We are still onboarding, but we are confident this will revolutionize how we currently do business. Getting started with Growthzne has been such a great experience! From day one, the team has been welcoming, patient, and easy to work with. They walk us through every step, answer our questions quickly, and make sure we actually understand what’s happening—not just check boxes. What we’ve loved most is how personal it feels. They really listen to our needs and tailor things so it fits us, instead of just giving a one-size-fits-all plan. The process feels organized but not overwhelming, and their energy makes it easy to stay excited about what’s ahead. So far, onboarding has been smooth, supportive, and even fun—we can already tell Growthzne is going to be a great partner for us moving forward!

Pros

We love the membership management capabilities and the one on one onboarding support we have received so far.

Cons

I would love if it integrated with a print on demand company to be able to use for the storefront to create non dues revenue.

It's been up and down. Wish we had more support or a rep assigned to us. We have unresolved issues with billing that have been ongoing for many months.

Pros

Many needed features in one platform like billing, communication, website, member hub, and event registration with full integration. Website builder is easy to use. The platform is overall easy to use and training is available.

Cons

Unresolved support tickets, long wait for support response. We've been unable to run billing or we have had to run billing with errors.

Pros

I like the simplicity of user engagement. The entire database is easy to navigate. From the business and financial side to website design, the process has been easy.

Cons

My organization hasn't been with long enough to be able to answer this question. I'm sure I'll have more to say in the next few months.

### "A much needed AMS System."

Cons

1\. Site speed. I often find that I am moving faster than the system can keep up. We get the "spinning wheel" quite frequently. It seemed that the site moved faster with the old look. 2. Integration Issues with m1.

### "Excellent software. Onboarding needs improvement."

Mostly good, however, the amount of training as well as the onboarding process itself is not sufficient. Some training could be offered virtually, open to all customers (rather than our weekly Q&A with our assigned trainer). And by the way, looking for recorded videos in the knowledge base is not a substitute for holding a Zoom training session that participants can log in to and interact with an instructor... Almost a year later, we still feel like there is a lot we don't know, and we end up having to call customer support and often are on hold for an hour -- that aspect is terrible. We used up most of our initial 90 days compiling our data list... even though we disclosed at the onset that our data would not be ready for import for quite some time. Looking back, it would have been better if our trainer suggested postponing our kick off meeting until our data was ready. Alternatively, we would have liked to have seen a sample database with made-up contacts that we could explore. That would have enabled us to test drive the system and better understand how it works prior to our kick off meeting. In general, the software is very good, although there are some significant gaps. Our onboarding experience was very poor, although our second trainer was much, much better. Ongoing support is difficult and time consuming. I've used Constant Contact for 15 years and their customer support is much better -- I've never had to wait for help for more than 5 minutes. In summary, the software is excellent. Communications and training need improvement, and rethinking how you onboard new customers would likely improve retention and increase referrals.

Pros

The software is very robust and has enabled us to build out the infrastructure we needed.

Cons

in some aspects the software is too rigid. We'd like to be able to customize some areas, or at least have the ability to modify. Some configurations seem oddly ineffective, or illogical. We share feedback, but it doesn't seem to have any input.

### "Good Product/Poor Customer Service"

I think the product is generally good and can do what we need. I would like to see the issues noted above addressed. I think a quarterly check-in call with a customer service rep to go over any user questions and educate us on whether we are using the product to the extent we should be would be appreciated and certainly enable me to give and solid 9 or 10

Pros

It is fairly user friendly. We switched to from our previous system because it had all the features we wanted. The set up experience was great and our representative was very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with.

Cons

It is impossible to reach a real person in customer service. When I reach out via telephone or chat it is always for something that is time sensitive, and that I cannot find in the Knowledge Center. I am not reaching out unless it is something that is important to the operations or our association and it is very aggravating to stay on hold forever and sometimes never reach a support person or get a call back. If the question is not urgent, I'm happy to use email. I actually have an item right now that is too complicated to put in either a chat or email that I need help with however I don't have 2 hours to sit on hold. I will probably try to call tomorrow to see if things have gotten any better.

### "As we become more intentional, we have had challenges"

The platform can be tremendously cumbersome. Little inefficiencies compound and become frustrating. Help tickets often take significant time for a response. We've had some wonky things happen that haven't been explainable. That being said, since we are using GZ more broadly than we did a year ago, we have been able to drop other memberships (Mail Chimp, Event Brite, etc).

Pros

Website and email integration. The ability to easily send emails to our database via lists - while also analyzing open rates is great. Having membership information and events publish directly to the website ensures accuracy and reporting.

Cons

The website is horribly slow and cumbersome to update. The email designer is not user-friendly. Line spacing, in particular, is not consistent and on occasion is not reflective of preview drafts. I have difficulty creating custom reports. It would be beneficial to have the option to not send confirmation emails to members when registration changes occur. Likewise, a question to not automatically refund payments would be beneficial. When "back end" changes need to be made, the member doesn't need to know. The ability to customize formatting in the email designer and the website integration via a program similar to MS Word would be WAY better. Connecting custom invoices to an event would be helpful. There are a number of additional items we need to be able to track for grant reporting that could use fields - NAICS codes, logging assistance time with a member, number of employees, gross sales, and demographic information are all items we need. The ability to create and distribute surveys would be helpful.

### "Great Out-of-the-Box AMS for Small Companies!"

Overall experience has been great! Able to do almost everything we need, or we can find a good workaround usually.

Pros

It's a great out-of-the-box solution that does almost everything we need our AMS to do! Price is great, and customer service easy to work with. Can also update your website at no cost every 3 years!

