Pros

I have been using Meltwater regularly to track media coverage and social conversations for multiple brands. The media monitoring feature is very useful for tracking online news, articles & publications in one place. I also like how the dashboards can be customized based on brand or campaign needs. The tagging & filtering options help in sorting large volumes of data and make reporting easier. It saves a lot of manual effort when tracking brand visibility

Cons

Sometimes setting up complex queries takes time and needs trial and error. The tool can also feel heavy when loading large dashboards or multiple searches at once

Overall, it was positive, good product, but it was more than we wanted to pay. I should clarify that we didn't use the outreach tools or social media listening which would have made it more useful for us!

Pros

Ease of use, good customer support, and good features.

Cons

I felt limited for reporting -- it was hard to compare more than two competitors and required me to create charts outside the platform. We no longer use Meltwater.

Great way to get an insight into specific topics in news/social media, delivered regularly to our inbox

Pros

Ability to quickly compile lists of relevant media articles and social media mentions based on a versatile list of keywords.

Cons

Sometimes produces a lot of "noise" if the keywords are not fully developed or the tool hasn't been "trained" to our use

We use Meltwater primarily for social media monitoring as well as for building media lists for our clients.

Pros

Meltwater is one of the top media databases for PR professionals

Cons

No media database is perfect in terms of either staying current with media members and/or as it relates to media monitoring. Can be expensive in terms of number of seats and/or tools used.

Je l'utilise quotidiennement pour mon client et il m'est utile à chaque fois. Il me fait une pige automatique et il me reste plus que à trier et tirer les informations et les articles qui me concerne. Je passe au minimum 1h dessus par jour. C'est un des outils avec lequel je travaille le plus et qui est indispensable pour le métier de RP.

Pros

Je l'utilise quotidiennement pour mon client et il m'est utile à chaque fois. Il me fait une pige automatique et il me reste plus que à trier et tirer les informations et les articles qui me concerne.

Cons

Quelques oublies d'articles de temps en temps mais ça reste très rare.

Meltwater est un outil de veille efficace mais a utilisé en complément d'un autre outil de veille car présente tout de même beaucoup d'inconvénients comme cités présentement. Je ne recommanderai pas seul.

Pros

Meltwater est une application qui retrace la plupart des parutions webs. Il est confortable d'utiliser cette application dans le cadre de sa veille journalière.

Cons

Malheureusement, selon moi, Meltwater présente beaucoup d'inconvénients et de dysfonctionnements. En effet, Meltwater ne retrace pas toutes les parutions web et aucune parution print, ce qui est très embêtant lors d'une veille. De plus, le site web me semble très difficile d'utilisation. Beaucoup de paramètres qui ne sont pas expliqués.

The ability to combine data from different channels is great and getting detailed reports has also been a big plus.

Pros

I really like this platform, it's easy to use and it allows me to get valuable information about the performance of my campaigns and better understand my audience.
