My overall experience has been fantastic. Training with \[sensitive content hidden\] has been the fun part and most educational part. They assured us that it wouldn't take long to learn and they were correct. Each time we didn't understand a topic, they were right there to guide us. They have created things, changed things, revised items etc. just to make it work for our team. The entire experience made us feel safe and important as a customer.

Pros

First, New Org is user friendly and quick to learn. I enjoy being able to generate reports for all our programs. It gives us the ability to review reports in different formats. The data is accurate and generates quickly. The system is able to capture case notes and allows us to locate them easily. It meets our overall needs.

Cons

I'm not sure if I have found anything that doesn't satisfy our programs. Each time we had an issue or found something that wasn't working for us, all we needed to do was call \[sensitive content hidden\]. They were able to troubleshoot and find a solution that worked for our team.

We recently made the switch to NewOrg from our previous data management platform. Immediately upon switching, our team knew we had made the right decision. In the past, our data management system had felt like a one-size-fits-none approach to a subject that varies extraordinarily for each organization. We had had to devise ways to ensure our programs’ data fit into their platform, even when the two weren’t compatible. But NewOrg’s platform is customizable to fit our organization’s programs and needs. Our staff was initially hesitant to make the transition to a new software. While we all recognized the need for growth, the learning curve with any new implementation can be intimidating and interrupt workflow. We can happily report that the implementation process and learning curve were both much easier than we anticipated, with the NewOrg team working on an expedited timeline to help us get our most important programs up and running as soon as possible. Whenever we sought help (primarily for user error) NewOrg was responsive and patient as they walked us through the solution. We want to make a special shout-out to \[sensitive content hidden\], who aided us in the implementation, as well as to Jared, who first walked us through NewOrg’s features without pressuring us. Together, they exceeded our expectations and made transitioning feel completely manageable. NewOrg also provided custom manuals for our staff to refer back to the instructions independently. Our previous system only offered a one-time group training recording, which was difficult to follow and allowed for certain details to be forgotten as time went on. In contrast, NewOrg’s customizable manuals are detailed and clear, with step-by-step instructions accompanied by screen shots. This manual has empowered our team in our strides to be data-driven—and when we need extra help, their dedicated customer service team has been timely and helpful. This is such a relief after experiences with other data platforms where customer service takes weeks or even months to answer a ticket. Far from overwhelming, NewOrg’s excellent team made the transition process smooth and even enjoyable.

From our initial sales call through the implementation, the NewOrg staff was friendly, curious, and supportive. Very rarely did we hear that they could not meet our needs, but when the system couldn't do something we asked for, they came up with alternatives. The team was conscious of our tight not-for-profit budget and our small team's schedules. With our implementation complete, NewOrg left us confident that if something changes, they will be there to help us.

Pros

NewOrg is user-friendly and adaptable. It is clearly built with a not-for-profit in mind. The implementation team was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the customization and testing process. They took the time to listen, learn about our organization and all of its quirks, and make our NewOrg work for us. You don't realize how many "exceptions" there are until you talk through a "typical" day or program. NewOrg customized the product to meet our needs without overcomplicating things. The reporting gives us what we need without all of the extra steps we had to do before in excel or google docs. And multiple people can now access the information simultaneously. It's great to have it all in one place!

Cons

We didn't have the need for all of the bells and whistles since we already have systems in place for contacting our clients.

The NewOrg team was phenomenal to work with. From the time we met with their account manager \[sensitive content hidden\] and he asked excellent questions about our agency’s needs, I knew they would be a great candidate for our client database project. He was forthcoming about the strengths and limits of our system, and their prices were better than other systems that didn’t have nearly the same breadth of features. (I would know, I had a spreadsheet of over a dozen platforms I investigated when we were shopping around!) We came with a laundry list of needs for all the different programs we host at our agency, some of which support thousands of clients, operate in tight timeframes, and require all sorts of very specific data to be pulled in very particular ways as we plan detailed outreach inventory lists. We are not technical people. \[sensitive content hidden\] , our implementation consultant, was a lifeline to sanity while they customized our system. We asked her for all sorts of crazy things that the system didn’t usually do (I imagine having us in implementation meetings was like trying to herd cats) but she always found us workarounds and options, and helped to translate our insanity to the custom components to be able to get the data we needed the way we needed it. Love them.