Cons

Sometimes customer service can take some time to respond. No custom solutions available. Some support reps are more knowledgable than others so keep that in mind.

### "Thankful for GrowthZone!"

Transition to a new system is never easy, but \[sensitive content hidden\], who helped us with the conversion was very helpful and we are really feeling fairly well versed after almost a year of operating. I think Nov. 8 will be the anniversary to our graduation day last year!

Pros

I like the ease of tracking and recording keeping including notes and activity levels, etc. It really provides a large amount of information (if we capture the info) that can be stored all in one place!

Cons

I haven't found a least item yet. I guess my least favorite thing is trying to make our old terminology match with yours and trying to get our minds on the right track to operating the way GZ is intended.

Overall, I like . It is easy to use. You have excellent customer service over the phone and through chat. Not so much via email.

Pros

I like the ease of use and the integration to QuickBooks.

Cons

There is such a lag time between emailing support and finally getting a response. Chat support is much faster but sometimes I don't have time to sit and wait to chat so I'll send an email. Getting an email response takes way to long though.

Overall it has been great. We came from a very old and outdated AMS and this has been a wonderful transition.

Pros

It is very user friendly. Easy to create emails, easy to update the front end of the website, etc. It also has nice features such as marketing automation and sponsor ads.

Cons

There are a few things that don't work as one would hope, but GZ is good about making updates. The customer service through email is very very slow. It takes weeks to get a response back.

### "GrowthZone was a Game Changer for My Organization"

I went from using a very complex system that required a lot of customization on my part to that had everything built in. So complicated in fact that no other staff members knew how to do anything on the admin side. With GrowthZone, everyone on staff can be comfortable working in the program. Things are more seamless - easily seeing your members and their activities, groups, billings and registrations. Everything is all "under one roof" - membership, meeting registration, committees, document storage, forms and surveys, marketing automation plus other available modules that I am not using like certifications, fundraising and more. Switching to GrowthZone saved an incredible amount of time for my team and is super easy to learn - it's very intuitive. However, if you can't figure it out, the documentation and available training videos are abundant! Which was also completely lacking from my old system. I have recommended it to several association leaders.

Pros

There is so much functionality I didn't even realize I needed and now couldn't live without. It has quite truly saved my staff and me a lot of time.

Cons

There are still some glitches here and there, and some other features that I would like to see added since they seem (to me at least) to be basic and logical additions.

Overall it has been very positive. The onboarding and training resources are very valuable and I also appreciate the ongoing webinars to stay on top of the new and existing features that I might now be aware of.

Pros

I am a new user of . As I am delving into its features, I am becoming more and more impressed with the intuitiveness of the platform. Most of the things I wish to try and do within are all doable and very common sense to find and do.

Cons

The biggest disappointment for me is that it is not automatically linked to my Microsoft Outlook account. This would be a huge help as a feature down the road.

### "Growthzone is my friend"

Overall, I’d rate it a 7/10. Score would be higher if it mixed well with other programs. Clients seem to like it when they sign up for events.

Pros

The system is very easy to navigate from tab to tab. The reports feature is extremely user friendly.

Cons

I wish there was an option to integrate with Quickbooks. I understand GZ has a payment portion but I wish they could work together.

the ACH options seems cumbersone and other finanacial options are not as clear as they should be but not major issues

I started out with ChamberMaster at a previous Chamber, and now have at my current post. Many things are the same yet still just different enough to be frustrating. BUT....after 3-4 years, I'm pretty much getting used to GZ.

Pros

There are many, many "things" that can be handled through , though a few other "things" would be nice for our types of industry.

Cons

The Customer Service turnaround time is very lax. I don't understand why GZ has elected to CLOSE on a Wednesday.....most likely one of the busiest "Chamber" days of the week, leaving many in the lurch, awaiting responses in a more timely manner.

We are a small national association with only eight employees. has been a terrific partner for us as our first AMS. We have no regrets in making this decision two years ago.

Pros

is intuitive on the user end, and the support for our internal staff is outstanding. The user support team is accommodating in ensuring our successful implementation of the various parts of the platform.

Cons

The time it took for our onboarding process was not a issue. This is our first AMS, and preparing for the new platform required a lot of heavy lifting from our staff.

I have had a very good experience with . When I need help they are always so nice and helpful. There is never going to be a product that can do 100% of what you want 100% of the time. Considering the ease of use this product meets most of our needs. Growthzone has reached out to me several times over the course of 2 years for my thoughts about future improvements, etc. I really appreciate that and feel like I have a voice with GZ.

Pros

I love that our database, events, and billing all sync. If someone registers for an event and changes their organization for example it is so easy to get everything updated and keep the database clean.

Cons

I wish the events module was more robust, especially for conferences with exhibitors. It is very basic now.

Overall it's been a good experience. Having a mostly automated way to send invoices once a year has been great for us. Also having a central place for event registrations has been something that we've needed and didn't realize to what extent until using .

Pros

Their customer service is top notch. They are extremely intentional about the way they handle any question or concern and are very quick with their response time.

Cons

The support manuals. Some don't give enough detail and others are outdated. It would be also helpful to have more information/examples on the accounting process and a more robust proof-reader for spelling/sentence errors. The email templates can be confusing.

### "Great program with a ton of features!"

Very good. Need more time/training to use more functionality.

Pros

It's an intuitive format that anyone can 'pick up' with very little training.

Cons

It's loaded with features and content. That's good! I'm in a one person Chamber so it makes it a little difficult to spend the necessary time to dive deeper into the functionality while accomplishing my day-to-day duties. I'd like to have some training and have it provided for very little, to no, cost because we are a small, rural Chamber and I recently took over this position.
