Pros

The ability to easily communicate with all/part of our membership as well as the robust membership data management system.

Cons

Can be very complex in completing tasks associated with managing membership data especially in setting automatic membership expiration notifications and billing.

Overall, I like GrowthZone. It is easy to use. You have excellent customer service over the phone and through chat. Not so much via email.

Pros

I like the ease of use and the integration to QuickBooks.

Cons

There is such a lag time between emailing support and finally getting a response. Chat support is much faster but sometimes I don't have time to sit and wait to chat so I'll send an email. Getting an email response takes way to long though.

Overall I like GrowthZone very much. It took me quite a while and a lot of frustration to figure it out and I'm still learning things, but it has greatly improved my billing and communication with members.

Pros

Having all my membership information organized in one place.

Cons

So many things seem to require too many steps to make them work correctly. Some things that seem to me should be automatic are not.

I started out with ChamberMaster at a previous Chamber, and now have GrowthZone at my current post. Many things are the same yet still just different enough to be frustrating. BUT....after 3-4 years, I'm pretty much getting used to GZ.

Pros

There are many, many "things" that can be handled through GrowthZone, though a few other "things" would be nice for our types of industry.

Cons

The Customer Service turnaround time is very lax. I don't understand why GZ has elected to CLOSE on a Wednesday.....most likely one of the busiest "Chamber" days of the week, leaving many in the lurch, awaiting responses in a more timely manner.

### "GrowthZone was a Game Changer for My Organization"

I went from using a very complex system that required a lot of customization on my part to GrowthZone that had everything built in. So complicated in fact that no other staff members knew how to do anything on the admin side. With GrowthZone, everyone on staff can be comfortable working in the program. Things are more seamless - easily seeing your members and their activities, groups, billings and registrations. Everything is all "under one roof" - membership, meeting registration, committees, document storage, forms and surveys, marketing automation plus other available modules that I am not using like certifications, fundraising and more. Switching to GrowthZone saved an incredible amount of time for my team and is super easy to learn - it's very intuitive. However, if you can't figure it out, the documentation and available training videos are abundant! Which was also completely lacking from my old system. I have recommended it to several association leaders.

Pros

There is so much functionality I didn't even realize I needed and now couldn't live without. It has quite truly saved my staff and me a lot of time.

Cons

There are still some glitches here and there, and some other features that I would like to see added since they seem (to me at least) to be basic and logical additions.

### "Review of GrowthZone"

Overall it has been great. We came from a very old and outdated AMS and this has been a wonderful transition.

Pros

It is very user friendly. Easy to create emails, easy to update the front end of the website, etc. It also has nice features such as marketing automation and sponsor ads.

Cons

There are a few things that don't work as one would hope, but GZ is good about making updates. The customer service through email is very very slow. It takes weeks to get a response back.

### "Why is GZ different? Answer ..... Customer Service Team!"

i started using GZ 4 days before the pandemic was announced by WHO. i had ZERO training or knowledge of GZ. My lifeline was the support team. I was in the chat several times a day, i took all courses offered (more than once) and documented everything i discussed with the customer service team. If it would not have been the TREMENDOUS customer support, i would not have succeeded in getting the client up and running as quickly as i did. AND they never spoke to me in a tone that would have indicated "you should know this". They were always willing to walk me through the basics and over time, my questions grew and more complicated. Through it all, the customer service team is an extension of me and they make me better and smarter each time i call. They are what makes GZ different from other providers. THANK YOU!

\- customer service - online help (old wiki) - training courses - ease of processing memberships - continuity of the flow of membership data

Cons

\- cannot add custom fields - some module areas are not very flexible or user friendly - basic reports are missing the ability to add fields that show up on other reports - you cannot undo a mistake - would love to have an option on the tool bar to see the last few records you were on so you dont have to continue to toggle back and forth

I was told the previous system was antiquated and was not able to do the majority of what needs to be done when managing a nonprofit. They did not have customer service per se and it was hard to manage the data efficiently and effectively.

### "Robust - user friendly system"

We moved from ChamberMaster to Growthzone and have loved it. Having a one-stop shop for all AR (as we do this for 5 separate companies). Being able to have multiple invoices and bank accounts - wow!

