### "Benefits of using Maintenance Connection"

November 7, 2018

4.0

We are using the desktop version to plan and analyse our PM strategy and work orders. The trades staff on the floor use the mobile version which will run on most tablets via a standard browser at all our plants to record all breakdowns of assets which is then analysed each month to identify reoccuring faults or assets that are regularly failing. A strategy is then put in place to eliminate the root cause of the issue. The trades staff can also access asset information via the tablet (such as manuals, procedures) that are directly linked to the asset or the work order. We are now seeing huge gains in efficiencies in the inventory section of our business due to the automatic reorder functionality for inventory as the trades staff directly book out parts used. once a work order is entered on the tablet, the trades staff can look up parts that are used on that asset and see how many of those parts are in stock and the location of the bin in the store .

Pros

The ease of use in the configuration of MC is far better than what I experienced with different vendor. Most user options are a setting that the local administrator can change via a tick box option. The in built reporting and dashboard suite are very easy to pick up and customise reports and dashboards to your companies individual needs

Cons

The only problem I have found with the software is now that we are starting to use more features of the program at a higher level we are finding small bugs. These bugs don't affect the basic functionality and the support staff are brilliant in identifying the issues and passing the issues on to the developers to develop a fix.

### "Built from the ground up as a CMMS, you can tell every details has been considered by folks who worked in the field. "

December 18, 2025

5.0

I've used other CMMSs and MC is I think my 6th and it's the best out of all of them, it's highly functional, work orders carry so much more capability and are easy for technicians

Pros

I like how functional it is and how a lot of various scenarios have been thought out in the field and solved in Maintenance Connection. I also like how easy it is to navigate around.

Cons

No cycle count function for inventory management. I notice filters sometimes don't work. I think the overall user interface is slightly outdated, however the UI design is relatively functional, there is really no "Bloat" or unnecessary graphics or colors when using MC.

Reason for choosing Maintenance Connection

Easy of use, highly functional, cost per concurrent user, customization, requires no IT support to implement.

Not functional enough, not user friendly, required our IT department to roll out to sites. Too complicated to perform any task or retrieve any information from.

### "worth a try"

February 24, 2026

3.0

i enjoy the system it has taught me alot especially with the accruent accademy but there is just alot of systems or processes that just are not necessary.

Pros

customer support, easy to use once you get used to it, the team can get on and see whats pending and over due especailly with this 2026 update.

Cons

the system is very hard to navigate, sometime the work orders/PMs dont generate, sometimes PM's double publish for no reason, or not on time. there is a time difference of when someone imputs a work order to when it gets published its a bad thing especially when its a high priority item.

### "A lot of great KPI options, Huge Learning Curve to get Right...."

February 24, 2026

3.0

Process Automation of PM's are not intuitive. Cannot seem to control when it start verses target date of specific pm to accurately track KPI's

Pros

All the options that are available to really track important KPI's, expenses, parts, team members, as well as different layers of user access and work order generation.

Cons

It is not user intuitive to use, some simple things are buried in categories that are not logical. User interface not as robust. Setting up PM's, the prime use i feel for this type of product, is not very easy to set up nor control

### "Excellent Work Order, Asset, Reporting and Preventative Maintenance System"

December 18, 2025

5.0

The experience has been awesome! I'm the administrator to Maintenance Connection for Jacobs Engineering. I'm on the Villages Florida project. We use this system consistently.

Pros

Everything! I've been using this system for 12+ years. It gets better every year. I love the reporting and the asset module, and of course, the work order and preventative maintenance scheduling!

Cons

There is really nothing I dislike about Maintenance Connection. If I have issues with the system in general, I would like to see better solutions with Accruent.

### "Maintenance Connection – End-User Feedback"

December 18, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with Maintenance Connection has been positive. It provides a reliable system for managing work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset history, which supports better organization, accountability, and compliance. While there is a learning curve and some processes can feel time-consuming, the system is effective once users are familiar with it and helps improve visibility and consistency across maintenance operations.

Pros

Maintenance Connection provides a centralized platform for tracking work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset history, which helps improve organization and visibility across maintenance activities.

Cons

The system can feel cumbersome at times, particularly when entering or updating work orders, as it requires multiple steps and fields. Navigation is not always intuitive, which can slow down technicians in the field, and some features are not as user-friendly on mobile devices. Reporting and customization can also be limited without administrative support, making it harder to quickly tailor the system to specific site needs.

Alternatives considered

[Fiix](https://www.capterra.com/p/74916/Fiix/)

Reason for choosing Maintenance Connection

Maintenance Connection was selected because it offered the best overall balance of functionality, asset management depth, and support for preventive maintenance and compliance requirements.

### "Efficient System Backed by a Strong Support Team"

December 18, 2025

5.0

I appreciate how reliable the support team is! The system itself works efficiently to address our everyday operational needs.

Pros

Maintenance Connection system is very user-friendly. It's a very robust system that offers unlimited potential to address the growing needs of our organization. It is highly customizable and has lots of functionality.

