Pros

I like the ease in documentation and treatment planning and the option to attach documents for clients and client being able to upload documents to share with me. Counsol is also one of the most affordable ERS system that I have used.

Cons

The least thing I like about counsol.com is the client dashboard, because it looks very generic and basic.

Pros

I appreciate the array of options that are offered. I see the benefits of having such things as journal, billing and payments for the month. These features are amazing for the therapist as well as for the clients.

Cons

It can be very challenging navigating the system. After using it a while, I am challenged how to access tabs the most efficiently way. Additionally, it would be amazing to have an app for this platform. Lastly, I’d love to be able to offer the link to multiple clients who are not in the same location.

Great, I am very pleased that I chose CounSol for my practice.

Pros

I love that everything I need to run my business is in one place (patient info, scheduling, billing, legal paperwork, messaging, session/financial trends, internal notes, etc.); also, when I do have a question, my rep responds to my emails exceptionally quickly and thoroughly answers my questions/provides detailed info to address my issue.

Cons

It takes a bit of time to learn how to navigate through all of the features that make CounSol user friendly, and until you do, it can be frustrating.

It has been easy to adapt to this platform, and I can't say enough about the customer service from day 1! My account manager has helped me so much in running my business more smoothly.

Pros

The customer service with CounSol is outstanding! My account manager, \[sensitive content hidden\], has been available so many times with concise, quick answers to all kinds of questions about the system. I learn best in this fashion and I can't thank Counsel enough for providing this helpful provider support! They have been fair in their pricing and have offered me all the features I need.

Cons

The one issue for me thus far, has been the fact that CounSol is only connected with Office Ally to submit insurance claims. Office Ally is now charging providers to submit some claims versus other clearinghouses that do not.

They are a great program and the staff area always attentive. No complaints.

Pros

I run a practice that provides group sessions, approximately 14 a week. Counsol gives the ability to great group, and complete group progress notes for all members. Other few platforms I have tried also provide group option, but Counsol makes it the most easiest.

Cons

Difficult to say. Many of our issues were resolved within a few hours.

Pros

I like having a very responsive account manager in Matt. I also value the help documents that I can print out and refer back to. There are a lot of features that help automate the intake process and tracks when things are due - treatment plans etc. The cost is manageable when changing from the non-insurance plan to the insurance processing plan ($10 increase per month).

Cons

I find it cumbersome to create the client forms, internal forms, printed assessments. It is not as user friendly as dragging/dropping a fillable PDF. My account manager has offered to help with setting up forms, so that has been nice. Not being able to edit/add to the progress note template to include specific information that are requirements for specific insurance companies. There is no ability to send HIPAA compliant faxes to other providers.

I havae been with counsol for many years and have never had a complaint. The customer service is excellent. When I reach out for help or answers I receive it within a 24 hour or less period. It is an easy to use platform. Secure HIPPA. Good instructions, professional, respectful and helpful.

Pros

There are so many things I like about CounSol. It is clear and easy to navigate through. It is very secure. It offers the client a private journal and an email service for the client to keep in touch with their therapist when needed between sessions.

Cons

There is nothing that I don't like about CounSol.

Overall experience has been great from usability to customer service. I am able to have all I need in one program, which helps with overhead costs and saves time in having to switch between programs.

Pros

This EMR is very user friendly and meets the needs of my solo private practice. Whenever needed, I have always appreciated the personal customer service I have received from my assigned representative.

Cons

In the beginning, I had trouble with creating forms - the process seemed more complicated than other programs I had used or tried. It was more work up front, but now it is easy to edit and use the forms.

### "Best decision I made when I set up my private practice."

With CounSol.com I have been able to maintain a completely paper-free practice for the past 5 years. There has not yet been a circumstance which I have been unable to manage easily within this EHR, including the occasional complicated insurance situation. I trialed and reviewed MANY EHR's before I chose CounSol.com. I have not regretted this choice for a second.

Pros

The ease of on-boarding new patients with all the necessary forms and disclosures, including several customized assessments and forms which I rely on. Even my elderly patients have no issues accessing the portal and completing the necessary intake forms. I also really appreciate the simplicity of submitting insurance claims and the seamless accounting for payments received. Amazing customer service- inquiries are responded to by a real person super quickly. Most questions have been able to be answered by a quick email, but the customer service is also extremely accessible by phone.

Cons

The interface is slightly less "slick" thank competitors- but it is also very easy to read and navigate.

Very user friendly and simple to use. I shopped around quite a bit before I decided on Counsol. After reviewing other options, I went with Counsol because it was very user friendly and the pricing was fair

Cons

I wish there was a mobile app for which I could download from an app store (like when I am using it on an ipad, for example).