Pros

They’ve got AMAZING people. They care about our agency’s needs and have well-rounded experience in the nonprofit sector that enabled them to give us good advice during implementation - they are such a pleasure to work with. Our NewOrg platform FINALLY put all of our whole client database, reports, and event registration under one pane of glass, and it’s very user-friendly. Even our most technology-adverse volunteers learned it quickly and really like it, and the NewOrg team really listened to us about our priorities for ease of use. Our platform runs smoothly on any device with an internet connection. The tiered user access controls and HIPAA compliant set-up help us to protect confidentiality, and they adjusted everything from our client profile sheets to our event records to our reports custom to our agency’s needs. Their support has always been responsive, honest, and friendly. \[sensitive content hidden\] our implementation consultant, kept our heads attached when we had to translate our agency’s needs into technical requirements. She really advocated for us and came up with creative workarounds with the programming team when we needed weird customizations, and was very on top of sticking to our budget and implementation schedule while we were busy running our community services. NewOrg was more competitively priced, had more features, and customized and tailored the database to our agency’s quirks compared to other offerings. From the start, they made it clear that they’d work within our budget and grow with us as an agency if we rolled out new programs and needed modules or reports added. If you’re a non-profit shopping for client management platforms, they should be at the top of your list.

Cons

We didn’t implement their built-in features for client texting because we already had another platform that we like for that. We also don’t use them for donor management for the same reason. We also don’t use their online client portal, but that’s because most of our clients sign up for events/visit in person.

As a Pathway Manager, my experience with NewOrg has been very positive. It is an essential tool for supervising my team, as it centralizes both academic and financial requests in one place. The robust reporting features allow me to track progress and manage workflows effectively. While some processes require extra steps and I look forward to future features like participant chat, the current development of the participant portal is a major win for transparency. Additionally, their customer support is outstanding and always responsive to our team's needs

I utilize NewOrg on a daily basis to manage my workflow. While the platform offers a wide array of valuable features, its ability to centralize both academic and financial requests is particularly essential to my role. Additionally, the reporting tools allow for versatile data analysis, and the exceptional customer support team consistently provides reliable assistance whenever needed.

Cons

While NewOrg is a valuable daily tool, there are certain features that are currently unavailable, such as an integrated chat function for direct participant communication. Additionally, some workflows currently require extra steps to complete a single process, which can impact overall efficiency.

Pros

I find NewOrg to be very helpful due to its data migration and report creation services. It allows us to keep detailed and confidential client information securely. My favorite feature is the file share, which makes it easy to share or request documents from clients via text and email. This feature helps us track when something is shared, if the participant has opened it, and it stores everything in one place. I appreciate that NewOrg is more affordable and customizable compared to Bonterra. Additionally, the NewOrg Team was super helpful with training material and import, and being able to mirror most of the forms from Bonterra/Apricot was great.

Cons

I do not have anything to add here. The NewOrg team has been very helpful as we transitioned over and we were able to customize the platform to meet our needs.

Our organization provides direct services and NewOrg has helped us spend more time with our patrons instead of getting bogged down in paperwork. The migration to our platform has also made a real difference for our time-management needs, addressing gaps our office had been struggling with. The price is reasonable, and I appreciate how the platform can be tailored to our organization’s needs. I also value the personal touch throughout the experience, from sales through to support.

Pros

From the start, NewOrg has tailored their platform to meet our organization’s needs. Their support team has been incredibly helpful and accommodating whenever we’ve needed changes, and it genuinely feels like they do it all with a smile. Their response time on support tickets is very quick, and they pay close attention to the details to make sure we’re fully supported.

Cons

The only downside I’ve experienced with using NewOrg is that we weren’t fully aware of all its capabilities. We thought we were using the platform to its fullest, but during an annual review with their staff, we realized it can do much more. In particular, it offers additional support for our end-of-month reports that we hadn’t been taking advantage of.