Cons

As a user and co-admin, I have yet to experience what I like the least about Maintenance Connection. We are still working to optimize everything it can do for our organization. So far, it meets our expectations well.

### "The CMMS that can do it all and continues to grow"

September 26, 2025

5.0

I have been using MC for 12 years and I have enjoyed using this software. I have looked at other software and I always compare it to MC and it never comes close to what MC can offer.

Pros

I like the ability to track a lot of information in multiple modules, that each module connects to one another, and the customization that you can do as an admin.

Cons

I wish some modules were more robust; I wish the procedure tasks were easier to use; I wish there were a better chat feature available for techs; and I would like to see more ideas from users be implemented.

February 24, 2026

really a great way to monitor and keep track of your assets in real time. history and other features are right at you finger tips.. aside from the other programs ive used i would say that this one is quite the best.

Pros

easy connection to internet and easily finding what im looking for at a moments notice. compared to other programs where i would need to log in just to log in was figuratively unappealing.

Cons

The only downfall that i came across or felt as though would need some improving is the fact that there isnt a feature where you could retract older posts or older Work Orders that needed to be revisited. no option for retrieving deleted files either.

### "Maintenance Connection"

February 25, 2026

5.0

I have had a great experience with Maintenance connection and the usability of it from an operators phone is very useful for our facility. we keep all of maintenance and equipment manuals on our M C which allows technicians to access it from remote areas.

Pros

we use it for maintenance and operations rounds. having the ability to have specs entered is a huge plus and helps us with our operations

Cons

the website navigation isnt great. when going into an asset and navigating down through multiple planes and then going back, it forces you to go through the entire process again. the back button for the web browser will send you back to the login page.

### "MC is Awesome!"

December 18, 2025

5.0

Pros

This is a great platform overall, and I genuinely enjoy working in MC. Having everything centralized in one system makes a big difference in day-to-day efficiency. It saves a significant amount of time compared to having to switch back and forth between multiple programs, windows, or software tools just to complete routine tasks. The streamlined workflow helps reduce confusion, minimizes the chance of missing information, and allows me to stay more focused on the work itself rather than on managing different systems. Overall, MC improves productivity and makes managing tasks, documentation, and coordination much smoother and more organized.

Cons

One area where the platform could be improved is the report print function. When reports are printed or exported, the results often appear blurry or unclear, which makes them difficult to read and less professional in appearance. This can be frustrating, especially when reports need to be shared with leadership, clients, or used for official documentation. Clear, high-quality output is important for accuracy, recordkeeping, and communication, and the current print quality does not always meet those expectations. Improving the resolution and formatting of printed reports would greatly enhance usability and confidence in the system. A sharper, more readable report output would make the platform more effective for both internal and external use.

4.0

It has been a good experience so far. The only thing I would like to see is simpler/streamlined use of the app to make tasks/processes faster and save some time. I would also like to be able to automate tasks easily.

Pros

It is very streamlined and easy to use. it facilitates my days and makes my work more efficient. I am able to keep track of all my staff and their projects to ensure they are completing them in a timely manner. The app is also very secure, and has great value.

Cons

I think they could simplify some of the processes. I would like to be able to automate tasks, and sometimes it is a little complicated and hard to understand how to do this properly/effectively. The customer support is also very helpful.

As a system we need to update this more regularly and more detail training would be helpful. It would be a better system if our own team actually utilize the tools provided by MC. Overall I would continue to use it and see no problems

Pros

That a lot of items is all in one system. Pictures and videos/ documents are all important - and we are able to keep it in one system. we don't use it for financial documents - which would be useful. It has great potential.

Cons

We don't utilize enough of it and not train prior to using it - the weekly meeting is great but hard to attend

### " maintenance Tech"

February 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience has been positive. The platform helps streamline maintenance operations, reduce paperwork, and improve tracking of tasks and assets. While there is a learning curve and a few usability issues, it is a reliable tool that improves organization and efficiency once fully implemented.

Pros

The system makes it easy to track work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and keep asset history organized in one place. The interface is fairly straightforward once you get used to it, and it helps improve communication between technicians and management. Reporting features also help monitor performance and maintenance trends.

Cons

Some parts of the interface feel outdated and can take time to learn for new users. Searching for specific information or generating certain reports can require multiple steps, and mobile usability could be smoother. Customization options are helpful but sometimes confusing to configure without support.

### "MC works well for us! "

December 18, 2025

4.0

I have been working in the system for about 2 years, I knew nothing about it when I started, and the trainings were very helpful as well as the help desk when I could not figure something out.

Pros

Easy to learn, works well with our campus. Whenever I have had a question, the support has been great! From fast email reply's to setting up a phone call to walk me through the solution.

Cons

The cost of each license seems steep, when there are several of us that need to work in the system, it is a pain to have to wait until someone is done. Would be nice if there were more options for pricing.
