Pros I have been able to build a pool of talents within a very short period which makes my career shine bright in the industry. None of it would be possible without this smart tool. It is easy to customize the tool and getting things done is instant and effective. Also it did not take me long to learn how to use it, things just work my way every time I use SmartRecruiters. There were candidates that stood out and those who didn't, in the end, we found some good leads. Pros What I liked most about SmartRecruiters was that it provided a different pool of candidates for us to look at for new job openings. We recently transitioned into a different recruiting software due to an acquisition, but our team still continues to rave about how awesome SmartRecruiters was to use! Pros The best part about using SmartRecruiters is that it had a smooth layout that was appealing to use! My team always had great customer service, it was very user-friendly. Cons Sometimes the webpage would be down, which caused issues for applicants applying, but typically this issue was resolved fairly quickly. It proved to be a solid recruitment platform with a few standout strengths. The navigation is clean and simple. The dashboard provided a clear overview of all open positions and candidate progress, which helps streamline our workflow. Pros User friendly interface without requiring a lot of intensive training Customizable workflow and collaborative hiring features allowing the ability to review candidates, lead feedback and make decisions, especially with large hiring teams Cons Customer support inconsistencies specifically for users on the lower to your pricing plan with is what we had. Customer support is rather quick to answer. Cons Sponsored jobs on Indeed are no longer supported by SmartRecruiters. This is a pretty big deal. This means resumes for thos job ads do not land in the ATS, statistics are therefore skewed, all of which defeats the purpose of having an ATS. No one at SmartRecruiters bothered informing their customers. No one at SmartRecruiters or Indeed wants to fix this issue. You can only save one job ad as a template, so if you post the same job in multiple languages, this process isn't automated and so is a bit lengthy. Customer support is also only done via e-mail. Watch out for the fine print in their pricing structure. It isn't as was discussed during our negotiation. Reason for choosing SmartRecruiters It is bilingual, and their price was hard to beat. Pros It's very user-friendly and has a social media look and feel to it so most people can relate to the functionality. Cons When I export certain reports into excel, they don't always come out clean and I have to do a lot of deleted and un-merging of cells, but once I get that done, the data is very useful. Cons Earlier I was able to post n number of positions, but no it has been reduced to 10 which I did not like. The adding of location is been very complicated now. Please change it as it was earlier! All in all SmartRecruiters is very middle of the road. There is nothing I particularly love or hate about it. Pros Easy to disposition candidates and enjoy the delayed disposition feature. Initially when I was looking for an ATS system I saw a number of options but after careful research SmartRecruiters stood out. It did not disappoint. Cons When scheduling the interview it would be nice to be able to integrate a video conferencing software instead of just pasting the meeting invite link. November 27, 2018 4.0 Pros When I discovered SmartRecruiters I worked for a smaller mom and pop business. We didn't have a prior application tracking system. This product significantly improved our processes. It allowed us to post positions easily and manage our applications and share applications to other users. It was easy to set up and to post once and distribute these postings to the job aggregators we chose. The support team was very friendly and trained us. As we expanded our business this software kept up. I highly recommend trying it. We were able to improve our KPI with time to fill. Cons I really don't have many cons system. I really enjoyed using this software. The candidate experience has vastly improved due to social integration and mobile friendly use. Pros I like the ease of use for candidates and users alike. Social media integration, hiring team collaboration, and customizable applications enhance the candidate experience. SmartRecruiters Hiring App is perfect for on the go candidate review, messaging, and calling. Job postings are easy and automatically push out to multiple job boards. I don't have visibility to our quantity/pattern of tickets, so it may or may not be getting better. I also love how it makes the process very user friendly with allowing us to immediately export our posting to key job boards. Cons It has a little bit of a learning curve that's definitely needed to be able to maximize product use. Pros Easy communication with hiring managers. Great tool to stay organized. What I like most is being able to interact with an applicant in a timely manner and being able to communicate with them wherever I am. Cons Would love the platform more if I could streamline basic tasks: setting follow up reminders with applicants, reminders for hiring managers, etc. I would like to be able to keep the same message thread when having conversations with an applicant, instead of having to go back and forth from my email. Customer service was not the best when I had questions and I couldn't cancel jobs after the platform costed money. I was not notified about it costing until I tried to login one day and still had people calling me a year later about jobs floating around that I had posted on SR. Pros This used to be a free product and then one day it went sky high on price. I used it quite heavily but found it difficult to get jobs to free job boards. Using it for job hunting and the notifications/ application tracking options work very well. Cons My only gripe is that for some reason applying via LinkedIn or even adding in LinkedIn just didn't work for me. Tried clearing my cookies, using incognito, anything to try to get it to work.
