Fishbowl is excellent multi-location tracking, automated reordering, and barcode scanning. It is complex so we are still learning but excited for its scalable solutions!

Pros

Loving Fishbowl! It's fantastic for a small business like mine. Particularly for our warehousing and QuickBooks integration.

Cons

NO cons so far! It's truly designed for small to midsize companies and we are very pleased with the implementation.

Great, they are always sending webinars for training, checking in to see how we are doing, and ready to help if we reach out with questions!

Pros

Fishbowl makes the whole sales process from estimating to invoicing super simple. The Shippo integration makes creating labels a breeze. Inventory hasn't been a problem since switching as well!

Cons

We sell rolls of substrate, and a whole roll is 54.7 yards long. We have to convert it to 55 yards and then adjust the pricing. Not a big deal, though.

I am a part of a growing company and we took a big risk to see if Fishbowl would be a good fit. We were not able to link their system to our QuickBooks accounting software and online store (Shopify) to pull location of inventory available or shipping quotes prior to full sync. The sync did not work properly talking back and forth between QuickBooks.

Pros

None. The implementation was too hasty and did not help our company map out our integration before trying to implement. Our doubts and concerns were ignored.

Cons

I was forced to pay out over $19,000 for unrendered services even though we were guarenteed success of integration. I even confirmed in our contract that they include special verbiage to confirm that we had a risk free trial to be sure this very expensive jump for us would indeed work. After my doubts that full integration would succeed were confirmed, I was refused full or even reasonable refund.

Exceptional, especially the customer support and service! I would not choose any other system again if I had a choice. Fishbowl is just wonderful and everybody who works at Fishbowl has always been polite, patient, and knowledgable with my companies issues.

Pros

Fishbowl has great inventory management and customer support. They are always on point and knowledgable about their product when I call in with an issue. I call in alot because Fishbowl is a full featured inventory management system and am still learning every single function. It is such a well designed inventory management system and they are always improving it with updates. the updating process is seamless and they are always their to help you along the way.

Cons

Not being able to have all invoices automatically integrated without manually receiving the payments in quickbooks.

Excellent. And way better than any others I hav used from an ease of use standpoint. It’s a very pretty program.

Pros

Ease of use. It’s very understated when it comes to the user friendliness. I would recommend it to anyone!

Cons

Doesn’t show all info from all aspects when you search for a supplier it didn’t show the part number and all information. So that was limited.

Been using it for about 3 years now. Really like the customer service team. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Much better than an AI chatbot or outsourced customer service.

Pros

I like how we can do everything out of fishbowl -> order management, inventory tracking, reporting, shipping labels, etc.

Cons

Never have been able to get the quickbooks online integration to work for us. Causes doubled up payments and a lot of reconciling on the accounting side.

I am the Inventory Specialist in our Manufacturing Plant. Before Fishbowl I spent countless hours looking for and counting every part in our plant, and also products. Once we signed onto Fishbowl I entered every product into the system. I added SKU's and Bar Codes to all of our parts and products and then our shipping team can scan out all orders live as they ship. Our manufacturing manager can scan completed products straight into inventory so I could have confidence when lining up the shipment, that the products were available.

Pros

I love Fishbowl for its ability to warn me of upcoming shortages in our manufacturing process. I love how it links our financial team to my orders and supplies to streamline the accounting process when invoicing and making payments. I love the ability to adjust Inventories as I walk around the plant, keeps me from wasted paper and time. I also love the fact that the customer support is live and an actual person. It has cut the cost of our operations by allowing me to be free to do other tasks. Mostly importantly, the security of knowing there is restricted access and there must be a log in for every action.

Cons

There is very little that I dislike for the fact of time saved and accountability of my suppliers. I used to spend so many hours walking around and inventorying every part 2 - 3 times a week.

We have had a wonderful experience overall, and are VERY happy we found FIshbowl when we did (8 years ago or so?) as it has fulfilled all of our inventory needs and more!

Pros

We like Fishbowl because it serves as a very robust source of truth handling everything from order processing, to invoicing and payments, to inventory management, to accounting. It is also a great bridge from our ecommerce store to quickbooks. It has way more inventory functionality than Quickbooks and our e-commerce store and really does a great job for us when it comes to managing inventory.

Cons

I don't really have many complaints with Fishbowl other than with our most current website migration, we don't need a lot of the sales features at this point and it is getting a little expensive for how we are using it just due to our exact set-up since we now have different costs with the new website and our order flow is different.

Fishbowl is an integral tool in every aspect of our production and order fulfillment process. We use it day, every day. The support team is awesome, and Fishbowl allows us to monitor and track inventories of our most basic components all the way up through each step until we have a finished product on the shelf, ready to ship.

