have the installers approve them manually through the app. This is a major issue.

With employees in the field and in the office, uAttend has been fantastic with the ability to log into the system in multiple ways and track employee attendance efficiently and correctly.

Pros

The ability and ease of having employees use their fob or app to login to track hours has been fantastic! There are many videos online that can be sent to employees to help with navigating the system but it really is fairly user friendly.

Cons

Once the set up is done it is easy to navigate uAttend and we have had no issues. Any questions an employee has had have been quickly answered.

I've had a good overall experience and would recommend its use to anyone just starting out on using online and electronic tracking of time.

Pros

It is easy to set up and easy for the employees to use. I like the way I am able to manipulate most things if needed. Vacation tracking is easy, however I would like more variables available as to how that vacation or PTO is calculated. I also liked being able to choose how each employee clocks in, whether it is with a passcode, tag, finger print or online.

Cons

I would like to be able to delete a lunch break that wasn't taken

UAttend had the simplicity of just clocking in and out and vacation tracking, which is what I needed the most and the price was right.

I wish I did not buy this. It is difficult to use and is a huge waste of time to make it work. There other systems out there that work better.

Pros

I do not like it and the customer service is not the best. The people on the phone want to argue about how people should be paid.

Cons

The new update makes it more difficult to use. Also, it collects time to the hundredth of an hour and our payroll pays to the tenth of an hour. If I change it to a tenth of an hour, it rolls the time backward which means they get paid before they even get into the building. I spend time EVERY week making adjustments to the time to make it useable.

Pros

We have been using uAttend for over two years now. I find the accessibility of all historical data very helpful. I can easily see the last work day of an employee terminated an year ago for example. It is easy to run reports and keep track of employee's sick days or vacation days, if you have input them of course. Additionally, the little chat they have in the bottom right corner of the screen is extremely helpful. They are very responsive and more often than not are able to resolve an issue within minutes.

Cons

What I dislike is the fact that the information you can put in for the employees is limited. I think it will be more useful to have fields for hire dates, termination dates and so on. Also whenever we have technical issues with the actual clock, the process of mailing us a new one, returning the defective one and in general the time spent on the phone with customer service is quite long. Also, when you put in sign in or out times manually (from the admin side on the computer) it automatically rounds them up which have cost us some hours discrepancies and potential problems with employees. Double check everytime you have to manually input somebody's hours!

Overall I like uAttend because most employees work for their home department so 90% of the time-cards are right. It becomes challenging trying to figure out where regular & OT was worked & thus needs to get paid from when employees work for different but related entities.

Pros

The best part of this software is being able to see time-cards and run reports for employees that work at any of our 4 related entities (with different EINs). The next best thing is their customer support chat, I am always given the info needed and they have a portal that contains so much useful information you can research on your own. The third best thing is the ability for employees to select department transfer to have their time posted to the correct department or location (in our case the departments also indicate the entity)

Cons

My least favorite part is that we do have 4 entities and some employees work in several locations. The software makes you choose a "Home" department for every employee and the down side is that all OT gets subtracted from regular pay column and added to OT column of the HOME department, even if that is not where the OT was worked. I run time-card reports and select employees who work in different locations (separate EIN)

We love it. It is easy to use, has a great mobile app, and makes our timecards easy to collect.

Pros

We have employees at four different branches in four different cities. We have wall/punch clocks at three locations, and use online only at the other one. This allows us to have all our timecards in a centralized system for ease of use.

Cons

If a time clock needs to be reset, it ends up adding another clock into the system. If I don't catch that when it happens, I get charged for the extra clock. That's frustrating.

We mostly have hourly employees and use the time clock to punch in and out. When hourly workers forget to punch in their punch out can be adjusted virtually.

Pros

Managing time cards online nd virtually is ideal for virtual businesses. Also the reporting functionality helps get a great overview of hourly employees - comparison and by employee.

Cons

The physical time clock is a bit difficult to install. Once it is installed, the process runs well.

Love my experience across the board. Saves me so much time & I know it's accurate.

Pros

The ease of our mobile employees working at off site locations and able to punch in with their phone. Plus as admin being able to set up/adjust the GPS radius for mobile punch ins. I no longer have to chase employees for not turning in their timesheets in order to submit payroll.

Cons

On rare occasions employees have said they couldn't punch in/out, so I manually will do it for them. Having a smaller company it's not a big deal and it doesn't happen often, however if we had a much larger employee size that might become an issue.

I have loved uAttend since my Operations Manager subscribed us to the system and your Customer Service Support has always been excellent. (2016) BUT 2019 -- had us LOOKING for another SYSTEM and the Support Team was kind of falling behind that same ?? -- b/c of the CHANGES that were made to the overall input of information and the "non-understanding of your support team"... Thank Goodness -- you returned the data to the "somewhat' original -- it is saving us A LOT of time and "We are so Happy" that you did. Thank you again. We are breathing a lot easier, working without angry faces and shorter time frames. Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hard little working hearts, for working the input of hours, time, dates back to the EASE of which it was.

Pros

I am able to input the hours my employees worked in RECORD Time instead of the HOURS I was having to retype, reask and request DUPLICATE INFO because of the changes that were made.

Cons

The PREVIOUS Changes made it very REDUNDANT, You had to pull up the Timecard Tab for each individual employee, the date and/or the week of work -- for each individual employee. NOT like the original -- it would keep the dates and all we had to look for was the employee -- a "thousand' LESS keystrokes.

Pros

The software works with the timeclock, but also gives us cloud based timekeeping and administration. The employees are able to work from home during inclement weather. Now, I'm able to see when everyone clocked in or out. In the office, the time clock reads fingerprints. The software lets me know if the employee logged in from the timeclock or manually clocked

Cons

It doesn't work with ADP, our payroll provider. I would like to import hours into ADP. Instead I have to manually enter time.