My overall experience is good enough that I have remained a CounSol user for 11 years. I started as an individual practitioner and have grown a group practice, all with CounSol.

Pros

I find that CounSol is unique in having a dedicated customer service helper who responds incredibly quickly. I like how we can create as many of our own forms as we want, and all of the features for assigning forms and documents. I really like the transparency of cost, and since we don't pay per client, it is very cost effective for a growing practice. Our clients love the client portal, and we find the journal system a helpful feature as well, especially for clients who want to be in touch without having to respond (we respond to messages). We like the portal for our email with clients. The billing system works very well too. I guess we pretty much like everything.

Cons

I think CounSol has a dated appearance (skin), however the features are so good, and the look is easy to navigate.

I like that CounSol did not charge additional per use credit card fees, did not charge per use Office Ally fees for billing, and also that we could have unlimited number of active and inactive clients without paying extra or having to close client files early.

I’ve been with CounSol for more than 10 years and have been completely happy with them.

Pros

I appreciate the user friendly interface and the amazing customer support.

Cons

I think the list of forms in the client portal could be improved since clients seem to get confused about whether they need to complete the optional forms (such as the Release of Information). It would be nice if there was a way to have interactive forms so a client could answer a few basic questions and that would then trigger which other forms should be required.

My experience with CounSol has been fabulous. The platform is professional, offers a quick turn-around with Support Tickets, and has provided a model that allows for contact with a consistent customer support rep. This has been helpful b/c following up with questions/comments is done with ease; there is no familiarizing someone "new" to the case/issue. The portal is easy to use and directions are concise and direct with screenshots that provide visual aide to those who need it (me!). I have recommended CounSol to others and have shared that it one of the most professional, clear and helpful EHR's I have used (I have been in the field since 2008).

Pros

Having a consistent customer service representative who becomes familiar with your business needs and assists with troubleshooting when issues arise. Kudos to \[sensitive content hidden\] for rapid responses, checking on system issues the few times they have occurred, and guiding me through processes with which I was unfamiliar prior to working with him through my subscription with CounSol.

Cons

I would like to have more drop down features in the notes section (sxs, bxs, feedback/interventions, and specific examples of progress). Maybe be able to click on sxs or examples of progress and then add a related comment.

It has been dependable and consistent. Tech support has been responsive and helpful. It is reasonably proced and has worked well for my practice.

Pros

They have been very responsive with my requests for practice-specific changes to the interface. The platform is intuitive and easy to use. It has been reliable, and I have not really run into any major glitches or tech issues. The formatting for case notes is great.

Cons

The credit card processing was burdensome because of the PCI compliance processes. That is, I was required to complete lengthy documents, certifying that I would do things (e.g., maintain PCI manuals) that I doubt almost any CounSol users are actually doing. Because of this, I do not use the CounSol credit card processing component. I also think that the client interface could be improved--e.g., improved aesthetic and intuitiveness. I also really wish it allowed therapists to email clients forms for electronic approval. Right now, I used a separate service to do this.

Really affordable, personalized support, user friendly

Pros

It's affordable and has all the things I need. It's generally user friendly. I love the one-on-one support. My rep has been great.

Cons

The virtual platform is not very good, it has a lot of bugs. Doxy.me (free) works way better. I'd like the form creation to be more intuitive to set up. I still haven't set anything up because it's such a hassle. It would be nice if there were standard forms (PHQ9, GAD7) already created.

Overall, I love CounSol and recommend it any time some is looking for an EHR. It is less well known than some of the others, but if someone is willing to take advantage of the free trial, they won’t be disappointed.

Pros

I have been using CounSol for seven years and one of my favorite things about the company is the responsiveness of customer support and that they are always adding new and helpful features as they grow.

Cons

For me, the built in video platform is not always reliable with some clients. They have a hard time with the synch being off , or losing connection randomly.

I appreciate the platform’s ease of use and the wide range of features that support my small business needs. It offers excellent value for the cost, especially when compared to similar platforms. While the video services require an additional fee, this has been a minimal issue given the overall quality and convenience the platform provides.

Overall I really like CounSol.com. It's a powerful tool that allows nearly everything I need to run my practice.

Pros

Billing is really easy. I have a contact person who can answer questions. There's a great deal of flexibility for entering forms.

Cons

Some of the things are not very intuitive. Most of the time I try to figure out how to do something via help I wind up asking my contact what to do. Usually there's a solution, but sometimes the site doesn't allow what I want to do. The video on the site was convenient, but ultimately connection was too unreliable and I had to move to Zoom and that does work better.

Cons

It can be tricky when you have multiple rates for your client database. I needed help from customer support and Josh spent quality time helping me with this.

My clients really like using the client portal for online scheduling, and I love having the ability to keep all of my client records in one place. The CounSol staff have always been very responsive, as well.