Pros

Fishbowl is an easy solution that allows us to track inventory, manufacturing, and order fulfillment from the most basic parts and components, to finished and shipped product. For the most part, Fishbowl has integrated well with other software our company uses like Shopify and HubSpot. The customer support team is also stellar. They have always been able to answer my questions, or they take the time to find an answer and get back to me. I never hesitate to reach out to them.

Cons

I wish it was possible to receive notifications. It would be nice if I could receive an email when my stock is getting low on certain products, or customize the visibility of sales orders to easily see when certain products are being ordered (customer ordered product A, that SO is now bolded, a different color, etc.) We integrate with Shopify, and we have two separate production and fulfillment facilities. I wish Fishbowl was able to split a sales order when parts of the order will be fulfilled at facility A and the rest of the order will be fulfilled at facility B. The manual workaround is inconvenient.

Pros

Fishbowl is an excellent production, inventory management and order fulfillment and invoicing platform that integrates well with shipping, commerce APIs, and QuickBooks. The customer support is for the most part really good and available.

Cons

If you have an issue that requires attention by the programmers, it can take an extended period of time before they are addressed.

Our overall experience with Fishbowl has been solid, though not without a few challenges. Fishbowl was willing to help guide those employees, and worked tirelessly to ensure we could migrate from our old system with ease. Thank you Fishbowl Team!

Pros

Fishbowl has an end user friendly UI that makes creating orders, and purchase orders seamless. It allows for quick and easy inventory management, and notifies users of inventory deficiencies right away. The cost per account is fair for a system of this caliber. Set up with Makayla was a breeze, she was a great help in getting this moving with Fishbowl, even when our migration was not a simple case by any means.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about this system. I have made some UI suggestions, and I was made aware that those suggestions were sent up to the development team right away. Great system, amazing customer support, and engineers who are willing to hear from their end users.

Everyone that I have spoken with at Fishbowl has always been very polite and helpful. I need to remember to call instead of sending an email because it takes longer to get a response when emailing. My issues have always been taken care of efficiently and effectively once I called.

Pros

I work on the customer service side of the business, and I have to say that Fishbowl is one of the most user-friendly apps I have ever used. It is super easy to enter orders using both the customer's product number and ours. I find it very easy to invoice the orders out as well. I am very pleased with most of what it can do.

Cons

I feel like there are some things that fall on shoulders of the CSR's that should be handled by the production team/warehouse (ie: picking and shipping) but that might not be a FB issue, that could be the way my company has decided to do things. Because of that, I can't take away a star since that might not be a system issue.

Great support structure when product expectation is not meeting identified needs or when question arises that is not readily available n documentation.

Cons

There are no identifiable cons that come to mind with expectation and results of Fishbowl. From custom reporting to prevented reporting they all just work.

At this point, I’ve had the opportunity to work with three team members, and each one has been extremely welcoming and helpful in explaining how everything works. Their support has been instrumental in helping us move toward our go-live date more efficiently. In fact, they’ve allowed us to accelerate the go-live timeline by scheduling longer, more focused meetings to work closely with us. Their flexibility and commitment have made the entire process much smoother and more productive.

Pros

The platform integrates well with the systems currently in use, and the AI-driven reporting provides a strong foundation for generating clear, actionable insights. It also supports a wide range of warehouse operations, whether items are shipped directly, handled through a 3PL, or fulfilled via Amazon FBA. This flexibility makes it well-suited for diverse fulfillment strategies as operations scale.

Cons

One drawback during the research process was the lack of transparent pricing information online. While the demo was helpful and informative, it would be beneficial to have at least a general idea of the pricing tiers available. This would help quickly assess whether the solution aligns with the budget and operational needs before committing to a deeper evaluation.

Pros

The wait for a tech. (I understand that I am not the only one needing help.) So I try to be patient.

Overall good, as IT Director, the product seems solid and its nice to have reliable support to leverage if i ever have any issues i cant resolve.

Pros

Anytime I have an issue i always feel confident i can call Fishbowl support and get the help to fix my issue on the call. They immediately remote in and we work through the fix, while also being educational so i can support it myself later if i come across the same issue. If the tech on the phone cant solve the issue, they get assistance from an engineer. But i always end up with a fix, and left with no concern if it will get fixed or not.

Cons

Backups filling up storage causing backups to fail until i manually login to the server and delete old backups. Maybe happens every other month, but i was told latest version has a fix to auto delete old backups so i no longer have to manually. Server seems to have minimal resources, so sometimes when i get in there to try and provide any support, it seems slow to navigate around in.
