As the pastor of a smaller church with many responsibilities, I appreciate a product that is easy to learn and use and doesn't cost a fortune. I'd strongly recommend this company and their products to any church looking for a way to keep track of people and projects, communicate with your congregation, and manage a functional and fresh web presence. Pros ChurchTrac provides an unmatched value for the cost of this product. In this segment there are many competitors, but you must pay double or triple what ChurchTrac charges for the same features. Additionally, ChurchTrac has the best support team I've ever worked with. In addition to numerous online help topics and a growing library of videos, support tickets are responded to almost immediately. I've been using this software for more than 5 years, and over time they have continued to update and improve the product. I keep getting a better solution and the price remains consistent. Cons The setup with twilio integration was challenging and ultimately I wish I hadn't gone that route. There are still improvements to be made in this regard, and with the email campaign manager in general. President and CEO Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A System That Is The Best CRM for Ministries, Churches, and Fellowships" March 15, 2026 5.0 My overall experience with ChurchTrac is that I am so grateful that I was able to discover ChurchTrac I believe ten years ago. They have made so many positive updates and improvements to the system. ChurchTrac is our ministry's HUB for everything now and I highly recommend it to all ministries and fellowships. Pros The price you pay for what ChurchTrac provides is the greatest. The give you more than you what you ask for and the customer support is the top. Over the years I have been able to switch from using several programs to now only one. The Ease of Use is great. It is not complicated to learn. The Reports have helped in preparing tax returns to seeing where the ministry is going. Even when it comes to Member Management, this has been an asset. Cons The inability to have more than one way members can donate. It would be great if we could have in addition to Stripe that ChurchTrac uses, to add CashApp, PayPal and Venmo links for contributions. Cons There are some things on the website and app design that are not very user friendly, but the customer service is a great at helping figure it out. They have provided more tools and support than we ever expected. Pros Writing a 5-star review for ChurchTrac is easy. They do so many things well. What caught our attention initially was that is was developed for churches specifically. Our church started to look for just a replacement for our accounting software. The price for a ChurchTrac subscription that included the accounting software that we needed was less than most other accounting software on the market, but it offered more than just accounting software, it included a robust Church Management Software. The other main feature that attracted us to ChurchTrac is that it offers an amazing support network that includes the usual phone support but also webinars, YouTube Videos, online tutorials, and a complete online user guide. After viewing a few of their presentations, it became apparent that they do more than just software support. Much more. They provide ministry support to such an extent that you think that you have hired a consulting firm to help run your ministry smoothly, effectively, and efficiently, and then they throw in a healthy dose of encouragement besides. Cons We have been transitioning to ChurchTrac for about a month now and have not had any negative experiences so far. There is a bit of a learning curve to overcome but not sure what else they could do to expedite the process. The customer support is the best I have ever seen. I attend a small church and I use ChurchTrac for our membership records. I don't use most of what the database can do. I run reports and keep membership data current. When I have a question or problem and contact ChurchTrac for help, they respond almost immediately. The database is friendly to operate and can do anything a church needs for record keeping. Pros ChurchTrac is very church oriented. The database has everything you need to keep track of what's happening in your church. I love the report feature and especially the custom report feature. Cons The cost is a bit pricey for a small church. Especially when you don't use all of the features. I wish ChurchTrac has various versions of the database because we don't use half of the features of the whole program. Cons In the accounting side when you click on a drop down menu the boxes that open up are the same size and color scheme as the boxes in the window. If the drop down menu boxes where offset, and or a contrasting color it would help me find them. I hated having to separate funds from tithes and offerings in order to keep a total available but Church Trac does that for me. Pros It is very user friendly, has great reports, and if you can’t figure something out on your own, there is usually a you tube video to help. Cons Not sure if this is a con but I would have preferred if the expenses not be listed as minuses but rather just appear in the statement as expenses since it is understood they are already expenses. The ease of use and the quick, efficient support makes all the difference. There is never an issue that isn't resolved the very day I send in an inquiry. Invaluable and incredible! Coupled with regular updates and improvements I am able to accomplish my job with confidence and ease. Pros The affordability for a small church is a must. ChurchTrac affords our church to cover all the bases with giving, accounting, mass text/email and people records. On top of that, the customer support can't be beat compared to other major software programs. And I love the applications for webpage and phone app - Connect - another big money saver for us. Cons Sometimes the reports module is somewhat limiting. I wish the 2-Factor authorization would allow for a separate voice number for the user's email/text. We tried the 30 day trial and were very happy with how well supported the programs are with easy-to-find help videos and articles, as well as how responsive their support team is for more convoluted questions. After purchasing one of the packages, their team has continued to reach out to us with tips, suggestions, and even a free zoom call to make sure we are getting started on the right foot. So far it has been a stellar experience!! Pros I love the way the way Churchtrac is set up for church use, everything from how families are grouped together for easy maintenance, to the way the accounting structure is set up, and how easy it is to get giving contributions and other reports run and distributed. We have just started to use the system and can't wait to try the other goodies that we know are available! Cons Some of the entry screens are a bit clunky, and the fly-out menus on the left keep flying into the way of what I'm doing. But those are small things compared to how good the program is.