Pros

The user friendly platform is so easy to navigate

Cons

Event check-in is very cumbersome with a 2-part system - takes too long to check people in when you have a long line

### "Easy to learn and track member info"

Very positive. Much easier to navigate than our previous system.

Pros

Easy tracking of events, members and visibility of the Info Hub to members. The knowledge base to research answers to common questions is very appreciated.

Cons

Having to update the same information in multiple locations when a member updates their info. Would also appreciate more detailed information on the invoices so that members can understand the time period covered for annual dues.

We are a small national association with only eight employees. GrowthZone has been a terrific partner for us as our first AMS. We have no regrets in making this decision two years ago.

Pros

GrowthZone is intuitive on the user end, and the support for our internal staff is outstanding. The user support team is accommodating in ensuring our successful implementation of the various parts of the platform.

Cons

The time it took for our onboarding process was not a GrowthZone issue. This is our first AMS, and preparing for the new platform required a lot of heavy lifting from our staff.

### "A powerful tool that I am not yet able to use to it's full potential "

Overall it has simplified several processes and removed overlapping ones. I need more in depth training because there are resources I cannot use effectively without being able to ask specific questions. I do have good luck with quick responses to specific issues from Chat Support.

Pros

The ability to streamline a lot of processes that are time consuming or redundant

Cons

The accounting integration (or lack thereof). I also wish there had been more hands on training when I was setting up (I have been a user for several years) but as a single employee entity we weren't able to devote as much time and now that we have more time and need more in depth training is sometimes cost prohibitive.

I have had a very good experience with GrowthZone. When I need help they are always so nice and helpful. There is never going to be a product that can do 100% of what you want 100% of the time. Considering the ease of use this product meets most of our needs. Growthzone has reached out to me several times over the course of 2 years for my thoughts about future improvements, etc. I really appreciate that and feel like I have a voice with GZ.

Pros

I love that our database, events, and billing all sync. If someone registers for an event and changes their organization for example it is so easy to get everything updated and keep the database clean.

Cons

I wish the events module was more robust, especially for conferences with exhibitors. It is very basic now.

Growth Zone has been extremely pleasant to deal with and while there have been some growing pains, things are working out well over our last year in the system.

Pros

This membership system is very easy to work with and if there are problems, the support system is top notch with the live chat and then a transcript of what was discussed. The video library has many useful sessions.

Cons

I would like to see a better way to show memberships to have a more accurate representation of numbers that are what is showing in M1.

It is easy for me to manage my member base, send out communication, log billing and print billing, manage my contacts, etc! As someone who has never used GrowthZone before, I was pleasantly surprised to learn how simple it is to manage my day to day tasks.

Pros

It is very organized and easy for me to access throughout the day. I enjoy being able to pull up records from larger companies that have sister companies below them all together and in one place.

Cons

Administrative sections and troubleshooting can get tricky for me at times.

I am overall happy with Growth Zone and would definitely recommend it to anyone that's looking for an AMS system.

Pros

I love that everything is in one place and I can run very helpful reports. I love that it syncs with M1 and our MLS- which is SO important.

Cons

I don't utilize the full billing functionality because I haven't had time to set up and use fully. I did just recently learn some new things - which I grateful for but could use more suggestions and helps.

GrowthZone has been a great way for our members to see exactly what is happening at the Chamber and is a great way for them to get their business information out to other Chamber members.

Pros

It is a great way to keep track of everyone and all of our events.

Cons

Some of the features are a little hard to figure out but I am learning.

### "Growthzone Review"

I like it, I've used many CRM's, including, SalesForce, Anasazi, Community Care Link, and more, and this one performs on roughly the same level.

Pros

It is fairly straight forward to use and the membership/contact mgmt is top notch.

Cons

It is still fairly bland as far as appearances go, especially on the front end. I think reporting could be made easier especially in membership fee accounting.

### "Great experience working with GrowthZone!"

I have enjoyed my overall experience with GrowthZone. I would recommend this platform to other organizations, especially nonprofit organizations.

Pros

The platform is user-friendly because it is easy to navigate. I create our bi-weekly newsletter and schedule networking events as well as quarterly luncheons. I can create a flyer on Canva and easily upload the documents to GrowthZone.

Cons

I create newsletters; sometimes, it isn't easy to control the spacing between text, so the email often has dead space. The newsletter is still nice.
