However, I had a really bad user experience, due to wrong data mapping by the jointed task force. Pros It’s a great user-friendly inventory management tool for Windows OS. Despite its UI looking old-fashion, it does the job just fine. Cons Personally, the old-fashioned UI. To elaborate, the UI looks like early 2000s Windows applications, which makes it look old. However, I believe it can be overwhelming with the negative talk and gossip at times. Pros One aspect I appreciate about Fishbowl is that everyone has the power to speak freely and honestly. It is a great way to network and also compare salary, tools, managing skills, etc. Cons I do not like the amount of spam notifications that come with Fishbowl. I do not believe the security is up to standards with the amount of notifications I now receive since using. I also believe it to be higher in price compared to other systems. However, as I learn how to work around its quirks, it is not so bad. It takes a lot of time, as mentioned it is not intuitive. Pros At first, there was not much I liked about Fishbowl. After many training hours and hiring a consultant to help with training, we are finally getting the hang of it. It is a very cost effective program compared to others out there. Cons It is overly complicated and not intuitive at all. I have worked with a number of inventory systems, a good one is hard to find that covers it all and well. Pros Anytime I have an issue i always feel confident i can call Fishbowl support and get the help to fix my issue on the call. They immediately remote in and we work through the fix, while also being educational so i can support it myself later if i come across the same issue. If the tech on the phone cant solve the issue, they get assistance from an engineer. But i always end up with a fix, and left with no concern if it will get fixed or not. Cons Backups filling up storage causing backups to fail until i manually login to the server and delete old backups. Maybe happens every other month, but i was told latest version has a fix to auto delete old backups so i no longer have to manually. Cons Reports. Fishbowl doesn't have some of the reporting tools that I need, but I hope to have this issue resolved soon with the Fishbowl team. You should consider Manufacturing edition, that will work more properly rather integrate Inventory Management to 3D party tool. Pros It is in core SAP focused for integration and QuickBooks which are popular in Texas. Fishbowl has good design and user interface. Good estimate creation capabilities. Reliable bar code processing and UPS connectivity. Excellent support. Is best for manyfacturing less applicable for trading with large number of items. Cons We used it in connection with QB Desktop and had errors and data dumps. Geo fencing needs set up. Custom report needs additional payments and drive space to be considered cautionusly with data is fully acceseible for requesting on server only in full module, so that limits integrations and migration if you choosed it. Good to have more invoice receiving automations for data recognition from email (AI?). Cons After Fishbowl was implemented and went live, we had millions of questions. We kind of felt like we were left behind and on our own. I called the customer support, but got the call back 50 minutes later which was kind of late. Also, the training video was kind of too many to watch and exhausting.
