Pros Easy to set up and use, and deploy in multiple locations. Allows for hiring teams to have full access to all candidates and share information with each other along the hiring process. Great for screening applications and setting up interviews quickly and easily. Cons The mobile app extension to this software has a lot of opportunities to improve upon. It would be great to set up interviews directly from your phone. Review Source Irum V. Pros The candidate tracking system is the best part of this software as it even shows the top candidates and allows you to advertise and see the activity. Cons There isnt anything I do not like about this software. Its been a dream to work with and I'm looking forward to launching in August! Pros I love how easy the system is to use for any and all levels of recruiters. The added features and CRM capabilities make it a system that stands out in the industry. It will change the way we recruit in a very positive way! Cons Sometimes the integration's and configurations can be difficult to do as SmartRecruiters doesn't allow for all characters to come through which can cause issues when you are integrating systems and trying to have two systems pass data back and forth - there seems to be a lot of errors but it's easy to fix as long as you have someone who can help. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Human Resources Generalist Higher Education Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Free Version - can get the job done" March 15, 2019 4.0 Pros This is not the most robust option, but if you are a recruiter/HR manager with a very limited budget, this allows you to do all the basic functions that any other ATS would do for you. I believe companies with fewer than 200 or 250 employees can use the free version, which is really pretty cool. It allows for pre-screening questions, tracks applicant data (EEO, sourcing data, etc), stores the candidate information in an intuitive and visually appealing way, and notifies you via e-mail about new candidates. It connects to dozens of free job boards and will also connect you to paid boards. I was surprised by how much it offers for a free service. Cons Obviously with a free service there is only so much customization that can be done. Review Source Scott E. However as an external user of it, that's not all that surprising. Pros I like that SmartRecruiters gives me one place to login to work on reqs for a particular client. They can add and remove me as they need to, and being able to submit resumes there directly into their process is nice. Cons My clients didn't particularly love the software, and the look of it is a bit dated. Other than submitting resumes to make sure they're in the right bucket, I don't get any other use out of it. The resume parsing is OK, not great. It gets mostly the name and everything right, but often times messes up the paragraphs in the experience section. It is quick and easy to create and publish job postings. Applications start to arrive in 24 to 48 hours. I can choose to contact applicants through the SmartRecuriter platform or directly by telephone or email. I like that applicants can post multiple resources to their profile and I can easily access them (there's no need for me to save their resume on my computer). It's also fantastic that I can send them messages through the platform and keep a record of their responses that I can access on the site itself. Cons As of right now, there's not a hiring need that I have that SmartRecruiters has been able to fill. Perhaps if there were video or chat recording software that could help me code responses... then that could be amazing! Review Source Cameron L. SmartRecruiters makes it super easy to post position vacancies, filter through applicants and get going throughout the entire process from recruitment to hiring. Cons I haven't run into any issues with the software, I think there is a lot of value for what they offer even if you're on the free plan and even more if you're on a paid plan which makes perfect sense. Pros What I like most about SmartRecruiters is that I can write one job posting and have it submitted to lots of job boards. Smart Recruiters even gives me access to additional services like Facebook Ads and LinkIn Postings. Cons What I like least about SmartRecruiters is that, when a application comes in, they don't tell me which job board it came from. Pros Easy to configure and use. Extensive training isn't needed to get up and running. For those who require it, there are online tutorials for every part of the system. Cons Candidate search functionality isn't very robust. It is limited to predefined fields (e.g., location, degree, etc.) instead of allowing customer to define the fields from the candidate profile to use for searching and sorting (e.g., technical expertise, field of study, industry-specific terms, etc.). The internal rating system is easy to use for screening candidates, and I love the fact that you can store private notes about each one right within their profile. Cons In the past, I've had difficulty with the Craigslist integration. The jobs did not publish, and I had to go directly to Craigslist to set up the listing. I highly don't recommend it. Pros The purpose of purchasing the software was to help with our recruiting and organizing needs. The software did not help at all. Cons The product was oversold to us. We purchased the software to have a system for our internal recruiters. Once you pay the $5,000+, it seems as though you have to keep paying to get your job posts seen by candidates. I have yet to get one candidate through their system. Also, the customer representatives that helped us when we were purchasing the software are all of a sudden nowhere to be found once you pay them. They were constantly emailing us multiple times a day before the check was sent out. I email them now and I get no response. This was supposed to be a system to help eliminate some of the job boards we've been using, and all it did was make us need those external job boards even more. Reason for choosing SmartRecruiters Over sold. It may be that it's not set up correctly since it has just launched a couple weeks ago, but I spent time referring my former colleague and it just didn't work. Pros It's easy to refer people. The design is also great and implementation was fairly quick. As long as your Recruiting Team stays on top of it, it should be updated with the most recent job openings. Cons My referral disappeared. I referred a former co-worker who completed his part of the app, and I did not see it under My Referrals. Review Source CH Cassandra H.
